They are a family owned company that is close by. They are always very friendly and helpful. They installed a new liner for us recently and everything went well. They are very competitive in pricing.

The new liner fits perfectly and is beautiful. The pump and filter system transformed our pool. Previously it was difficult to maintain clean clear water. Now, the water is sparklean, and it is easy to maintain.

John Black Construction
3.0
In March, I used an on-line referral service to find a company to replace the liner in our inground swimming pool. John Black was the first to respond and made an appointment to come out that day to give an estimate. He was personable and knowledgeable and gave a fair price. He answered my questions, and seemed like he was the ideal person for the job. I did interview 2 other contractors who gave similar estimates, but Mr Black was local, and was willing to cover the light opening in the pool, where other contractors would not, so we decided to hire Mr Black for the job. About a week later he came to measure the pool. He again was very thorough, which we expected from someone with as many years experience has he has. We paid more than half of the cost of the job as down payment and Mr Black said he would order the liner and it would be in his possession within a week. At that point, it was early April and we were in no hurry, understanding the weather was rainy and still cold and we had no plans to have the pool opened before May. We didn't hear anything from Mr Black for over a week and then he showed up, unannounced one Sunday at dinnertime, stating he "forgot" to take a measurement for the liner and needed to get that. He said that he would phone it in the next day and the liner would be in by that Friday, which was the beginnng of the Easter weekend, so we really didn't expect him to come then for the install. He had also made it clear he had other customers ahead of us and he would do their pools first, as the weather permitted. We waited weeks when I finally called on April 26 to ask what was going on and when he would be coming out. His wife said he was going to come out Saturday April 23, but it rained. However, we had not heard from him to set up that appointment for the 23rd, so whether it was true or not, I have no way of knowing. During the call on April 26, we set up an appointment for May 4 for the install. I called to confirm on May 3 and was told that because of the weather, he would come on May 7. He called on May 6 around 9:15 pm to say he would be arriving before 10am on Saturday morning. On May 7, Mr Black and another man arrived and began the job. The new liner was installed and water was filling the pool by 1:30 in the afternoon. At that point, I was pleased with the work and looked forward to the completion on Monday, as Mr Black stated the job would be done at that time, when the pool was filled. He collected his final payment the day of the install and was on his way, saying "see you Monday". Monday, May 9 came and went and Mr Black did not arrive to complete the job. He called at 8:30 pm Monday night to say that he did not have the skimmer trim and would get one Tuesday and be right out to finish up. Tuesday came and went and at 6:30 that evening, when he still had not arrived, I called and left a message asking when he planned on coming. He returned my call at 8:30 pm and said he had the part and would be out on Wednesday. At that point, I told him if the job was not complete by the time I was home from work on Wednesday, we would be locking the gate to the yard and stopping payment on his final bill until the job was complete. He did arrive on Wednesday and the job was completed. Overall, the experience was okay if you don't mind waiting and a lack of communication. As for myself, I would not recommend him to my family or friends based on his lack of communication and how long we had to wait to ultimately have the job completed.

Tru blue pool service
1.0
I do not and will not recommend Tru-Blue Pool Services. A deposit was paid, and services were not performed within the agreed time frame. Owner Bryan takes on more work than he can handle. He gladly accepts your deposit, schedules you, never reaches out to his customers, and does not keep scheduled appointments that he agreed upon. He is unprofessional and lacks business ethic. Bryan should have never accepted our project, if he wasn't able to comply with the agreed time frame he set with us. This is our story with Bryan the owner of Tru-Blue Pool services Our first initial contact on April 28th, Bryan showed up within a half hour of receiving our email through Angie's List. The following day, through text message my husband and I agreed on his estimate and choose our liner. On May 3rd I texted Bryan for an available date in which he replied the earliest he could was the week of memorial week. So we venmo our deposit of $550.00 to him and asked for an email copy of the estimate to be sent, but this was never received. On May 11th I contact Bryan again for an actual date, since both my husband and I returned to work, and we wanted to arrange so that one of us could be there, he told he me would let me know as soon as he could. I heard nothing from him until I reached out again on May 19th, and asked again for a actual date. His reply was near the end of next. Week went by and still heard nothing from him. Again I contacted him on May 27th asking if was still coming out to replace the pool liner, he than said that he was behind, and we we pushed back until Monday or Tuesday of the upcoming week ( June 1 / June 2). On Friday May 29th I texted him asking which date he would be out and was given the response that he would let me know later when he returned home. On Sunday morning I texted him that I haven't heard from him and I needed to know if he was coming out, and I asked if we were pushed back another week to refund my full deposit. His text back to me was that he would give my deposit back and that he was one person and we would be charged a restocking fee. I asked what the restocking fee was, and he said he would let me know when he called his supplier the next day. (remind you, there was no information giving in the beginning about a restocking fee, and how can you charge your customer a restocking fee YOUR BUSINESS is unable to comply with the scheduled appointment) I sent another text expressing that it was unfair to charge us a restock fee as this was not our fault. I have contacted him several times about an actual date for service in which he has not provided. We understood that there are unforeseen circumstance that could arise and had he contacted us we would have been a little more understanding. I did mention in my text that if my full deposit was not refunded that I would be in contact with my lawyer and speaking to the better business bureau I will just say that his reply and threats were very unprofessional, rude and arrogant.

