As planned and promised. Bri-Co has no peers. Harold Sinn, owner, is an ever present interested party.

BI-STATE POOL MANAGEMENT
5.0
Rick (Bi-State owner) was very helpful in assisting with the design of our new backyard pool. He provided recommendations on equipment, features, and manufacturers to make our pool a backyard paradise. His crew was always busy, and worked fast to complete our pool. We had a semi-custom design with the features we wanted - waterfall, sprinklers, accent walls, lighting, lounging area, etc. The pool came out fantastic, and our patio area around the pool is spacious and well planned. The crew taught us the ropes of owning and caring for a pool and filter system, and has been responsive to questions and calls for help when needed. If I were to ever have another pool put in to a new home, I would use Bi-State Pool again.

Destruxtakon Demolition, LLC.

Destruxtakon bid a reasonable price for the job, showed up when scheduled, and performed a quality job in a timely manner as promised. There were some additional requests made by me along the way which were also performed without hesitation and at no additional cost. Thanks for that, Dog! The organization was great to work with throughout the project. At times, I became skeptical because of amount of damage incurred due to the level of demolition required, and he kept his cool, and when it was over and done everything turned out great! Thanks again for that!

I've used them for over 15 years, and they do excellent work. They've built me a gazebo, fixed pavers around my swimming pool, and repaired columns for me among other things. It's a small company and scheduling can depend on the amount of work they have going.

Customer service from this company is top notch.  Other places could/should take lessons from Casey. Trench drain was installed to divert pooling rainwater next to the house.  Work was completed in one day and drain functions as it should--no more swimming pools next to my house.  Highly recommended!

MASON'S HOME IMPROVEMENT SERVICE

I called Larry and he responded very quickly. He looked at the project. He quoted an hourly price and began work within a couple of days. He prepared the area for the pool. This included leveling the area, clearing debris and removing the old pool. He set up the new pool and even started filling it for me. The pool was an above ground Intex pool. This included setting the metal frames, liner, pump and hosing.

I called to ask for an estimate and got a call back within 24 hours on a Thursday afternoon. Kevin made an appointment to review the job the following Monday afternoon. He arrived on time, checked out the job, asked a few questions and said he would e-mail an estimate in a few days. The estimate arrived within 48 hours. My wife and I discussed it and decided to accept the offer so we printed the estimate, signed it, and returned it by snail mail to Kevin. About a week after mailing Kevin called me, apologized for not getting back to me sooner, and gave me a date about a week later when the work would be performed. Yesterday Kevin and crew (4 men total) showed up in the afternoon just as he said they would. They worked about 4 hours to remove the old step and slab, cart the debris out to their truck and set up forms. One issue we had is that the old slab was separated from the concrete on either side by white plastic "stab joints."  These were substitutes for expansion joints and look very nice next to a swimming pool except when the concrete starts moving and they crack and get ugly holes in them. Kevin, his crew and I discussed how to handle them. They couldn't be removed because they were stuck in the concrete on either side of the slab that was removed. Finally they decided to cut them out with a concrete saw. There was no extra charge for this but it was quite an effort. Today the crew showed up at 7 a.m. and finished setting up for the pour. The concrete truck arrived at 8 a.m. and the work began in earnest. I should mention that it is all uphill to our pool deck from the street so these guys really had to work hard to cart these wheelbarrows full of heavy wet concrete up to the pool area. The crew put down some plywood so the wheelbarrows wouldn't leave ruts in the lawn area where they had to push really hard to get up the hill. They finished up and cleaned up and were gone by about 11:00 a.m. By cleaning up I mean they swept up all the dust and little chunks of concrete and raked the grass up where their wheelbarrows had caused the grass to go flat. We're very pleased with the way the work looks and with the way this crew of men worked together. There was not a wasted motion over the 8 to 9 hours that they were here.

PRESTIGE POOLS
5.0
What I learned through this process is that no matter how good you are and how much experience you have building pools, it's still a multi-phased project that is dependent on the weather. I contracted with Prestige because they have 30+ years in the business. They know what to do and what not to do and advised accordingly. The pool was recently completed and is exactly what I wanted. The sales rep who worked on my pool design tied in the existing patio and created a great space for outdoor seating facing the pool and woods. Everyone who came out from Prestige was knowledgeable and friendly. I went with a vinyl liner in-ground pool because my neighbor who has an in-ground fiberglass pool recently paid $15k to repair it. I figured a liner replacement down the road is cheaper than a fiberglass repair. My pool was about half the total project cost. The other half consists of a head pump, extra concrete decking, stone wall, fence, cool deck coating with stone border around pool, and cantilever coping.

Jerry is a wonderful, honest man. He has been to our home for many small projects and always does a nice job. Jerry did this work prior to a small pool party I was having and the job was finished prior to the party which I really appreciated. He fit me in his busy schedule and for that, I am grateful.

RON SANSONE CONSTRUCTION INC

I phoned Sansone, Mrs. Sansone answered, took a message and Ron returned my call within an hour, and we set appointment for following day. Ron and Dave showed up on time. We had a lengthy discussion about the job, they asked a lot of questions and listened to my ideas.  The following day Dave came back and took measurement and we discussed a few more details.  Within 5 days, I had their proposal and drawings.  We tweaked those drawings, had another meeting and I signed their contract.  Within two weeks they had received the Webster Groves work permit and started the job. I'll say the work was completed on time, however  the job took a few weeks longer than originally estimated. The city began totally tearing up and repaving our street shortly after Sansone got on the job and then the snow, rain and freezing added to the timetable. The only minor issue we had was one section of stone wall did not meet my approval and when Ron looked at it he said he didn't like it either.  By the end of the next day, he and his men tore out and rebuilt that section section of wall.  I didn't expect anything less since this was the second time I had used his company.  Fifteen years ago, he built a nice patio at our previous home in Webster.

Business Description: Baker Pool Construction was founded in 1968 by a farmer named Tom, a piece of a grain silo, and an incredible amount of ingenuity and hard work. Since then, Baker Pool Construction has established itself as the leading pool construction company in St. Louis by adhering to the core principals of creativity, quality, and integrity. At Baker Pool Construction, we specialize in building custom, concrete pools. Unlike most other pool construction companies, we chose to specialize exclusively in concrete, as it is the most versatile and longest lasting construction material available. Through this commitment to quality, we carved out a niche for ourselves in the custom designed inground swimming pool market where we still proudly maintain a strong presence to this day. Our business is built mainly on referrals by existing customers and, with over 2,400 inground swimming pools built, it is easy to see how Baker Pool Construction’s outstanding reputation has allowed us to remain one of the top-rated builders for over 40 years. Baker Pool Construction works very hard to educate our customers about the intricacies of the pool construction process so that they may make informed decisions regarding their own personal project. Our knowledgeable team of experts will guide you seamlessly through the design process, taking all variables - such as budget, timeline, and client wish list - into consideration. Our designers will also prompt you to think about other important components, such as lighting, deck surfacing, hardscapes, and landscaping. After all design selections have been made and approved by the municipality, our experienced construction crew will begin installing your new backyard in a professional, timely manner. It is this consultative approach, creative design, and extensive experience which allow us to transform backyards in a pleasant manner with minimal surprises to our customers.
