Chris returned my call within an hour and asked what was going on. My hot tub wasn't turning on and he basically walked me through the process with the outside fuse (one I had never seen the likes of before) and realized it was in upside down. Put it in correctly, turned on the main breaker and TaDa~the hot tub turned on. Thanks Chris for saving the day

They responded quickly. They came out to evaluate what was wrong and then ordered the necessary part. Once it came in, they were right back out to fix it and everything has been working since then.

The leak was fixed but only 3 months later it started leaking again. It looks like it is coming from the same spot. I did put a D on quality because thats alot of money to have it leaking again in just 3 months.

They replaced a circuit board and tested the spa. They are good people to work with, their responsiveness is outstanding. I am very comfortable with them. Spas are very complicated and they seem to know what is going on every time they come out. They are very confident.

The service man was delayed due to a project on the first scheduled visit but the owner called ahead of time to set up another appointment. This was a non-critical issue so this was no problem. The tech arrived the next day 30 minutes early and suggested replacing the valve and faucet with a straight pipe. We never use this valve or faucet and the repair would be much easier and cheaper for me. He also did a thorough inspection and found another leak I was not aware of. He replaced a section of pipe to repair that. I purchased the spa 15 years ago from Southern Home Spa's and they have been completely professional and responsive since I owned it. We had a major problem with the heater two days before Christmas, 2009. I was going to drain it and let it set through the holidays. I call John(the owner) and he said his tech was in the area. The tech came by and fixed the heater leak within 2 hours. I did not have to drain, clean, and refill the spa. This saved me some badly needed time during the holidays

I have two concerns about the company. Having said that, I intend to stay with them. Over the years, when I have called them to respond to some unusual event (like one time the hot tub drained), they always suggest a very expensive "fix." I have learned to watch to see if the issue returns before spending more money on the pool. Also, they randomly raise their weekly maintenance charges with no prior notice. They are expensive, but I think they are worth it

We had an extremely positive experience with Marty. He is timely, thorough, and friendly. I do believe that his prices are extremely reasonable as well. We will certainly call on him again when we need electrical service done.

They came up with ideas to make it look very good and keep price reasonable, including using existing spa tub. We have used these folks for window replacements, new doors, hardwood flooring, inside and outside painting and have always found them to be great and very price competitive.

The dispatcher and service tech worked together to shift their schedule in order to provide me with immediate service and I greatly appreciated that. They removed my nonworking swimming pool (inground) pump and replaced it with a new one. The service tech was friendly, knowledgeable and did excellent work. I found Southern Spa on Angie's list and will continue to call on them for all my needs in the future instead of the pool company I have used for the last 8 years -- The Pool and Patio Shop in High Point, NC, who never did a job right the first time, always did sloppy work, and was just an all around hassle to work with. The details are this: I had placed a service call with Pool and Patio several days ahead of time to coincide with the exact day that my new pool pump would arrive from a third party. They did not show up on the scheduled day to do the work.. When I called to inquire, I was told that now, it would be several days later before they would be there. I became frantic because my pump had been broken down for about 5 days and no water had been circulating; plus, in 2 days I was scheduled to catch a plane to California for a long vacation. I started searching for another company to quickly do the work; however, several phone inquiries all gave me the same answer in that it would be many days before I could receive service. Even Southern Spa gave me this initial response, but when they heard the desperation in my voice they changed their schedule to accomodate me immediately. It was less than 2 hours from the time I made my initial phone call to Southern Spa to the moment my new pump was installed perfectly. Amazing!!!!! Southern Spa was truly my hero that day

They have come out a couple of times to look at an issue that I was having. I have had good service from them. They worked with a contractor that we had to enclose our back deck. The owner worked with that company in setting the pool down on top of the concrete. They set up the plumbing and everything. The service cost was covered under the warranty. They really pay attention to their relationships with the customer. The owner was very responsive. He helped me make a decision about which product to buy. He came out to my house several times without any contractors. He just took the chance and made all these visits. They were very cooperative about working with the construction company when I finally made the decision to buy. It was a really good experience overall

