We contracted with RJB Construction(Roy Brown and his son, TJ Brown) to tear out a massive, ugly, fake stone fireplace in the house we were purchasing which took up a full corner of the living room. We wanted it replaced with a Southwestern style Kiva with an electric insert. Right off, our pre-arranged start date was postponed because our closing was delayed causing a schedule problem with the tile setters who were to replace the carpeting with ceramic tile in the living room, dining room, library, and bedroom. RJB Construction came to our aid by re-arranging their time and getting all of the demo done so the tile setters could proceed as planned. The demolition job was far more extensive than anticipated. Further, after removing the old fireplace, we expanded the job to include removing a floor to ceiling built-in bookcase; 70's style wood paneling; and removing and replacing drywall on 3 walls of the room. In its place, Roy and TJ created a phenomenal, professional quality Kiva with the electric insert. We absolutely love it and the job they did! Additionally, they installed, prepared and painted new drywall in the living room; and had several electrical outlets installed along with an eye-ball spot light which highlights the Kiva....which is now the center piece of our living room. To further demonstrate the above and beyond ethics of RJB Construction, they rescued us once again by fitting us into their busy schedule when we needed the drywall in our kitchen replaced on very short notice. Bottom Line: Roy and TJ do highest-quality, creative work, at very affordable prices. Without hesitation, we give them super kudos, and our highest possible recommendation.
