I chose to use their services after having gotten a quote from another company, and they gave me an opposite experience of the one I'd had with the first company (which was not good). First of all, they were very responsive. They contacted me immediately to set up an appointment. The service tech came exactly on time. He was totally professional and courteous. He crawled around under the house, inspected the cracks we were seeing on the drywall inside, and asked a bunch of questions about what we were experiencing. He took pictures of any issues in the crawl space to show me at the consultation, and he drew an accurate diagram of the crawl space, house, and the cracks in the foundation. (The previous company had mis-measured my house by 400 square feet!) He spent over two hours with me, explaining many different options and letting me know what he would do were he in my situation. He didn't seem the LEAST bit like a salesman, like he was only interested in selling me a product. He genuinely seemed like he wanted to be sure I wound up with the best option for our home, and not the most expensive option. (He mentioned to me that his company gets most of their work through referrals and word-of-mouth and that they'd rather find the RIGHT solution to make someone happy than sell them something more expensive that they don't need.) The previous company had suggested we do a drainage system with full encapsulation and install eight jacks to support the house, to the tune of $21k. The guy from Be-Dry suggested we try a drainage system first, thinking it might solve our problem by itself and we might not have to do encapsulation or jacks; he figured, since we'd have to do the drainage system before any other option anyway, we might as well see if that solves the problem on its own and we could always pursue those other options down the road if we need to. I really appreciated that. Also, their warranty is a lifetime warranty, so no matter who owns the house, it's guaranteed as long as the house is standing. The other company's warranty was 10 years, if I remember, and they had lots of ways to wiggle out of it if they didn't want to pay. This fellow sat with me and explained to me in depth how and why their system works the way it does, and it made me confident that I'd be getting a quality product. Then, when I contacted him with questions over the following day, he responded quickly and thoroughly. The person who does their scheduling called me within a day or two of my saying I wanted to go with them. Initially, she just let me know the week they'd be likely to do it and that she'd be calling closer to then to give me a specific day. She did so, and the work was scheduled. The workers arrived one minute before they were scheduled and let me know they were going to work. The foreman-type (the one who did the talking) was, again, very professional and friendly. They seemed to know what they were doing without needing me to answer any questions. Seems like the communication within the company is quite good. The three men performed the work over two days, and they left my yard pristine. When I mentioned that this seems like really hard work, and I sure wouldn't want to do it myself (digging all day with just 3 feet of clearance??!), the guy cheerfully replied, "Yeah, I guess you really have to like it!" I asked him if he did, and he said, "Oh yeah. It's challenging, and I like the challenge. Plus, it keeps me in shape. I only have to go to the gym once a week." I loved hearing how enthusiastic he is about his job, and it made me feel good about the work he was doing. It was a great experience overall! I'd highly recommend them. I'm writing this the day the whole thing was installed, so I don't know what the outcome will be long term, but I'm very pleased with my experience to this point

PuroClean Emergency Property Restoration

First of all, let me say that I am not someone who usually posts a review, but this one I HAD to do out of shear appreciation!! We were so thrilled to have found PuroClean through Angies List! The owner, Chris Nowak was friendly, professional, informative and transparent about a moderate mold discovery in an area of our crawl space. He clearly explained the remediation steps needed, and even advised on ways to keep it from coming back (since it's basically a space subject to environmental factors). He also went over and above to accommodate our tight time frame and fit us in, even though he had a much larger job going on at the same time. The 'icing on the cake' was his quote...it was from 2x to 6x LOWER than the previous two we had gotten from other competitors! But again, it was not just the price that made our decision...it was simply the way Chris did business. We really felt like he had our best interests at heart. And although it was clear that he takes the business of mold remediation very seriously (as did we), we appreciated that he didn't try to use a lot of 'smoke and mirrors' to scare us into extensive, unnecessary procedures and costs...(which was refreshing after the two previous inspections and quotes). And the proof that his approach worked was the final result...the post-lab test that came back "clear"!! He knows what he's doing!! So the bottom line is, we felt like we didn't just hire a great contractor for a job, but we made a friend in the process. Thanks again Chris and PuroClean!! :-

Since I've had this encapsulation The crew came on time & believe me these guys work no stop. It was 3 days of grading the dirt down there & getting the foam board installed. The weather was extremely hot mid 90's all 3 days. The last day they were here 12 hours & answered all my questions & showed me how to change the filter in the dehumidifier & see the work in progress. Yes it is expensive but I have asthma and I will be deathly sick if there is mold. My A/C has been reduced significantly

Tony was easy to access and was patient with my questions. He and his crew responded to my home to install a french drain and sump pump inside my crawl space soon after my initial call to him. I was pleased with his professionalism and his guarantee on his work. I looked at the work done and it looks to be good quality work

Great service. As I already had a great vapor barrier installed they worked with me on a solution to do what I need versus what someone wants to sell. Given what I had in place already, they recommended a solution tailored for my needs that saved me money. Very pleased.