Richard is incredibly efficient and exacting- Other reviews say "meticulous," and I agree. At the end of every day, Richard was sure to clean up and leave all areas neat. He allowed the kitchen to be as useable as possible. He made great recommendations and suggestions. Before adding molding to the ceiling, he had to remove 27 yr old wallpaper border. He did this easily and seemed to have the molding up in no time. I had some very plain, unfinished-looking areas on cabinets and walls that he enhanced with molding, as well. In order to install the backsplash I wanted, he had to take out a cabinet above the microwave so he did this, raised the microwave, and made a box for a future wine rack above the microwave with left-over room. He installed new backsplashes beautifully. Some of the cabinet doors were a bit crooked and the counters were not level. He fixed them, as well. Richard and an electrician friend of his installed canned lighting in the ceiling, added pendant lights, and changed out the chandelier. They also installed under counter lighting and moved outlets for more convenience. Incidentally, they also installed a ceiling fan in a bedroom. Richard has also done many other jobs for me. Recently, he installed a hot tub on my deck, replaced rotten boards, painted the deck, and secured it underneath for the weight of the tub. He installed new railings, as well. Richard power washed the area, including my deck cushions. Richard is as non-invasive as possible by being as quiet as the job allows and by being courteous in manner and approach. He is polite, well-spoken, and seems to enjoy challenging jobs. He is not passive in his thinking, but rather he is always problem-solving and engaged. He wants the customer to be happy with the job he has done. He is happy when he can walk away knowing his customer is satisfied-who wouldn't want someone like him working for them! Richard has family members who can help him when the job calls for more than one person ( such as installing a hot tub). His daughter is a handy-woman by profession and he has sons who help him at times

Working with Andriy was wonderful. His attention to detail is superb. He kept me updated all the time and always had options when there were design decisions to make. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for, but in this case I feel we got much more. It was not a cheap job, but other estimates were in the same range but offered lower grade components. People who see the bathroom exclaim that it is like walking into a spa. I am looking to more projects where I can work with Andriy again

We closed on a house on December 2, 2014 which has an existing thermal spa installed. As they are the only local company who performs inspections, I called them, as did my Realtor, multiple times (approximately 12 times total) to get an inspection performed. On the two occasions that someone answered the phone, they claimed that they had called but when asked what number they called, they could never "find that information". We finally gave up.... A shameful way to do business

PF Plumbing

They were referred to us by a couple different contractors, architects, and also their grade was good here on Angie's List. We had noticed some water spots on the ceiling between the first and second floor of the house. We initially called one plumber and they said that the problem was from one of the bathrooms' tub upstairs. He replaced the drain that he though was leaking and over the weeks after we noticed that the water stains were continuing to get larger. So we called PF Plumbing. They were supposed to come late in the day on Friday, but then they called and said they can come sooner, we said great and accepted. When they arrived they looked at the spots and looked upstairs and said they needed to cut away at the sheetrock. Initially he wore some bags over his shoes to not make a mess while walking around the house. Then when he told us what he thought needed to be done, we asked him some more questions about the cost and the procedure, and the more we asked so that we could better understand the more frustrated he became with us. Finally we said fine, do the work. He went out to his truck and came back with his ladder and saw and began to cut. But this time he had no covers on his shoes and he did not cover or ask us to move the area rug that was on the ground. When he cut open the ceiling water and junk fell out of the ceiling all over the rug, damaging it. We had to ask him several times to stop so that we can move the area rug and bring towels and buckets to put under him. As a "professional" he should have taken the preventive measures and had these things under his ladder just in case there was going to be water pouring out. He cut away and said that the leak was from the Jacuzzi upstairs in the master bathroom. We told him that it had not been used in 5+ years and this water leaking is too new to be from the Jacuzzi. We asked him if he was certain, and he kept insisting that it was, then we said do you not want to check the other leak spots to make sure it is not from somewhere else, he kept saying no and insisting that it is from this particular pipe/drain. We still did not understand why he thought it was only this pipe when the damage was all over the ceiling in different spots down the hallway. He did the drain replacement and got his money and he cleaned up with our help in clean up and he left. He said to leave the hole open so that the sheetrock and wood beams can dry off and he said that there will be some dripping from the wet sheetrock and wood beams and eventually it would stop. However, the leaking and dripping is coming still and it is coming every time we turn on the faucets and showers on upstairs, and not from the Jacuzzi. Obviously the problem is not fixed and we will contact them to either correct it or for a refund. The longer the employee stayed and the more questions we asked so that we could better understand the situation and the problem the more he was getting frustrated. His behavior showed that we were keeping him from something else that he thought was more important to him. It is a shame that we had such a bad experience, because others that have rated them have given them great reviews
Terrible! Wish I had gone with another company. Here is the issue with Heavenly Heat. If your sauna arrives damaged or and issue arrives -- they have zero technical support. Your repairs will be done by any "joe" that heavenly heat finds to do the repair in your area. They will have no experience with Sauna's and are given no instructions regarding the chemical free aspect of these sauna's. The worst part is the buyer, me, was treated as if I was the problem for wanting my sauna repaired correctly. I would have refused the delivery had I realized I was receiving a damaged sauna and would have to spend hours and days trying to get this resolved. The owner, Bob Morgan, is extremely responsive before he has your money but after, is a different story. When inquiring about the sauna he would respond generally within 10 minutes. After you purchase, and particularly if you have a problem with it, you are treated as if you're a nuisance. My sister bought a competitors sauna around the same time and the service she received from knowledgable representatives was a world of difference from my experience. My other issue was that there were shipping delays and Bob would never communicate them. I would have to pursue him to get information. I think they make a decent sauna but I would not recommend for reasons stated above
We had a problem with one of their employees smoking on our property. We complained to the manager of the company. Other than that everything was good. In the winter they are a Christmas shop and in the summer they do pools. They treated the water and vacuumed out the algae. We can see the bottom of the pool. They charge $85 an hour. It took three visits but, they did a good job. They discovered a part on our pump that was malfunctioning so, they replaced it. They seem to be good on price

