Richard was very diligent in finding the right one to replace. Once he identified the misbehaving board, he quickly replaced it and brought our washer back to life.

The pump was bad. The cost of the repair would be close to the cost of a new machine and the current machine was a 2007. The decision was made to replace it. This is one of the first times I felt really good paying money for a service call that didn't end up in a fix. John took the machine apart quickly. It was obvious that he knew his craft. He pointed out the rust spots. He explained and demonstrated the broken pump. He explained my options in clear and concise terms and I never felt pressured one way or another. I've been told I'm "particular - in a good way" and John exceeded my expectations! In the very best way!

I asked for a quote over the phone and Chris was super friendly, very helpful, and very honest. He gave me what I thought was a very reasonable estimate and also let me know what i was beating the lifespan of my machine so it might be better to buy a new one. I really appreciate his honesty and friendliness. We haven't decided what to do yet with our machine but we will definitely use their services in the future for appliance repair.

I called Stan this morning (Thursday) around 10:00am. He said that he could come by this afternoon. I asked if he had any idea about time and he said after 2:00pm. I told him that would be good. At 5:00pm I called Stan and asked if he was still planning on coming. His statement was that he got tied up on a job and forgot about us. He asked if Monday would be ok. I said how about tomorrow. At that point he recommended another individual. I look the other company up on Angies List. Not only did this person not have insurance, he only had 4 reviews which consisted of 2 A's, 1 B and 1 F. With this information, I definitely would not have hired this person. Extremely disappointed. (Update) I would like to add that he did come out on Monday, as to his second promise to come to our house. Timely and professional. He advised that the issue was not an appliance problem, but a plumber issue.

The washing machine was no longer agitating. The repairman was 45 minutes late for the appointment but performed the repairs fairly quickly and the washing machine has been agitating since the repair.

The first guy that came out misdiagnosed my problem, but the next guy came out and figured out what was going on. I had to wait for a part to be ordered for about a week. When they guy came to install it, it was not what was wrong with it. He was consequently gone for an hour to get the part and fixed the washer, so I could've had it up and running a lot sooner had the first gentlemen been able to figure out what was happening with it. Thus far the work is fine, but the first man came out and misdiagnosed.

Let me start by saying that we had originally set up an appointment before we read the other reviews on Angie's list then, after reading one, decided to call and cancel because it was very negative. When we called he asked why, and I was honest as to our reason. He first denied that this had actually been a customer, then he said that you can't please everyone, and that customer wanted the job done for free. My wife, and I, listened to him and he sounded very adamant about wanting a chance to prove himself. I asked if he gave estimates, and he said that he did, and they were $76. I also asked if that would be applied towards the balance if we chose for him to do the work. He did tell us no, so I knew that was not an option. He did ask what the issue was, and we explained what the washer was doing, and everything we had already tried to fix it. He said that he would pick up a drain motor in case that was the issue. He called the next morning with the timeframe for his arrival. When he arrived I showed him to the washing machine. He never even turned it on, He went right to taking the covers off. I work from home, so I went back to work. A short while later I went back to check on him. he had already partially put the machine back together. I asked how he knew the pump was definitely bad, and he said just from experience. I was disappointed that he did not even attempt to run it, and duplicate the issue. Once he had enough reassembled, he turned it on for the first time. He asked if that sounded better, and I said that it actually sounded the same. He asked my wife how much laundry detergent she normally used. When my wife attempted to explain how she measured he told her that she should be using the cup on detergent bottle to measure. When she tried to explain that she did the first time, and remembered how much she needed to use. He pretty much beat her up over how she was measuring wrong. My wife got very upset, but kept her cool. My wife, and I, have raised three children, and four grandchildren. I believe she knows how to wash clothes. By this point I just wanted him done, and out of the house. He tried to show his knowledge of detergent, etc. and I was just over his speech. He told me the total was $282. I paid it and he left. He charged me the $76 estimate fee, even though he came in with the only plan of changing the motor. Like I said, he did absolutely no troubleshooting. He also charged $91 labor for less than an hours work. He did fix the issue but I will never use him again. He does not have the people skills for working that closely with the public.

Recent Review: My washing machine started leaking water early one morning and I called A&B in a tizzy as soon as they opened. Anita listened carefully to my problem and offered some troubleshooting tips to avoid having to schedule a service call. When they did not work, she said they were fully booked into the next week but recommended another repairman. I decided to wait for A&B; they were able to squeeze me in within two days. Throughout our conversation Anita was patient and took a lot of time to help me. Phil came to our appointment on time, ran diagnostics, explained what went wrong, and suggested ways to keep it from happening again. It has been a very long time since I have gotten such extraordinary customer service. I will call A&B again and will recommend them to my friends and neighbors. They are terrific!

Recent Review: I wouldn't suggest anyone else! They are the best! Mike came out to look at our washer and found the problem right away. Found the part and had it replaced by the end of the week. He also helped out my grandmother whose refrigerator was leaking. He had to come out several times and try several different things to find it, but he was unrelenting in finding the problem. Turns out it was a hairline crack in the pan. Again, replaced and good as new by the end of the week.
