Oxford Storm Door Installation

He showed up right on time and got right to work. All seemed to go well.  It took him just about 3 hours to complete the project.   He was very flexible with the schedule as I had to change the time once or twice and he called to confirm the appointment the day before.  When he was done he showed me how to change the window to a screen and encouraged me to try the door a few times.  Very patient and friendly.  He didn't know he was going to be rated--he just happened to ask me at the end of the job how I got his name and I told him I got it from Angie's list. This experience turned out well.

Arrived on time. Courteous, efficient took less than a day to complete. Scrapped old windows and door and cleaned all work areas when done. Very courteous and pleasant people to do business with and I will be calling them again,

Every thing went smoothly. There was an issue with the ceiling tile glue not holding, but Jim was prompt in addressing the issue and fixing the problem (which really was no one's 'fault'). The skylight is not leaking and all the work was done professionally and courteously. The company was on the high end of the estimates we received, but then you tend to get what you pay for: It was definitely worth it to have it done properly. Additionally, the company stands by their work and fixes all issues if any arise. We would use them again and recommend the company to others. I 'liked' the company on Facebook, which is not something I normally do for ANY company, but; they are a local and independent small business who do quality work. Moreover, Jim takes the time to develop a relationship with his customers: Something unheard of in the world of mega-corporations and box-store chains.  

Rob is a nice guy. He's the kind of guy who feels like a friend and I trusted him with my property, gift cards for purchases, and to do a quality job at a fair price. I choose Rob based on his Angie's list referrals and the fact that he was the only contractor who responded and followed up to my query. The tough part about working with Rob is that he is a solo operation (most of the time) so we had to wait several months for him to be available for the job. Fortunately our timeline was flexible so it worked out for us. He did a nice job by calling each month to let us know the status of his other projects and when we might expect to get started. When he started he actually had to take a few days off because he came down with a cold, but again he had good communication skills to let us know when he could resume. This is the challenge of hiring an owner/operator. He did a nice job in retiling our main bathroom. The house had its original tiles on the floor and walls from the 1960's which he had to dig up, smooth out the base, and lay down new tiles. He also installed a new bathroom vanity, 2 mirrors, new light fixture, & towel racks as well as painted the walls and ceiling. He did break the top on our toilet when he moved it out, but he was diligent in getting a replacement part to fix it. He was very good about keeping the worksite in good condition and minimizing the impact it had on other parts of our house. He disposed of garbage, and his fee was much more reasonable than for is to pay our trash service. He then proceeded to do our 2nd bathroom in the basement which was a total redo. This first included ripping up carpeting and removing all items. He put in tiles on floor and around shower, built a shower, installed toilet, vanity, mirror, fan/light, ceiling tiles. He did both bathrooms in 2 months as well as a few other projects including fixing a hole in the ceiling of our kitchen. And Turing in a new storm door. We went over budget which I wasn't as happy about but that was mostly because my husband and I wanted some more expensive items than we initially planned. But the result is we now have 2 beautiful bathrooms the way we wanted and we can enjoy using. Working with Rob is easy. We setup payment plans to spread the payments out over the schedule of the project. His rates are fair and he only bills you for his working time. The projects took lots of time and used skills we didn't have. Rob did so much and was always upfront and honest. I will definitely call Rob for future work.

This was part two of a fall project to replace two entry doors and a storm door. One crew consisting of two workers arrived on time. They were very courtious and introduced themselves. At almost the same time tohe door supplier arrived with all materials. The crew was here for six hours. The doors were installed and look fantastic. The cleanup was spotless. Installation was very professional. This was my second experience with this organization. I would not hesitate to have them back for a third project. A very professional and well run small business.

Responsive, honest, and a good problem-solver. There were a few options on how to best fix certain issues and Rob explained them well so that I could make a decision that met my needs and my budget.

Harry was recommended to me by a neighbor for whom he enclosed and insulated a garage into an office space. He is reasonable in his prices. The job he did painting three rooms in my house was meticulous. He has a sure hand and cleans everything up. It was a pleasure to have him do the painting, since the rooms came out perfectly. So did the screen replacements on my porch for that matter. He's careful with everything he touches. He's also assembled a gas grill and replaced the closer on a storm door, which I forgot to mention when I listed all the catagories he works on. He's a Methodist and a church goer. A family man. It's not like you can't go off and leave him in your house either, because you can. Hope this helps to let you know how good he is at various and assorted tasks. He's volunteered to stop in and change light bulbs or take a minute to do what's needed. So helpful.
