Gerald showed up at our home and asked if we would be interested in resealing our very long and large drive in Ridgefield. He indicated that while from Wallula, Wa., near the Tri-cities area, the family has sealed drives for three generations, sealing as needed, depending on the weather. They kept in contact with us, showed up when they said they would and finished right on schedule. They were very careful not to spatter on our cement sidewalks and even took up and replaced a number of grates that are in the drive. They were careful as well to move the large Montana rocks along our drive to also keep them clean. Found them to be very competitively priced and Gerald was a particularly polite young man who seems to work very well with his father. Very pleased in every respect with the work they did.

Quick response and extremely attentive to our needs. At first, Nathan was too busy to take the job, so he referred us to another business. He called back a few days later to see if I had any luck getting scheduled. I hadn't. He said a spot opened up so he was able to fit me in that same week! Did a nice job cleaning, filling cracks, and resealing our asphalt driveway. The only negative aspect was that some areas of the product didn't adhere very well and was wearing away a year later.

I instructed them several times where water needed to drain, they paid no attention and had to rmove a 4X15' section to keep from flooding my backyard, after several years the front portion failed I offered to split the cost to repair and they blew me off, when i went to try and repair it my self the asphalt was 1" thick

GRESHAM PAVING
The crew did not speak English, and it was difficult to communicate with them. They were supposed to dig out several feet of the existing driveway along the garage before pouring the new asphalt, but were not doing that, and it was hard to explain to them what was to be done. They ran out of material, and by the time the truck returned with more asphalt it was not hot. After a couple months cracks began to appear and grow, and every time we called to arrange for them to come out and repair it, we were told we will be right out, but they NEVER came. Month after month we called, and they never, EVER came back to fix it! Even though we were extremely patient and understanding about the delay. We never got them to come out and remedy the problem as they kept promising to do. I HOPE THIS IS A WARNING TO ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A PAVING CONTRACTOR, MY ADVICE IS DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

I spent the summer of 2017 being stood-up time after time by another company, dealing with their answering service, and rarely talking to actual employees. When I did talk to employee they never seemed to know what was going on in their company. I heard of Checkered Flag Asphalt from another satisfied customer. I called them and the owner, Don, actually answered the phone. The next day he showed up, looked over the work, and scheduled it for the next week. That booking had to be rescheduled because of rain, but on the second scheduled date Don and his crew showed up. They finished the work quickly and professionally, and their work looks great. I would have no hesitation using them again, or recommending them to anyone.

Recent Review: Alamo was very honest about the difficulty posed by this job, due to the steepness of driveway. They did an outstanding job, and they did everything I asked them to do, including paving part of my walkway and placing a curb on one side of the driveway. They had to charge me extra for additional, under-estimated square footage not noted in the original estimate. I feel that the incremental price was very much in line and was quite competitive. They were punctual and efficient.