They came out in late June/July. It was perfect. They did fine. We bought a package for 200 for 6 hours of labor and we got 2 guys. They did real good.
We continue to have problems, so honestly, the service was never completed. Mr. Kitchel probably believes he was done in May, 2013 which is not true. Contract price was $36,740 but unplanned add-ons totaling thousands d/t poor planning substantially increased the price as we progressed Ken Kitchel purchased the fiberglass pool we chose from Tallman Pools in Georgia, a great company who offers a quality fiberglass pool. As a statement of fact, Mr. Kitchel instructed all subcontractors during this job, even though he's now saying "they" were not his responsibility. Really Mr. Kitchel??? He was the one who told us we could save money by contacting subcontractors nearby to work. Who did he think was going to direct them??? First major problem which is haunting us now, the hole was dug too low, but he placed the pool in it anyway. Even the guy from Tallman Pools who delivered it said it was too low. My husband is a 100% war wounded Vietnam Veteran - Mr. Kitchel suggested we get steps (!)...not really an option and he knew that. WE paid ($2100) the next day under Mr. Kitchel's direction to have it crane-lifted out of the ground, back filled to get the pool at ground level, and set back in the ground the second time. He said he pulled some strings and did us a big favor to get these folks back............a favor???? Rather than the professional standard, of which Mr. Kitchel apparently does not partake, would have been to place an adequate and firm SAND base for the fiberglass pool unit to settle in to. Mr. Kitchel simply lightly dusted it with the leftover sand AFTER first pushing back in the dirt which was previously removed - the dirt containing rock and clay - stating he doesn't like to do that....but did it anyway!!! Why didn't he buy more sand???? Such an inexpensive way to do the job right the second time around. Remember we paid $2100 to rectify the wrong and to get it right. In HINDSIGHT, WE SHOULD HAVE THROWN HIM OFF THE JOB THEN and saved ourselves the mess he created and left us with. Guess what - OUR DREAM POOL HAS SETTLED AND CRACKED!!!! Not the fiberglass, but the whole fiberglass unit has sunk down and pulled away from the tile work and cement decking leaving GAPING CRACKS. Additionally, and because of Mr. Kitchel's poor planning at the beginning, we had to have built a retaining wall, ($2500) under Mr. Kitchel's instructions to the subcontractor. Mr. Kitchel promised it would be a seamless blend using the same product he was placing on the decking surrounding the pool. Because I stated the quality of the work was not what he promised, he angrily signed an addendum stating in his own words:...."If wall guy does not fix I will and then I will file a lawsuit against the wall guy to cover my costs to fix." Sounds to me like he was managing the work if he wants to sue the guy - didn't know Mr. Kitchel was the litigious type who settles his problems in court....that in itself tells a story. Mr. Kitchel also made the ridiculous statement that since he's the last man standing he'll get stuck with the blame.......gee, you think so Mr. Professional Pool Builder/Contractor????? He also facilitated the purchase of a pool dome ($6100) which he promised he would install for us this fall (now), nominal costs involved, but we're not holding our breath for follow through on that promise either. Someone is coming out to install this dome, which Ken purchased with our money and promised to set up, for a fee of $800. AGAIN, not what we were promised or bargained for!!! Overall, this pool installation has been a nightmare. Unprofessional. Disappointing. Extremely poor workmanship. He is proving himself belligerent and without responsibility for his work. MR KITCHEL WON'T CALL or EMAIL US to ADDRESS the PROBLEMS he has left us to deal with!!!! We have tried repeatedly. I know for a fact the profit from this sale /job was substantial - but he is not a professional and has simply taken our money and left us with his problems d/t poor workmanship - he says that they are not his problems...................Really Mr. Ken Kitchel??? Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Ken Kitchel and The Pool and Spa Store in Mocksville, NC

I must compliment them on the job. First, they were the only company that even bothered to call me back, and I called several. Second, they showed up as scheduled for the first visit. Assessed the issue, corrected a portion with the proviso that they would obtain a new pump for replacement. Third, scheduled the second visit, again, showed up as scheduled and completed the work. And finally, the invoice was below, quite a bit below frankly to what I had prepared for. I hope I won't need their services any time soon, but they will be the only company that I will engage in the future and you can be assured that I will recommend Aqua Squad to any of my friends
