Absolutely terrible work and extremely unprofessional. Triad Asphalt was hired to pave over my current driveway, extended it to create a double drive, and add a parking pad. They have completely ruined my driveway. This was on November 24th, since then the driveway has continued to deteriorate to the point where it is like walking on rubber mulch in some areas of the driveway. At this point, I do not trust them to fix it and requested a refund. The owner stated he would give me a refund for the half deposit I had put down, but needed time to get it together. I gave him two weeks and I still do not have a refund. He keeps saying he needs time to get it together but will not give a time on when that will be. I have checked with other companies to see how to have it repaired and it is going to cost more than it would have because they have to rip up all of the shoddy work.

Andrew, his crew and his office staff were amazing. Andrew is very professional. He answered our questions through emails and phone calls quickly and was prompt. He has such care for his work and his customers. He came back and did some small repairs and wanted to make sure we got the best job and that we were satisfied. We were impressed with his work ethics and the quality of his work. We have an asphalt driveway and it was in bad shape. They did a great job removing grass, filling in cracks with hot rubber and sealing the drive. I was most impressed that he offered and came through on coming back to do touch-ups a couple of weeks after the initial job. We highly recommend Triad Asphalt and Andrew and his team. We will hire them again when we need repairs in the future.

This went excellent. I had several quotes and chose Hot Top Paving because of the outstanding phone call and quote owner Jimmy gave me. And he personally came out before the job and went over everything with me. I felt real comfortable with that. He was not the lowest bid, nor the highest. But he spent the most amount of time thoroughly explaining the process and answered all my questions before any worked started. I feel like I got the best best job done for the money and I am extremely pleased with the job performed. My driveway looks outstanding and really adds to the curb appeal of my home! Jimmy and his crew arrived on the exact day and time promised, and his crew was very polite and professional.

Good, Company is very accomodating to my requests. And very informative when they first came out for the estimate.

I called and asked for an estimate. The same afternoon a representative came out and measured my drive. A formal, written estimate was emailed to me the next day. I paid a deposit of 50% and the rest after satisfactory completion of the job. The crew came out and completely prepared the drive. They applied two coats and did a 100% clean-up before leaving. The drive looks great.

The C&C Paving team did an incredibled job on my "y-shaped" (two garages, one at either end of the house) driveway that dated from the house's construction in 1977. In fewer than ten hours one day they removed the old driveway, added gravel and re-graded where needed and put down a good thick layer of new asphalt, and it is absolution beautiful. Wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

10/7/2020: I would highly recommend triad asphalt for their honest customer focused approach, timeliness, expert workmanship, VA DISCOUNT, use of high-quality materials, and warranty after the job is complete. VETERANS, this is the only asphalt contractor that offered a VA discount. They are grateful for your service. Do put them on your bid list and be proud to show them your DD-214 or VAMC Card and tell them what you did for the country! The company is owned by Mr. Andrew Cardin, Ashboro, NC. I thoroughly checked out the company business registration (it is a sole proprietorship registered with the Register of Deeds, Randolph County as is required for Sole Proprietorships by NC Secretary of State, NCSOS.gov as “Triad Asphalt by Andrew Cardin”, and their business registration is current for 2020. They are registered with the BBB and do have an A+ rating just as they said they did. I read all the comments on BBB, Angie List, and their website, and found all was very good. Their contract is simple, one page, not eight additional pages of legalese. They were efficient about estimating and pricing which only took about 45 minutes for my big driveway, and they were easy to negotiate an arrival time for the estimate – they will work with your schedule. Their materials estimate was perfectly accurate and included hot mix highway grade asphalt which is better than most contractors will provide for residences at such a fair price that other contractors could not touch. Their payment system is simple as I paid the required 50% up front to purchase materials with a personal check, then secured a bank check for the remainder which I presented to them when the job was complete. They worked hard and did an excellent job, All employees were very respectful and took great pride in their work. The property was left clean, so I did not have any clean-up after the job. I could not have asked for a better driveway and fairer price. They were very respectful of neighboring properties in the community keeping their vehicles and equipment roadside. They laid a two-inch layer of highway grade asphalt (and in some cases 3 - 4 inch to level the driveway from sunken ground) with final layer of asphalt compressed to 1.5 – 1.75 inches. Their paving machine is hi-tech and able to level your driveway instead of just following the existing contour of your old driveway – which is why in some areas the uncompressed layer was 3 – 4 inches thick. I did have the driveway clear and clean for them so they could get right to work – but they brought a six-man crew that would gladly have cleared the driveway for me at no additional charge – so if you need clearing help they will give it to you. As a Veteran, I felt the need to take personal responsibility for the clearing of the driveway, customer needs communications, and prompt payment. Their equipment was not excessively noisy or smokey. With the little remaining asphalt they built a water control bump at the top of my driveway so I will not have to suffer the street drainage water running down my driveway anymore – and did this at no extra charge. Their website quotes John 3:16 and they truly do live their Christian values of honesty, integrity, and faith demonstrated by kindness, trustworthiness, and good works. They paid great attention to detail and provided a superior driveway which should last for at least 30 years with reasonable care. They give a one year warranty as well. I will have them back next year to seal the driveway and complete the carport. I give Triangle Asphalt 5 star plus. In my career I was an engineer and quality manager for the Dept. of Defense, and I know a great contractor when I see one. Triad Asphalt is a great contractor. They came out very quickly to give us a quote. We pointed out several problem spots that would be tricky, like a downspout that was below ground and came out on the edge of the driveway. All of the spots were no problem (they said). They returned as promised and put down the asphalt. They gave us a written guarantee for year and promised to return the following week to see if there were problems. They never returned. There were several problems, many of which we had pointed out ahead of time. The downspout exit is now higher than than the low spot so it is a mosquito breeding ground. There are several low spots in the driveway where water doesn't run off. I have called and texted. They have promised on at least three occasions to return to fix the problems. They haven't and only once did they notify us that they wouldn't be coming. Their guarantee is useless. They will tell you they can do whatever, but they don't . If you have a very straight forward job with no tricky spots and the bed is already prepared, it will probably be OK otherwise don't use them.
