Southeast showed up on the appointed day to begin the agreed to work. Within 30 minutes of arrival they claimed they could not do the work because the salesperson had mismeasured and they could not install the previously agreed to French drain in our crawl space. The owner, Chris, acknowledged it was their error and offered an alternative solution at no additional charge, and promised to return early the next day to do the work. We agreed to this plan of action. On the next day, Southeast called to say they could not do the alternative job unless we paid them an additional $3000.00. When questioned about the prior?s day promise to do the work at no additional expense to us, the subject was changed, and we were told they would check with someone else and call us back. Three phone calls later ? all calls initiated by us and all calm phone calls by us ? we were told by the secretary that Chris was refunding our deposit. The bottom line: You cannot depend on what Southeast tells you ? either via a contract or via the owner?s own lips. We were told our problem would be fixed and we waited for 4 weeks for our scheduled appointment only to be told one thing on the day of our appointment and another thing on the next day. I took off from work to be available both days ? so I was inconvenienced in this manner as well as being lied to by the owner of the Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair. Southeast is not a professional company and I would strongly recommend that you avoid them at all cost.
