We initially reached out to Melanie to help with furniture selection, furniture arrangement, and decorating ideas for our living room and family room. Although we are empty-nesters, our house still looked like we had middle-schoolers. At our first visit, Melanie made some recommendations that got us soooo excited. Then she completed the Style Guides. Totally stoked! She talked about paint color, suggested some new furniture pieces, showed how different light fixtures would more accurately reflect our style... Sheet rock whole bathroom, no seams, nice and smooth, the ceiling was looking rough, they smoothed and refurbished ceiling, looked like we replaced the ceiling it looked so good.? Jim build shower pan and tiled shower wall.? I was able to watch whole process from beginning to end of bathroom remodel the bathroom looks totally transformed,? The jobs they did on my previous residence were all done with in my budget and to my specifications. They did an awesome job on my latest remodel at my new house also. They installed my windows and did various other things to remodel my whole upstairs they sub contracted out my wood floors and chose well they are beautiful. They reinstalled my cabinets and put in new countertop and all the work that comes before that like removing trim and cupboards etc. They are great and pleasant to have around I use them for all my projects

We hired The Construction Group Inc. to replace our roof and gutters that were damaged by a hail storm that came through. (The company was referred to us by a friend) We met with the owner Scott who was a joy to work with. Scott spent a great deal of time inspecting our home and even met with the insurance adjuster to make sure nothing was missed. The work was completed about 3 weeks later. His roofing team was very nice, and did a great job cleaning up when they were done. The gutters were replaced a few days later. What a difference it made. Scott recommended a new kind of shingle in a color that I just love! Later in the year, we decided to make some upgrades to the inside of the house in preparation for a move. (Our kitchen and bathrooms still had that 70's look,) Scott came back out this time with his remodeler "Bill" who had some great ideas and was wonderful to work with. Bill and his workers remodeled both of our bathrooms and the kitchen. The work took about 6 weeks in all. They did a great job putting up plastic and keeping the house clean given what they had to do. We love the work they did and wonder why we waited so long to do it. I would certainly hire Scott and his team again

There were complications resulting in major plumbing and electrical upgrades to code due to the age of the home which was built in the 50's.My contractor was able to advise me and supervise all the upgrades to the new building codes.

From beginning to end, Jordan was attentive and diligent to make sure the project was done to our specifications. We were very satisfied with the result of a 3 month remodel project that includes opening up the kitchen to create a “great room” on the main floor of our house. Everyone we interacted with from the initial scoping to the design selection to the actual demolition and construction was professional, personable and responsive. The demo and construction team were very conscientious about the disruption. We felt that Lindus was a partner with us and did not try to upsell or invoke unnecessary change orders. We definitely recommend them to anyone who is thinking abut a major construction project

Crowdsourcing site for interior and architectural design. Interesting service and if you are comfortable with internet shopping and a little risk, IMHO, worth the cost. My project: Redesigning kitchen and family room (great room concept) and we needed interior design/style advise for the project. The site posts a "competition" for the project, you determine what amount of money to offer for the competition (site recommends an amount, but the customer is free to change if needed.) Within 20 days, we had 20 designers signed up for our competition from all over the world. In the end, 8 designers submitted designs. We picked our top 4, rated all designs and the top three were selected based on ratings -- one from France, USA and Serbia. Honorable Mention went to country of Georgia. First, second and third place received a portion of the award money. Pros and Cons: You, the customer, must be comfortable with the risk of paying for something and not knowing if you'll like the result. For me, this was part of the process and an acceptable risk. You don't have a face to face consultation. The site has a "wall" where you can post ideas, photos, communication with the designers or architects. I resolved this by posting my houzz.com design book on the wall to give designers ideas of our likes, dislikes, etc. You can also post requirements and constraints for your project. Toward the end of the competition (a deadline is set when you submit a project) a lot of communication occurs with the architects and designers. Expect it, it's part of the process. The website is fairly rudimentary. Online/chat help is available but is somewhat hit and miss. You can send designs to friends and family to rate. This is helpful in making a decision. Overall, we got a number of ideas between the designers and were very pleased with the process and project

They were really great to work with. They were very careful not to harm the grass with the gutters before installation. They had them raised up of the grass I was very surprised. They made sure the gutters went along with the lines of the house and made sure they extended them out far enough so they wouldn't go down into the basement

They provided a detailed and accurate estimate of the cost as well as a reasonable timeline for the actual construction. R. Tews own employees are terrific. They are precise and take great pride in their work. They are polite, neat, respectful of our time, and inevitably clean up before they leave for the day. They are not happy until we are. In addition, the subcontractors R. Tews uses adhere to the same standards. We could not be happier. We had used them for an earlier, larger project, and after that experience didn't even consider another contractor for this project. We would recommend them without hesitation (and have done so). Some of our friends who had previous remodeling experiences with other contractors had warned us that the remodeling would try our patience and be a generally unpleasant experience. Nothing could be further from the truth with R. Tews. From the planning through the construction to the final walk-through everything went extremely well.
