Zehm Inspections
The work went extremely well and turned out better that expected. We had the stone around the gas fireplace replaced with river rock and also had the fireplace itself replaced. Larry, the project manager, did a fantastic job putting the rock in place, making sure that the stones had the right look. While the job took a little longer than originally anticipated, the wait was well worth it. Both Larry and his assistant Brian also made sure to clean up everyday, especially before a weekend, so that we were not put out. They also did a great job building our new linen closet. There is a long hallway on our second floor, and with Mike's help, decided on taking out a portion to build the closet. It only took a few days, and when it was completed, it actually looked like it should have been there all along. Great job. There were also a couple of other minor projects that the team did a great job completing, including building better quality steps in the garage, fixing a couple of doors that were not closing properly, and completing a caulking job left over from the previous owners. All executed extremely well

They are very good. They showed up when they said they would. They called to let us know that they were on the way. They delivered what they said they would. They even did a follow up call to see if we had any issues and they let us know about their warranty information if we had any furnace trouble. Their prices was pretty comparable to other stuff we've had done. They were a little more expensive but they were a little more thorough. We would absolutely use them again

Terrible workmanship. Do not hire Steve or Best Fireplaces and Stoves. Steve agreed that the work they performed was sub-standard and that he would fix it. However, it has been over a year since that promise and nothing has been accomplished. I'm stuck with a pile of brick in my garage and a lousy, sloppy looking fireplace

Our experience was positive from start to finish. My husband and I could not agree on the style or location of the fireplace in our family room. Wayne came out to give us an estimate and was able to provide ideas that we had not even thought of. His advice and expertise helped us come up with a design both of us were happy with. Tom and Taylor came to install the fireplace, stone the surround and the mantle and cabinets. They did a beautiful job! All 3 (Wayne, Tom and Taylor) were able to provide detailed explanations for our many questions and are very knowledgable about the products they use. They were all punctual, professional and cleaned up their mess on their way out! We were able to just sit back and enjoy our new fireplace. We would definitely recommend The Fireplace Guys to our family and friends

After a fireplace check by another local contractor, we were told we would need to purchase a new fireplace, now 10 years later at the cost of $4000. I went to North Country since we had great experience in our green egg purchase. At the showroom at North Country, Greg encouraged me to try their fireplace inspection service. Yes there was a wait, but he believed it would be worth our time. A month later these 2 young men came and literally overhauled our fireplace, and it is indeed like new, fully functioning. They were professional, conscious about any mess they may make (drop cloth and outside work) and were delightful to teach us more about our unit . We now have virtually a new fireplace. Yes this was the most pleasant visit from a local contractor in a long time. Do call them and do wait as it is very worth your dollar
