Where do I start? I going to ramble since I had a busy work day. It was a long, long day. We were sweep cleaning the house and removing stuff that the crew missed. By the time we were finished, it was 11 hours from when we left home and when we got back. We meet with the crew from 1-800-I got junk last week. Showed them what needed to be removed. They needed at least 4 trucks and 6 people to remove the stuff. They told me it was a big job. At the end, they filled 5 and 3/8 trucks. The final total cost was $3,836.30. I authorized for them to show up at 8 am to start removing the junk in the garage. They knew it would take many hours. I told them we would meet them at 10 am. Well, we got to SO at 9:30 am and no one was at 108. They did not show up until 11:15 am. We were p*****. A week before, we emphasized that the cast iron oil tank must be removed. Tony told them they needed a welder to break the piece into parts in order to remove it. Tony kept pushing they to remove the cast iron tank. I saw the tank was moved two inches. The crew used an axe and sledge hammer to the tank and it only bounced off it. They didn't want to remove a big heavy work bench and a big awning frame that dad kept. Tony pushed again for removal. We were told they do not subcontract jobs to remove the tank. I read on their truck they do demolition. What the h***. I talked to the realtor to reimbursed the buyer for the cost to removed the tank. I have not idea what the cost is. Two guys started, one hour later, two more guys showed up. Two hours later, two more guys showed up. The crew told me they were not busy at 8 pm and did little jobs before they showed up at 108. They completed the job at 5:30 pm. There was not way we could have done the job by ourselves. I was told we would get 5% off since they could not remove the cast iron tank. I also had the 5% discount coupon from Angie's list. The manager would not give us 10% discount. I was p***** but too exhausted to negotiate and complain. The manager for this area is worthless. You should send a complaint to the CEO of 1-800-I got junk and to Angie's list. The crew were really great but the manager was terrible. FYI: I was told it is quite unusual to fill a truck full of metal. I overheard the crew complaining why they don't get a recycle fee and only the company gets it. So, the additional 5% should not have been a big deal.