Liner Kings
5.0
We had to purchase a new liner for our 24ft x 48in round above ground pool.On Wed 6/27/12 we purchased the liner from our pool store. They also gave us a list of liner installers and recomended Liner Kings. So we gave Liner Kings a call and left a msg. A few min later we got a call from Don at Liner King. We gave him the info on our pool and he gave us a base price of $325 and said he could install the liner on the 28th or 29th. We also wanted foam installed.Don told us we would need the foam, spray glue, skimmer and inlet gaskets. We settled on 6/29 between 7:30am - 8:30am.Don and his helper showed up at 8:15am and got started taking off the cap that runs around the top of the pool and cutting out the old liner. It was then I found out I was responseable for cleaning up and disposal. They cut a new inlet and patched the old one. They then lifted the stairs from the pool to the deck, installed the new liner and started to fill it. Don told me I needed to wait to put the stairs back until the pool was at least 1/2 full.He charged $40 to cut and patch the inlet. Total $365

American Pool Concepts LLC
5.0
So we found American Pool Concepts LLC here on AL and we had a consultation that went very well and the price was wonderful! We had asked to try to get the job complete so the pool would be open by Memorial Day. Patrick McNeil took the time to listen to all of my concerns and expectations particular to our specific job. We have poor drainage and that had caused problems in the past for us. He was able to give us expert advice not only about the liner but about our drainage problems as well. I think I got more practical advice on this first visit with Patrick than I had received in 8 years with two different pool service companies. So we were comfortable moving forward and ordered our liner and an approximate date was set for installation. The initial date had to be amended due to weather and our drainage issues but as soon as the weather broke the installation was completed. It was finished in one day as promised. The responsiveness of Patrick was unparalleled, once the pool was filled and we tried to turn on the pump, it did not work, it was old like our liner so now it needed to be replaced. We texted Patrick anytime we had a question and he responded almost immediately to every text. He got us a new and more powerful pump which I can now report has made a huge difference in keeping the pool much cleaner as the skimmers work so much better! As promised our pool was ready and enjoyed thoroughly Memorial Day weekend! I am so glad we found American Pool Conepts LLC! Thanks To Patrick and his team for a job very well done. if you need a liner replaced or any pool work done I highly recommend American Pool Concepts! We got a great price, quality work, exactly what was promised, tons of advice and perhaps most importantly responsiveness that is rare today! He went above and beyond and when we needed that new pump we did not have to wait-he got it done pronto! We have decided to use American Pool Cocepts LLC for all of our pool needs moving forward.

They were excellent. They did good work and they were very helpful, good advisers. They in fact saved me money by advising me to get a less expensive but equally effective cover. I have enrolled them to come yearly to open and close the pool.

Every thing went extremely well from beginning to end. I could not be more pleased, wish every job went this smoothly. We were offered a good selection of patterns, colors ,thickness, etc. The pool looks brand new, and the work was completed in less than one day. I would not hesitate to use Isaac for any of the other services he offers.

Culver Pool Service LLC
5.0
I called many pool services found on Angie's list, but none would replace the liner for an ABOVE ground pool... We tried to do it ourselves for years by ordering from a mail order catalog, but couldn't understand why (with accurate measuring) they'd never really fit our track and took a tremendous amount of pulling and stretching to get up. Each of the 2 liners cost several hundred dollars and wound up ripping during the summer season, so we decided enough money wasted and to invest in a professional. John Culver of Culver Pool Service came out within days of when we spoke; gave us an estimate; and once we agreed ordered our liner. He informed us that we had good measurements, but needed a specific brand of liner to fit our manufacturer. Our pool also needed additional sand and reshaping of the pool's floor... While replacing the liner John found an area that had to be cemented where the pool's frame had rotted and become distorted. The extra services cost a little more, but were necessary to extend the life of the pool and avoid future expenses from our DIY attempts... A team of three, including John and his son did all the work in less than 2 full days. He even diagnosed problems we were having with our pool pump and filter and ordered the parts and did the repair... The overall transaction was done timely; we were given reasonable prices upfront; and realized we took the right road and left all repairs to the professionals.

Recent Review: They built my pool 30 years ago and I have used them ever since. I purchase chemicals from them and they open and close my pool every year. They have always given me wonderful service. They are polite, knowledgeable, professional and my pool looks great and is built like a rock after all this time.

Recent Review: This is early October and most all pool services are swamped wit closings. Franky, they were the only company who agreed to show up. When they arrived and look at the pool, the estimate was quite a bit more than the ballpark on the phone but it WAS a custom liner and the season was getting late. Lew was very honest about the quality of materials and did not try to up-sell. I paid half up front (which was probably the cost of the liner.) A week later he showed up with a partner to do the work, Within three hours, they were ready for water to be added. After a second load they trimmed the details (skimmer and returns) and they were gone. A few days later, there are no leaks and the pool looks AMAZING. In the pool biz, honest, competent and available usually means picking two. I can recommend Swim Time wholeheartedly.

Recent Review: Arrow was very responsive when we first contacted them and sent someone out a week later, which is pretty fast during the summer. The guy who came out seemed very knowledgeable and had a plan for the work needing to be done. He came out on a Friday and said that we would have an estimate that Monday. By Tuesday afternoon, I called Arrow to ask about the estimate and was told that they didn't have any record of one and would need to get in touch with the guy who came out. By the end of the week, I still hadn't heard anything. I called them the following week and was told that they had someone in their office "quit and move away" and that I would have my estimate in a half hour. A few hours later, I still didn't have an estimate and called back once again. I was then told verbally the price for one piece of the work and nothing else. There was no offer to send the missing estimate and when I asked about the rest of the work that needed to be done, the woman replied that she didn't have that information. I asked her if I could speak directly to the guy who came out and she said she'd have him call me. Two weeks later, they still haven't called and I still don't have an estimate for the work. I suppose maybe it's just their office staff that is horrible, but since they're the only way to get in touch with the crew, it makes working with them impossible,
