!The 55 foot sump drain pipe to the outfall was partially plugged with roots. Jason (of Roto-Rooter / Falconer) arrived on time and immediately set to work. Within 30 minutes he had cleaned out a large section of roots (from 4 inch ceramic pipe) and then completed going through the drain pipe to the outfall. He ran the cutter again through the pipe and once the line was clear, he flushed the drain pipe with water from the basement sump. He cleaned up the area around the work site, and was in his truck and leaving within 2 hours. Definitely would hire this kind of work from them again - hopefully won't be needed!!

He came 40 minutes late, didn't know what the call was about, and his 30-year old snake broke off in my drain.

He came 40 minutes late, didn't know why he was here, and his 30-year-old snake broke off in my pipes. He pulled out some roots and left telling me things would work. They did not.

It is amazing how quickly the water that leaks into my basement continually and runs into the drain now doesn't back up. Even when the washing machine hose fell out of the sink and spewed soapy water onto the floor, it all ran down the drain. Before this, the water would have gone everywhere. Now it just disappears! These guys arrived on time, got right to work, cleaned up after themselves and were gone in less than an hour. I called them Thursday and they were able to give me the first appointment the very next day. Yay for Roto-Rooter!

Soon our sink was draining well. I appreciated that the plumber who showed up was very careful not to soil our rugs or anything else. Very courteous and professional at all levels. I will definitely call on them again in the future if the need arises.

When contacted, he said he had to finish a job and would be over that afternoon to take a look to see what we needed to have done. He came over and said that he would be back the next day to replaced the tank which he did and found he had to replace some of the pipe fittings above the tank as they were old.  He had everything done within 3 days. We have plans on using him again for more plumbing issues.

The service was performed quickly and efficiently. However it took 5 cancelled appointments to get the determination that I needed the trap installed. I would have gone with another company but Jim apologized every time I called him about missed appointments and he seemed sincere. When he finally did get here to scope the drain, he assured us it was an easy fix and that somebody would be here on Monday. He knew before he came and when he was blowing us off that we were leaving town the following Friday. His delays set back flooring work by a full week. Monday arrived and a different guy and his helper arrived on time. They got right to work and were done in 45 minutes. He went out to prepare the bill, brought it in, and handed it to me -- $306 for a 45 minute job!!! I was shocked and more than a little freaked out. I immediately asked why it was so high for a forty-five minute job and what was the hourly rate? He responded by saying that there was "2 hours drive time". I asked where he drove from, he said Jamestown. (Jamestown is a 35 minute drive at best) I informed him that I called a Fredonia number and expected a Fredonia plumber and was never informed that I had to pay "drive time" and I certainly wasn't paying for two hours. I asked to talk to his boss. He said his boss was Jim, the same guy that blew us off for 5 days on scoping the drain. I called the number for Jim, no answer. I called the same Fredonia number I had called to arrange the original appt. I explained the situation. The woman on the phone said Jim would call me back. He did, and when I pressed him about why the charge was so high, he said it was not an hourly job, it was their standard flat rate charge. I told him his employee had stated I was paying for two hours drive time. Jim said that is not true, that I was being charged a standard flat rate for the job. I asked to see proof in print this was the standard pricing. He said he couldn't do that. I asked why a job less than hour should be over $300? No response. I stated I wasn't paying that much and they should take the trap out and leave. There was some more back and forth and he agreed to reduce the charge to about $150 - or more than $75 per hour, per guy. I agreed to pay that amount but I am not happy about it. I feel I should have been told about this flat rate pricing prior to the job. My bad for not getting a written estimate - but their bad for not explaining the charges before starting the work. Because he said it was an easy fix i assumed it would be a small charge. Even if this is their standard charge, I feel it is extremely over priced. Also, there is not list of charges on there website, flat rate or hourly.

They didn't fix my problem and they charged a lot of money. I wouldn't go back to them. I have a drain in my basement that supposedly a year prior they had cleaned out and said it was good. I had them come back and they charged me $400 and told me it couldn't be done because there was too much stone and sediment down there. I paid them for getting nothing done. Maybe they've done right by other people, but I don't have a lot of money to spend and then not having anything done. They were responsive, they came when I called them.

Recent Review: They were incredibly prompt, professional, and informative. I figure we had called other plumbers in the past and they had charged me over $200 for the same type of service.
