I am a worry wart about radon due to my mom dying of lung cancer (which we believe was caused by radon). I have a radon mitigation system in place in the basement, but had used a mail-order radon detection kit just to re-test things. It came up high, so I called Radon Be Gone. They put a 24-hour professional-grade radon detection device in our basement and recorded the levels. (They came up low, thankfully). They inspected my radon mitigation system, explained how it worked, and, at my request, quoted me prices for upgrading the system in place. Radon Be Gone was helpful, not pushy and pleasant to work with.

I called several radon mitigation companies after finding high radon levels in my basement. Radon Be Gone gave me the lowest quote and gave me firm price over the phone. They accommodated my schedule, showed up on time, and worked out a good routing for the mitigation pipe with me. They worked in bitter cold to get the job done and I was very pleased with the craftsmanship and professionalism. Subsequent testing showed the radon levels had been lowered to 0.7 (previous testing prior to the mitigation system had shown 6.8). I would use them again.

I think they were great. They had the lowest price that I could find. They were here approximately a year ago and I haven't used them since. I'm not sure of the cost of the services.

I thought they were installing the round PVC pipe, instead installed gutter pipe which is louder. But now we are used to the noise it is not as bothersome.

This was fabulous! I had Bassett Home Solutions come and do a Home Inspection and Radon Test and I was really happy with the service. He showed up when he said he would and was very friendly. I felt like he gave very thorough and knowledgeable service, and advice. The radon test turned out with low numbers, which is great, but it's nice having that confirmation that we don't need to worry. I was also super happy that he services all over, and could come to our house in Springville. I would highly recommend Bassett Home Solutions to anyone else!!

The guys were prompt, good at responding to my initial call. Their outside "box" and system isn't as ugly as others I've seen. The guys were clean and respectful in our home. Our house wasn't set up in the right way to vent through the attic like I thought it would, and I'm still not convinced we couldn't have figured out an invisible place to put this thing. I mentioned my concerns to john, told him the system was louder than I thought it would be. He assured me that his guys tried every thing they could to put it in a less ugly place. My last contact with him was a request he could come by and tell me if it was really too loud. I was busy when he wanted to come by, then he never got back to me. So I live with the noise. No biggie I guess. At the end of the installation, they didnt have any electronic testers and left us with the chintzy mail in kind. the next day they located the "good" kind and came back with that. the numbers were down, so that was good, and i was glad i didnt have to wait weeks for the results. Overall, it was fine. I paid less than I thought I would have to for this whole radon mitigation thing, so the family is safe from radiation, and that's the goal.

We bought a continuous radon monitor and finding our basement bedroom levels between 6-7, we called them for a bid on a mitigation system. They came and inspected and gave us a bid the same day we emailed requesting one. They scheduled the mitigation the next week and finished up both levels in one day. They were very friendly and worked quickly. Couldn't be happier with the work or the speedy response and service. Our radon monitor now shows levels between 0.2-0.5. YAY!

A test kit was dropped off by John with instructions on how to use and then mail to the testing lab. We received a safe count (thank heaven) so we did not have to have John do any radon level correction, but I would have had Radon Be Gone Inc do the work had I needed it.

I thought that of all the bids that we got, they were the most reasonable. They were professional and I thought they did a good job. They did everything they told us they would do and also did a guarantee that they could decrease the level of radon in our home, which not a lot of other people would do.

I've been calling around to get bids on radon mitigation. I ran into the rep from Superior at Costco and asked them if they worked with radon and he said that they did, however, they will try to charge you $175 to come do a radon test before they will even give you a bid. They say that this $175 can be applied toward the cost of mitigation, but who wants to invest $175 with a company before you even know what their price is going to be? I told them I wasn't comfortable with that and they agreed to come give me a bid first for free, even though that's not their policy. The bid they gave me was for $2200 for a basic radon mitigation system. The other bids I've gotten so far have come back $700-$925 less. It seems that every time I bid out Superior Water they come back significantly higher than their competition. I kind of get the feeling that they're just hoping you don't get any other bids. Also, it turns out they aren't even actually certified by the NRPP to do radon mitigation.

