1. No-shows and no communication. The work crew had several occasions when they did not show up and there was no phone call or text message to let me know that they weren't coming. I expected to come home to a clean house, so I was shocked when I got home and found my house the same way I left it that morning. What if I had made plans to entertain that evening - I would have been bringing my guests home to a dirty house! This service came highly recommended by people I trusted, so I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, I received no communication about the "no show" until I called the owner the next day, and she told me they would be there the next week. The next week they no showed again, and she informed me that I had gotten the dates wrong (again no communication from them and I had to call them). They were late for the initial appointment, and they have been unreliable ever since then. Should have listened to my instincts. 2. Quality. When they toured my house to give me an estimate, they told me that they were "OCD", and they prided themselves on their attention to detail. Although my microwave was shining, my bathroom was a mess. They hadn't even touched the bathtub, the floor was filthy, and the empty toilet paper roll that was lying on the floor in the morning was still there after they left, which leads me to believe that they didn't even clean the floor. So much for their attention to detail...... 3. Price. It became clear that I was going to have to find a new cleaning service, so I called some ads in the local papers. Her prices are roughly twice the hourly rate that she is charging, and they have been punctual with their initial visits, Looking forward to new possibilities.