I found Louis Lee Beratta through Nextdoor.com. Louis is NOT liscensed, insured, bonded or certified, although he will lead you to believe differently. Regretfully, I hired Louis to repair my crawl space and fix a bathroom, both of which had been damaged by a bursted pipe. Louis charged a lot of money for unfinished repairs that I later found out were not done up to code. He did not pull permits, call for after work inspections and he is NOT licensed to do construction in NC. Louis was in/out of my home from Jan-May 2018. He damaged much of my personal property, the work was done wrong and prescription drugs came up missing during his work at my home. Louis left the gate open numerous times which endangered the safety of my pets. Louis brought a convict into my home without my knowledge. Louis stored his equipment in my home, in my crawl space, under my deck and in my shed. He started many projects without my authorization. He even did a minor repair at my neighbors after she told him not to. When I fired Louis, he became verbally abusive and threatened to place a lien on my home. I filed criminal and civil charges against Louis. The courts awarded in my favor. Evidently, I’m not the only one that has filed charges against Louis. Louis talks a good game and will present bids and photos that reflect his work favorably. Please consider yourself warned before you hire Louis Lee Beratta (and his girlfriend Jenny Springs). I will gladly share photographs that will accurately reflect the work quality of Louis Lee Beratta. My interaction with Louis was a nightmare and it will take me a long time to recover from all of his damages
The workman arrived timely and went about his work in a professional manner. He was unquestioning to suggestions I made and moved to satisfy me with his work.
They seem to be pretty reliable. They fixed the problem for a while. It was ok. It was fine. For what they do, they do fine. We later had the crawl space encapsulated, and that was much better, because it protected the crawl space from animals and all that stuff. They took care of the water problem.
Mark came to our house and made a recommendation that was pretty similar to his competitors. Seal-Tite's bid came in significantly lower. All bidders were highly-rated and professional. We had some concerns about the terms of the contract, which Seal-Tite addressed to our satisfaction. The crew was great. Gus, the foreman, was terrific. He asked about every part of the job where he thought we might have a concern. It turns out our footer was several feet lower than anticipated, but Seal-Tite did the extra digging without question. They were careful about debris and the placement of excavated fill. The encapsulation was done first and by the time the rest of the project was done, the musty smell we had previously experienced was mostly gone. We could not have been more pleased with Seal-Tite's performance
All the insulation in my crawl space had fallen and was hanging like tree moss from the flooring. I found Dr. Energy Saver on Angie's List and gave them a call. They were easy to contact and make an appointment with. The estimator, James, came to my home promptly at the agreed upon time. He was friendly, helpful, and full of information that I needed to make a decision about the right insulation product for me. He gave me lots of educational material about their products. And, I learned why they have an insulation system unique to the industry. I enjoyed their informational Youtube videos, too. So, I chose to have the Clean Space system installed. Everything went according to how James said the work would go. The installation crew was on time, friendly, worked hard, and got the job done right on schedule. I was very pleased with the entire experience with Alert Construction from start to finish. When I am ready to redo the attic insulation, I will call Dr. Energy Saver
A+ for Falcone. A termite company had recommended encapsulating my crawl space and adding a dehumidifier at a cost of roughly $5000. Falcone took moisture readings and examined the crawl space for any signs of moisture problems and found readings within normal limits and no signs of any moisture problems - so recommended no work to "remedy" any moisture "problem." Falcone noticed a potential problem with a girder, which we discussed. It may not need to be addressed, but he gave me an estimate for shoring it up with better piers. He was straightforward, not trying to sell me on anything, and I appreciated his candid advice. He was also punctual and completely professional
It went absolutely fantastic! They are polite, very courteous, well informed, and made sure you did a walk through to make sure you were satisfied. They went above and beyond the work they do to satisfy my request. They have been in business since 1958 product 100% guranteee warranty for life and will transfer to the new owner if home is sold. Their lifetime guarantee is written into an act of congress. They also do financing, and have a great referral program. If you use this company let them know Greg Wilson recommended them!!! They are the BEST

What do customers in Winston Salem say about Encapsulate Crawl Space?
Chris, Brandon, and Tiffany were as professional and knowledgeable as anyone could ask for. They were honest, reliable, and on time. When they said they would be there or do something they did it 100%! Anytime I called Chris for whatever reason he either answered right away or would call right back. They performed total remediation to our crawl space and we couldn't be happier! We could not be happier with PuroClean and the job they did for us! I would highly recommend them! The photo that goes with this is an after shot from were it was cleaned. They made it look brand new!
