Reviews in Drexel Hill to Remove Fuel Tank

Narberth Plumbing
5.0
I have been using Narberth Plumbing for about six years now. They were recommended to me initially by a friend. Joe Carr, the owner is extraordinarily responsive when I call, and my problems usually occur on Sunday for some reason, and Joe calls me first thing Monday morning. Sometimes he comes out and sometimes it is Vince. They are both lovely, honest people who are down to earth and personable. Like family. This particular visit was an relatively easy one in that toilet seals needed to be replaced. I noticed that the floor in my bathroom was wet. The diagnosis was fairly obvious. The fee was fair for a couple of hours work. Both gentleman let you know when they will arrive, and call if they are late. Other jobs have included replacing kitchen sink incinerators and faucets, installing washing machine shut off valves, putting in a hot water heater, installing new bathtub faucets. Nothing is particularly inexpensive, but then again, no plumbers seem to be inexpensive. The bottom line is that I believe in their integrity and professionalism.

He came in well under the price he quoted. He also took away the old tank. No mess, no fuss. Kept me informed at every step of his work No bother, very instructional. Professional, courteous. Tim took care of the problem and also kept us in heat for the duration of the work. He found great reasonably priced replacement tank. Did all the paperwork and also handled permits. He knew a lot about the permit red tape and handled it all himself. He and his helper Daniel took care of the problem. Just can't say enough about how happy we are with his work.

Meenan

I had Meenan come in for a separate service call and the technician noticed that the oil tank was leaking slightly. I was in the process of selling my home and had two home inspections done. Neither indicated a problem with the oil tank so I am a little suspicious of the technician, especially since no mention was made about having an independent inspection of the oil tank done. However, I was trying to sell my home and decided it would be a good effort to have the tank replaced anyway. The tank was over 53 years old and certainly was not in the best state. Meenan does not do oil tank replacements themselves, instead they hire a subcontractor (Superior Tank & Energy). The service personnel arrived on-time and made fast work of the removal of the oil tank. No oil was spilled and no damage was done to my house. By mid-afternoon, they were done. The area was cleaned up and all piping in the basement was painted. The personnel were friendly and answered the several questions I had without appearing irritated. I was very happy with Superior Tank & Energy's work. I can't really rate the cost as I didn't get other estimates due to the time constraints imposed with selling my home. The bottom line: I wouldn't hesitate to contact Meenan for this work in the future but I would have liked to get some other estimates. I also would have liked to get an independent analysis of the oil tank to see if a replacement oil tank was actually needed. However, I suspect that even if the oil tank was ok, being that the oil tank was over 53 years old, it was due to be replaced soon and I rather replace the oil tank before a leak than have to worry about cleaning up an oil spill.

I contracted Tim and his team to remove an old oil tank. It took me quite awhile to find a reliable contractor to remove my old oil tank. Tim and team were absolutely professional, they were very efficient and knew exactly what needed to be done. They removed the residual oil and sludge left in the tank after it had been emptied, then of course, they removed the tank from the basement . Very professional, neat, and clean while doing a difficult and dirty job. I was so happy with the work done by Tim,I recommended him to a friend who does heating and a/c installation work, and has trouble finding a reliable contractor to remove the old tanks.

Perfect. The guy got our heat back in no time. He even picked up a problem with the oil tank which was not on the docket for that day.

Mr. Spillane of PA Tank Removal returned my call; we discussed the project and setting, cost, scheduling, licenses/insurance. Mr. Spillane promptly provided a written estimate and had his agent provide proof of insurance. I then retained him. The evening before the scheduled date, Mr. Splllane called to confirm for the next day. On the day of the job, Mr. Spillane was delayed about 15 minutes with an emergency but called to let me know; then, he and his crew arrived, emptied the tank of oil, dismantled the tank so he would not have to take it through the house, plugged all openings, and left the area in good condition. They did not spill anything. As I happen to be curious about how things are done, Mr. Spillane explained the project to me as it was being done. It was indeed a pleasure to hire Pa Tank Removal for the job. The job went smoothly and quickly. Thanks.

He was very good. We wanted to get rid of the tank quickly so he came on a Sunday. It took longer than usual because of access issues, but he didn't try to charge more. He was even willing to give us a credit for the oil in the tank even though it was less than 50 gallons (his add stipulates that he only pays if there is more than 50 gallons).

My wife and I could not be happier with the service Tim provided! It is great to finally have the old oil tank out of the basement and to be able to recover that wasted space. Tim and his partner had the tank out in just a couple hours and patched up the concrete and holes. They were very friendly and professional, and I honestly do not think you can find a better value for this service. I would definitely recommend Tim Gorman, you will not be disappointed!

Recent Review: Okay. Wasn't expecting needing a new oil tank. Chimney cap was a good idea issued by them.

Recent Review: They built our pumped septic system in 2007 and it has been trouble free ever since. They've also done a storm drain replacement and plumbing inspections in connection with some remodeling we have done. All work has been very professional and fairly priced. In this case, we called them to schedule routine maintenance. They set set it up for the next week. They called the day before to remind us of the appointment. They showed up on time and did the work efficiently.

Recent Review: Floyd is an exceptional service provider - provides key information (e.g. budgets, timelines) in advance, installs plumbing equipment efficiently, cleans-up afterward, and thoroughly walks through the installations to ensure customer understands services provided and any ongoing maintenance. Additionally, Floyd has provided valuable perspectives on other existing equipment in the house that should be repaired / replaced - always informative and educational - never pushing his services or sales. He definitely has his customers interests in-mind throughout all of his work. Highly recommended provider.

Recent Review: Steve responded to me within 15 minutes of my call and was at my house an hour later. He completely explained the problem and how it needed to be corrected. He installed an expansion tank on the heater and it corrected the problem. In addition, he called a few hours later to make sure that every thing was working correctly and that there were no leaks. He reiterated that should there be a problem, I should call him immediately. It was great doing business with him and will use him again.
