In 2008 I contracted with David Grant to prepare a landscape design for my front yard and court yard. I also requested he develop an irrigation plan. I had purchased a home with desert landscaping, but the landscaping needed rethinking and renewal. There were functional problems drainage, a rock covering that was washing away down the sloped front yard and a lack of screening by some of the windows on to the street. David listened carefully to my concerns and asked further questions about what I wanted, such as -- what kind of plants did I want? Did I want a low maintenance design? Where would I spend the most time in the yard? David's final design addressed the functional problems with the landscape and I was extremely pleased with its redesign. Although I initially had difficulty visualizing the creation of different levels in the landscape plan, I was very pleased with how they looked on completion. Throughout the design and construction phase David was prompt, insightful and professional. He also worked within the budget I had. To this day I am pleased with how the front and the courtyard landscape look. I am also pleased with the plants David selected for it and the drip system which has worked very efficiently. Since the time of the original landscaping, David has answered questions and consulted with me on various outdoor projects. He has consulted with me on the water feature in the courtyard and on the irrigation manifold in the back yard. He also consulted with me on the construction of a retaining wall on the east side of the house to address drainage issues. David has very high standards, as does the contractor with whom he works. I highly recommend him and his work.
