PF Plumbing
PF supplied two estimates: 1) repair existing faucet (~ $200), 2) replace with new faucet (about twice as much). I signed agreement to pay for repair. PF attempted to repair, and damaged the water pipe. As this meant more work to repair, in addition to a new faucet the cost was now almost $1000. I had no choice but to pay, as the water supply for the house had to be turned off. PF said they gave me a deal, as the only fixture they had in the truck that would work was a high quality fixture which they discounted. Photo is the original shower fixture. PF should have brought up this possibility, along with a cost estimate prior to any work being done. I would expect them, as experienced plumbers, to understand this possibility. Instead, they left me feeling I was played as a sucker

Mr. Hayden brought a new faucet to replace the old leaking one, but after looking at the present faucet he felt he could repair rather than replace it. After the refinishing was completed, he returned and installed the new faucet and even installed a hand-held shower. Did a great job and would definitely use them again. Two workers. One knowledgable and the other just a helper. Looked over the situation and gave me a quote of $442 for what was basically a sink installation -- LABOR ONLY. I thought this was pretty expensive and out of line, but quite honestly didn't want to have to pay them for the visit and then start all over again. (Of course, they know this.) I told them okay. The job turned out to be a bit more involved than they expected. They were unable to install the soap dispenser that came with the sink. That was very unfortunate and not what they had promised. They left the seal around the new sink in a pretty messy condition. I ended up having to clean all that mess up myself. After working for a couple of hours, the lead worker said he would have to charge me an extra $100, because the job was harder than he had anticipated. $542?!?!?! To install a sink?!?!? I told him no, but that I would agree to pay them $500 total. That was perhaps a mistake on my part (I don't like changing the price of something in the middle of a job), but I was trying to be fair. In summary: The finished job was (at best) a Grade and quot;Cand quot;. I have a very expensive sink with no soap dispenser and I had to do the final caulk clean up myself. Is it terrible? No. Was it worth $500? No. Were they professional? No. I would NOT use them again for ANY plumbing job

First of all, they called and showed up when they said they would. I've dealt with other contractors who did not, so this is important to me. Andrew actually arrived a few minutes early, wearing a mask (important since this was around the first of May). He inspected the pipes, went over what needed to be done, and emailed me the estimate about two hours later. And they didn't charge me a fee to come give me an estimate. I asked for an additional quote for installing the utility sink and all that went with it and promptly received a quote for that also. On work day, they arrived when expected and immediately got to work. Andrew and I went over the installation of the utility sink and he offered a better solution for the same price. The work went quickly, the crew was courteous, and the clean up afterwards was fantastic. As always happens with any project of any size, they encountered a few problems created by the prior installers. Andrew went over the problems and explained what needed to be done. I felt comfortable that the work needed to be done and was not just some random add-on to the price. They completed the work on the sewer main on Friday afternoon and we scheduled a time for them to come back and finish the sink installation, with the possibility they might be able to get back earlier, which they did. The final bill was higher than the original estimate, but I was satisfied that I was not being overcharged for the additional work. I would like to mention a couple of other things that impressed me. The first is that Andrew stopped by several times during the day to make sure the work was going well and to see if his crew needed anything. He also brought them lunch so they wouldn't have to go off-site, delaying getting my bathrooms operational again. I had another contractor whose crew was here for five days. I saw the supervisor once. The other is that I had a question a couple of days after the job was completed. I emailed Andrew and he promptly called me back, even though an email would have been fine. Bodenheimer did a good job for me at what I thought was a good price
