Pequea Sheds and Gazebos was one of four contractors were contacted to remove and replace the aging roof on our otherwise fine gazebo. The old roof had never been power washed, and had moss growing on it. At Pequea’s request I sent them an email with a few photos showing the existing roof and underneath support structure, which they used to quote the job. We agreed, and a two man crew arrived as scheduled. They set up their equipment (ladders, air compressor and staged shingles), and removed and cleaned up the old cedar shakes. They put the old shakes in a small dumpster which they brought with them, towed behind their truck. They then installed the new shakes with a pneumatic staple gun, using tar paper where needed. The crew aligned the rows of shakes perfectly, using a simple jig, or guide, that they had made for gazebo roofs. Our new roof looks great, and we’re very pleased with the results.
