What we like so much about working with Chris is his knowledge and creativity when confronted with unexpected obstacles. I contracted Marlon Trippett of "Deck Specialist" to remove an existing deck on our house and build a new deck in its place. The new deck was extended, doubled in size, surrounded with steps on three sides, and a planter box was built and installed in one corner of the deck. It's amazing. My family was extremely pleased. It's beautiful and will be great for entertaining. The construction team was very professional and easy to work with. Tom, the project manager was attentive and extremely accommodating. Mike, the main craftsman, demonstrated wonderful skills when constructing the deck. When an existing problem was discovered upon removing the old deck, we discussed options and worked out solutions to correct the issue. They worked within the time-table and did everything that had been discussed. They were reliable and punctual. I was really happy with the outcome of this project. I would not hesitate to use this company again on future home improvements

Marlon was great to work with. We contacted him to get a quote on remodeling our existing wood deck and adding an addition on as well. He was one of several contractors we called to get a quote, but was one of the few to actually get back to us. We had a quote back within a couple of days from him. During the process of getting bids for this job though we had to make some modifications to our budget. When we shared this with Marlon he was very understanding & even came back out to see what he could do within our budget. Within a week of signing a contract & putting down a deposit, he and his crew (who were all very friendly & professional) were here starting on our deck. Throughout the whole process-from beginning to end-Marlon was great about returning calls/text messages promptly. And the new deck looks amazing!!! We couldn't be happier. We got exactly what we wanted. Their work is top notch!

The deck was not built to the plan as contracted in picture and graph and writing. When we met with the owner and then with his workman, they both said they build the deck according to the plan. So we signed the contract. But then the workman showed up with the lumber already purchased, they did not have a copy of the plan. They built a deck that did not match the plan. We paid them in full. We met with the supervisor and he agreed that it was not according to plan. We told them to just remove the deck and we would get someone else to do it. They would not even do that. Our remedy is to go to court

The experience wasn't the best. They didn't put the wood up that was supposed to be installed, and then they made the hole to big for the gutter. The second crew that did come in did a good job though, and they did tell me that they fired the first crew and stopped a job to bring in there replacements

The work crew was very professional, removed the old deck, carried off the old materials, and built the new deck, thoroughly cleaning up when they finished. We hired the Serpaco painting team to replace about 26 boards on our wooden deck (because of sap coming through), re-stain the deck, and re-screen and repaint the screened in porch. When I met the team leader, Mason, he was very personable and willing to come to our house on a Saturday to give us a quote. We called him back the next week to set up dates for the project to be completed. The guys who completed the project were extremely hard-working, and Mason checked in on the job every day. He checked all of the small details to make sure nothing was left unfinished. To re-screen the porch, the outside wood boards needed to be pulled off, and some of them broke in the process (this is common). Mason called me when this happened to let me know we were going to need to replace these boards. This is just one example of how I was included in each step of the project. The stain that the team used is a ?dock and deck? stain and has help up very nicely since the work was completed about a month or so ago. We very much enjoy our deck?s ?face lift!

This went so well. The deck had been partially smashed by a large tree branch and other trees damaged a front porch. The work was beautiful, lovely quality craftsmanship, even, true and attractive. Jenny did an excellent job on all the projects. Her workload has grown dramatically after several glowing reviews on Angie's List, so it can be difficult to get on her schedule. However, once you are on her schedule, she treats you as though you are her only client. She has been consistently approachable, pleasant, and professional. Two things especially stand out in her favor: (1) Jenny is not bothered by questions and concerns from her clients (some other vendors that I have hired in the past became irritable and impatient when asked questions), and (2) Jenny prioritizes her existing clients when scheduling her work, so there is a benefit for repeat business
