Not good! driveway holds more water than the hover dam. The neighborhood calls it the birdbath driveway Unfortunately they take no pride in the work they do otherwise they would have tore out the mess of a driveway they installed before it went public. Pictures are worth a thousand words

We hired Monarch in Fall of 2018. The crew that came out to do the base was great. The guys worked with me to get the layout just right. The paving crew was a another story. They did not lay it out the way it was marked but did something else. I had footprints in the asphalt from them after they rolled it. Hard to notice but they were there but the biggest issues is where there the rolled it I have sharp lines as they rolled it in wrong direction so when snow blowing or plowing the equipment digs in. The other issue is the vehicles still sink into the pavement. I stated calling them in April of 2019 to get someone out to look at it. I called every couple weeks till late July when Todd came out but not when I was here like I asked as he didn't really see what the issues were. Pretty hard to miss. They said they would have a crew come out and fix. One day I came home and had some darker spots and didn't know what that was from. Found out they did come out and fix 6 of the "tire" marks but missed the other 12 and did nothing else. Now 2020 and I have cars still sinking into the pavement even when it is in the low 70's. I have had new asphalt layed before and never had this. I even have my smaller Kubota tractor leave tire marks along with larger pieces of wood and such. Many contractors have been here over last year to do work and none has ever seen it this bad. I gave up contacting them as they do not care once they get paid. The pictures are from last month

A Tight Seal LLC
The seal coating itself seems to be not as durable as I hoped it would be. Just from normal driving on it, it was worn pretty good before winter was even over. Forget using any sort of chains on your snowblower - they'll go right through the coating (our previous coating didn't do this). I understand that this coating will wear over the course of a few years - but I'm disappointed in just how much it has worn in the short time since we had it applied. We're having a pool put in now, so there's been a lot of heavy equipment moved over the driveway, so I didn't expect the coating to survive that process very well, so no sense in going back to Seal King at this point to see if they'd do anything for us. I don't know if there's some option to have an extra-durable coating applied or whatever, but I'd probably go that route if they offered it. Again, no issues at all with the people or process or application, just didn't have good luck with the product this time around. Even though I said I would use them again, I'd probably shop around a lot more next time and compare the products they use

Cornerstone was a fantastic company with whom to work. They were professional and accommodating. During our construction we ran into a time that a tree was flowering and dropping pedals. Cornerstone recognized this issue and rearranged the schedule appropriately. In addition, weather delays were managed quickly and with little to no inconvenience. The construction crews were efficient and professional: . Demo crew was here and gone quickly and left no mess. . Concrete pouring went quickly also and looked great. Post pouring: . Sealing was a breeze and definitely effective given one could see water pooling several months later. . Landscape reseeding was effective and needed no additional return to enhance following the initial visit. We are extremely happy with the end product and would highly recommend Cornerstone

Blacktop Central is a company with which I have no beef. Curtains were drawn as the driveway crew is quite easy on the eyes. Blacktop Central arrived on the job in a timely fashion. The hard-working team tore out the asphalt driveway in front of my three car garage. They laid down a new base layer and put down asphalt all in one day. Blacktop Central even removed all of the old asphalt. At the end of the day, I had a beautiful new driveway at an affordable price. One year later, my driveway still looks brand new. Hats off to Blacktop Central. They are a five star company in my book

When they came out to give an estimate for sealing and repairing my driveway, they recommended not sealing it, since I had had it done 1 year ago, and I was mostly interested in repairing the cracks. They did this, coming out when expected, and doing a good job, as far as I can tell. Time will tell how well it stands up. The cracks were repaired in the past by another company, and the repairs didn't last a year

I couldn't be more pleased with the process, the price and the result. I got a proposal from John last fall, but we needed to replace a retaining wall first, which was finally done in October (I was satisfied with that vendor and those results too). The weather turned and Monarch couldn't get it done before winter. John promised the bid was good in the spring. Spring was a bit iffy, and I was out of town some in May, so we waited until June 6th. At seven o'clock, John was there to mark it out. At eight o'clock the grading team arrived, with three pieces of equipment, one a standard road grader. At 11 o'clock the paving equipment arrived with a paver and three truckloads of asphalt. I counted as many as 10 workmen there, working like ants, everyone with a task. At one point, a truck (22 tons) got stuck in the driveway, where the equipment used last fall by the retaining wall contractor had loosened the base. Not to worry, they pulled the truck out with the paver, and laid down excess asphalt in that spot to strengthen the base. That required them to bring in more asphalt (the patch area was about a foot thick. By three o'clock the job was done, except for some final rolling. They were punctual, professional, efficient, and friendly to a man

We have used Seal King for sealcoating for the past four years and have been very pleased. We have an old, cracked driveway that requires a yearly sealcoating to keep it looking nice. Their prices are good, they are easy to contact by phone, they are punctual and they do a thorough job. They take their time filling cracks with sealer, they are careful not to get the coating on the plants in our garden and they are careful not to splash the sealcoat on to the garage door
