From the first day Jeff Holt was very professional and spent the time necessary to understand the existing windows and trim/mouldings. He presented a fair proposal for the work and brought in a representative from the window company to explain their products. He then measured each window and inspected the exterior and interior trim/mouldings. Once the windows arrived his crew was on time daily to start work, performed their jobs in a professional manner ensuring the protection of the house's new hardwood floors. They cleaned up each day and worked in such a manner to ensure the house was comfortable for my family. All work was started and completed on time with Jeff Holt personally inspecting the work several times each week. A high level of attention to detail was shown by all the crew members. The painting, electrical and insulation jobs were conducted in the same manner - with Jeff Holt presenting a proposal and with his crew performing at a high level. The work spanned most of the winter months so we became very familiar with the crew and their work ethics. They always had our comfort in mind since we continued to live in the house while the work was being done and ensured that the house was clean at the end of each work day. Shane Holt managed the daily work crews and advised us on the work each day. We never had to question how the work was being done or why. Shane made sure we were kept up to date. Given the high level of work performed by Holt General Contracting I would not hesitate to recommend them. They will be returning to renovate my kitchen and bathrooms in the near future.

I contacted Holt Contracting to see if they could provide much needed insulation for my house. They never responded. It was an absolute waste of time waiting for a response which never came. Angie's list should not include such as Holt Contracting.

Copar Construction
CoPar also installed a Pela door and storm door at our house. They measured correctly, they were right on schedule with installation date and finish. The door is snug and fits, including the screen/storm door. As the weather changed and minor adjustments were necessary they were right there to take care of any minor issues. Very happy and satisfied with their work.

Martin and his assistant, Barry, worked diligently every time they worked on a job. They cleaned up after themselves, were very organized, and detail oriented. Everything was done to my satisfaction.

He showed up and started the job , he did the tree triming and removed the branches, He prepaired the deck and porch, and rebuilt the stair railing. He started some of the primeing. Total cost of the job was to be $1096.00 I was to provide all the materials for the painting and repair work. Mr Steppe was to provide the window paynes to be replaced and he was to provide all the labor. Mr. Steppe took a $561.00 down payment . He started the job on 8/27 came back on 9/2 left at noon and never returned. He had done only part of the job. I tried numerous times to call him and he did not return my calls or answer my voice messages. I feel I was cheated and I am considering leagal action.

Recent Review: The siding crew showed up exactly on time and completed the job in just two and a half days. The yard was spotless after they left. We didn't find even a single nail or scrap of old siding. The siding is absolutely beautiful and completely changes the look of the house. The first greenhouse window they ordered for us was damaged in transit and had to be remade. Tom, our project manager kept in touch with us and kept us informed through the entire process. The window was remade and installed along with the basement window about two weeks after the siding was done. The window crew showed up on time and did excellent work. They left everything neat and clean and the greenhouse window is gorgeous! At the end of the project I found myself wishing that I could hire to do something else...maybe a sun room someday! Nu-Look is a company that I would like to do business with again.
Recent Review: I purchased a large amount of blinds from Blinds Galore, to redecorate my home. The selection of blinds was great; the price was best around (particularly during oft-repeated manufacturer discounts). And it was easy to order, since the Blinds Galore representative was very knowledgeable, and patient through various re-work of the order. Finally, Blinds Galore was accommodating beyond expectation, for correcting mistakes that I had made in the order, not realized until after the order was delivered.
Recent Review: I liked the window treatments but had problem with the largest one. I contacted customer service and they sent out a new one right away--no questions asked. They stand behind their products. I will shop from them in the future.
Recent Review: They had two guys blow in insulation in my attic. They did a great job. They even cleaned up after they were done.
Recent Review: The first unit was delivered in a timely manner. However, the carrier did not adhere to the shippers warnings about product fragility and the unit was received in a damaged state. The unit was sent back to Classic Copperworks for repair. The repair was treated as a priority by Mr. Threadgill, who had the unit shipped back to me in three weeks. It arrived in good condition that time. Mr Threadgill was very helpful in providing support in order to finish our project. He even had a caulking product sent to us in order to help with flashing the unit. That meant alot. I am not a professional contractor, but was able to install the unit myself with his support. However, my profession does provide me the opportunity to serve the public and as such, I feel that I am more than qualified in commenting on good service. While Classic Copperworks may not be the cheapest provider of goods and services, they stand behind their product and provide great support. It requiress a "leap of faith" to order an expensive unit from an out-of-state provider with no prior mutual history, but I can attest to my complete satisfaction. WRS

Recent Review: I initially contacted the company last year in September/October about icicles forming on part of the roofline of our home. Being over 60 years old, I also wanted to get a quote on the LeafGuard product, particularly for the second story gutters as I'm not too thrilled about cleaning them out up at that height. The salesman who came out identified the icicle issue as being caused by inadequate insulation in the crawlspace of that part of the home. He also looked at the other part of attic where we had had foam insulation blown in a number of years ago. He said that it had been very poorly done and should be selectively re-applied to give a better overall insulation to the home. He took extensive measurements on both the insulation job and the gutters. He said he'd be back in touch with a quote "very soon". "Very soon" stretched into three weeks with no word, so I called and asked him what was with the delay. He said he would be hand delivering the estimate by week's end. Well...that didn't happen either. After another two weeks I sent him an email and left word by phone that I wanted the quote. I never heard from the guy. I was going to blow the company off and write a bad review on Angie's List, but thought that it may just be the salesman, not the company. So I drove the 25 miles to their business and asked to speak to the owner. He was very apologetic for the situation and said he would have a different salesman call me within the day. And before I got back to my home, Jim Moran was calling to see when he could come out to look at the job. Jim was out the following day as I recall, and had to totally remeasure the jobs so that he could quote it. The quote was in my hands by the end of the day! Now this was more like it. The price for the services was a bit of a shocker, but I was now getting good service. The crews who did both of the jobs were very professional. They arrived as scheduled. They were pleasant, worked quickly, with great care not to cause damage to the property or leaving behind any mess. The day after the gutters were installed we got a real cloudburst that delivered about 2" of rain in a very short period of time. The gutters were working extremely well except in one area. I took a brief video of the gutter overflowing and sent it to my saleman. The next day the installers were back out and re-engineered that area to solve the issue (or at least I think it is...I'll have to wait for another downpour to find out). I could not be more pleased with both of the jobs that Bauer Specialty completed for us.
