Burlington Exterior Trim Repair

The repair went well. The old flashing at the roof line (behind the ridge vent) was replaced in order to stop a leak in the kitchen ceiling. Jose replaced the flashing with a new sheet. However, a week later we noticed after a heavy rain, the leak in the kitchen ceiling was still there. I left several calls to have them come back out to follow up, but none of my calls were returned.

Hired Gotta Love That Handyman to repaint all exterior surfaces (trim, doors, and a column), and make a couple repairs to a rotted window frame. I payed a nice sum for this work, however, the painting does not look like it was done by a professional. They managed to get paint on my windows, entry way, brick, vinyl siding, and shutters- left it. Left sanding dust on my brick, told me it would come off. I tried to scrub it off, and of course it's not coming off. There are certain areas where they didn't paint at all, like the sides of some of the trim. Other areas are uneven or have paint drips. Work was extremely sloppy. Amazingly, individual has very few negative reviews on the internet- PAY ATTENTION TO THE ONES THAT YOU FIND!!!! I can not stress this enough. Do not dismiss them as the occasional disgruntled customer. The repairs to the rotted window and door frame are fine as far I can tell, but the painting is absolutely atrocious. He asked for a chance to fix these issues, but IMO, they should have NEVER happened in the first place. See the pictures to understand why I declined his offer.

My experience with CertaPro was wonderful from start to finish.  Brian, the owner, was very professional during the estimating process, the office kept me informed about my start date, and the work the carpenters and painters performed was neat and professional.  I loved not having to watch over the shoulders of the folks doing the work.  Everything turned out great and I'll definitely be calling on them again.

Overall, the work was done well and promptly. We had two areas of concern. First, the painters smoked a lot. Over the course of the day, they made a pile of cigarette butts on the driveway and picked up the pile before leaving. However, we did find a few stray butts around the house. Also, we have a dog and young children who could have gotten into the pile. Personally, I'd rather they not smoke on our property while working. Second, in working around the house, the painters destroyed some a temporary fence protecting some newly-planted grass seed. It appears that they simply pushed over and bent a metal stake holding up the fence rather than moving it or asking for it to be moved. I did discuss these issues with the owner. He said he would talk with his crew about the cigarette butts and offered a more-than-fair discount for the damage to the fence.

The entire process was very formal from contact for the quote to delivery of the invoice. Every step has specific times set and when the quote was accepted, a project manager was assigned to my job. The materials were delivered on time and the repairs were completed in one day, even though the work ended up to be more extensive than estimated.

I'm very satisfied! The people from CertaPro where not only friendly, they were professional as well.  The quality of the job was very high and their price was competitive.

I had purchased the "contractor for a day" deal from Angie's list for Mr. Nagle. Immediately after purchasing the deal, I called and left a message for him with my contact information. Mr. Nagle contacted me soon after; as he in the area, he came by the night that he called. My husband explained to him what we needed done and he said that he would start work the next day. As it was raining that morning (and all day) I didn't expect Mr. Nagle to be able to do the work; but he did come by that morning to take measurements so that he could purchase the materials needed to do the work the following day. He showed up promptly and started work. He had told us that he would be bringing his son to help him and he did. He kept me appraised of his progress and questioned me about some things so that he was sure how we wanted things done throughout the day. The work took longer than anticipated and he made sure that we were okay with this before progressing. To be able to do a portion of the work, he had to move a bush that we had in the front of the house. He was very careful about removing it and replanted it for us in a location that I specified. The work that he and his son performed was perfect and is better than the original work. He cleaned up everything so that we couldn't even tell that he had been there. We are extremely happy with his work and will be using him again to do other jobs that we have on our pending list around the house.

David has completed a number of projects at our home. As with his other work, he arrived on time, consulted us if there were any changes in his original estimate, and completed the carpentry project to all our satisfaction. David is a perfectionist and will not cut corners to sacrifice quality workmanship. We really appreciate his neatness when he works.

We are selling a house and our realtor asked us to repair several items prior to placing the house on the market.  I checked Angie's list for repair companies and chose Handy Mike based on his reviews.  We were extremely pleased.  He arranged to meet us quickly,showed up early for his appt which was great.  We received the estimate quickly.  We had to delay the repairs for our own reasons but as soon as we decided to proceed we contacted Mike and he schedule repairs right away.  We found him very professional, performed quality work in a timely manner.  We will definitely us Mike again.

I contacted House Doctors for an estimate on the repairs that I needed done. Steve came out on May 10th  to write up the estimate. He had a price and a start date two days later. The project went very smoothly and the work was completed in one day. I would definitely contact them again for any similar work or repairs needed.
