Everything was great from start to finish, beginning with making the appointment. The woman I spoke to was professional, but very nice and had a great sense of humor! The technician, Gabe, called me the day prior to tell me what time he would arrive. Well, he was 15 minutes early!! How often does that happen? I had just moved into the house the previous month and had no idea how to start any of the fireplaces. After Gabe thoroughly checked and cleaned them, I got Fireplace Lighting 101! He was extremely patient and showed me step by step how to light the pilot lights without blowing myself up. He was extremely professional, and a great teacher!! I was shocked that I didn't see a review of this company on Angies List, so I had to write. I will be calling them when we are ready to construct our outdoor kitchen, as Gabe advised me of the other services Western Stove and Fireplace offers. And I'll definitely be spreading the word to all my friends!!

We contracted with RJB Construction(Roy Brown and his son, TJ Brown) to tear out a massive, ugly, fake stone fireplace in the house we were purchasing which took up a full corner of the living room. We wanted it replaced with a Southwestern style Kiva with an electric insert. Right off, our pre-arranged start date was postponed because our closing was delayed causing a schedule problem with the tile setters who were to replace the carpeting with ceramic tile in the living room, dining room, library, and bedroom. RJB Construction came to our aid by re-arranging their time and getting all of the demo done so the tile setters could proceed as planned. The demolition job was far more extensive than anticipated. Further, after removing the old fireplace, we expanded the job to include removing a floor to ceiling built-in bookcase; 70's style wood paneling; and removing and replacing drywall on 3 walls of the room. In its place, Roy and TJ created a phenomenal, professional quality Kiva with the electric insert. We absolutely love it and the job they did! Additionally, they installed, prepared and painted new drywall in the living room; and had several electrical outlets installed along with an eye-ball spot light which highlights the Kiva....which is now the center piece of our living room. To further demonstrate the above and beyond ethics of RJB Construction, they rescued us once again by fitting us into their busy schedule when we needed the drywall in our kitchen replaced on very short notice. Bottom Line: Roy and TJ do highest-quality, creative work, at very affordable prices. Without hesitation, we give them super kudos, and our highest possible recommendation.

We bought a gas fireplace in January. They insisted we pay for the fireplace up front (warning sign number one), and then gave us an and quot;estimateand quot; for installation. Installation costs were MUCH more than the and quot;estimateand quot;. In addition, the installers charged us the full rate ($85 per hour) for their travel time. And it is not like it is a long distance, 20 minutes at the most. The bill for the rough in installation was $1300. Now we are ready for the finish out (installing trim, placing the logs, etc). They have quoted us a $75 trip charge, plus $85 an hour for the work. And I must assume they will again charge us an additional $85 per hour for travel time like they did before. So, if you use them, don't let them give you that and quot;estimateand quot; stuff. Make sure you get a firm price contract or they will nickle and dime you to death.