Recent Review: I have had Jim at Wasatch Home Inspections do three separate home inspections for me. He is extremely thorough. On one occasion he found a buried oil tank that the home seller had tried to hide. He is very good at finding all of the potential issues that a home may have. Every time he did an inspection he arrived on time and spent 6+ hours going over the property. He takes very good notes and pictures that he delivers after the inspection in a report. He is extremely professional and gave me the peace of mind when purchasing a home. Highly recommended.

Recent Review: I gave Cory a call - he got back to me was a great guy, very personable on the phone and i just ended up liking him and decided to go with them. I was buying a house out of state so i wasn't able to be there for the inspection but he sent me all kinds of photos etc... to show me what was going on with the house. He gave me great recommendations on what i needed to have the sellers look at (they fixed everything we requested) Really great experience overall and I'm happy with the price I paid. I do need to mention that the $465 we paid included both the home inspection and the radon testing so if you just need a home inspection you can take over $100 off that price. it was either 150 or 100 for the radon, i can't remember. But most everybody in utah is going to need that radon testing.

Recent Review: April 2013 radon tests in basement were above 12 pCi/L. Called Radon Be Gone and contracted with them for the above work. They were professional, prompt, and explained what they were doing and taught us about radon and its hazards. Work was performed as bid and installation went smoothly. Subsequent radon tests results (late May 2013) were 1.5 and 2.0 pCi/L--as promised by Radon Be Gone. We are happy campers!

Recent Review: Barry was absolutely wonderful. I was buying a house while my husband was deployed and Barry was punctual, SO thorough and explained everything to me. He even helped me write the list to the sellers to ensure I used the correct verbiage. I appreciated his help so much. I would recommend Barry to any and everyone. His price was average and totally worth it. I even used to a second time when the first house didn't work out and I would use him again!

Recent Review: The two employees that came were clean cut and professional looking. They both wore company uniforms. They put down carpet runners right when they got there. They didn't leave any mess and were done in about 4 hours. The system looks great - at least the part of it I can see. They explained how to tell if the system is working correctly. They left a test to verify the radon is gone and it came back with really low levels. AAA++++ company. I have already recommended them to 2 of my neighbors.

Recent Review: Dave was very professional and skilled. We had three companies come out to give estimates and Hometek had the middle bid. However, we had a finished basement with a very tight and cramped furnace room that the other two companies stated they could not install a mitigation system (they wanted to cut holes in our finished walls and ceilings). Dave seemed much more experienced and was able to get the system installed and made it look good too. He was able to reduce our radon level from 12 to 1! I have referred a few other people to him and would not hesitate to call him again.

Recent Review: As first time home buyers and we had no idea about home ownership, home maintenance and what problems can be potentially dangerous or expensive to fix. We chose Cody as our inspector based on the reviews on angie's list and we are extremely happy with our decision. Cody is very professional and thorough inspector, who spends good amount of his time inspecting major aspects like roof, exterior, foundation, water damage issues etc. We had cody inspect 3 houses so far and he was right on about some of the issues, which could've cost us potentially thousands of dollars in surprise repairs in future. Home buying is a steep learning curve and we are happy to have cody as our inspector in this learning process. He is very patient, listens to our concerns and gives an overall perspective about various aspects of home ownership/maintenance. Weeks after we moved into our new home, we had some questions and concerns. Cody promptly answered and returned our calls with reasonable responses. Finally, any and all issues are fixable, but there is only so much new home buyers can afford to fix. We highly recommend Cody and have recommended him to our friends. Jennifer is also prompt and helpful in scheduling appointments and thorough in explaining different kind of inspections.

Recent Review: Bill Cushing did an excellent job. He was punctual, professional and thorough. My original appointment was for earlier in the day. Due to conflicts the inspection was moved to later in the afternoon. His wife, Brooke, called and explained the situation and we had no problems rescheduling. Brooke is a pleasant person who keeps you informed and is a joy to work with. On the day of the inspection I asked for a radon test to be added to the inspection and Bill accommodated me on the spot! The billing was included right with the final report, which included pictures and well defined, easy to read reports. The report was delivered to me via email in a timely fashion. The cost of the inspection was very reasonable and I feel I received an excellent report for the money! I was very pleased with this company and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reliable and trustworthy home inspector!
