I'm happy with the installation of radon equipment in my basement. Mike, the owner, provided a fair quote and was professional when working with me. Jay, the installer, was patient and courteous when answering my questions. He is very knowledgeable. I received the radon test performed after the installation. The results were better than I expected. I would encourage anyone needing radon mitigation to talk to Radon Environmental Inc. I'm glad I did.

I did not deal with Karen directly—our home inspector coordinated the radon test both times. (We had two homes inspected.) But the results were returned quickly and, in the case where the home had high radon levels, a detailed proposal for a radon mitigation system was also provided. I was very pleased in both cases. Knowing what I know now, next time I would schedule a radon test on my own to save a little money. The additional amount we paid to the home inspector for a radon test was higher than the cost of the radon test would've been had I booked directly with Pure Air.

I sent a request for service through the Angie's List site and no response was received even after one month. I contacted Radon Technology via Angie's List site after waiting about three weeks for a response from Radon Environmental. Radon Technology quickly responded, quoted the job, and did a fantastic job. If you want responsiveness, contact Radon Technology instead of Radon Environmental.

Tim did a very fine job. His workmanship was excellent, and the radon level was reduced below the state guideline. Tim was very knowledgeable about radon reduction and was a pleasure to work with.

Provider was used as a subcontractor--hired by our home inspector. We are purchasing a new home and several people had suggested radon would not be an issue given this particular home has a crawl space and radon has not typically been high in surrounding area. We went ahead with a radon test just to make sure and found that radon levels were high enough to warrant a mitigation system. Thankful we purchased the test. The test took 2 days with a continuous monitor. Results were delivery the next morning after the testing device was picked up from the home.

After learning about high levels of radon in neighboring houses, I purchased a DIY test kit at a local home improvement store. The results indicated that the house measured more than six times the EPA's recommended 'action level.' I spoke with two highly-rated radon mitigation system providers and selected Radon Technology. Both providers offered similar services and guarantees, but even with the other vendor offering a $75 member discount --Tim was still $140 cheaper. He was also available to complete the installation a week sooner than the other vendor. I couldn't be happier with the work that Tim completed. He was prompt, courteous and clearly takes pride in his work. Tim finished the job in about three hours and the radon levels in the house are now at EPA-recommended levels. I highly recommend Tim to anyone needing radon-related services.

Our house already had a radon system when we moved in about two years ago. I did a radon test and found our levels were elevated (between 4 and 6 pCi/L). I did not have information on who originally installed our radon system, so I called Radon Environmental to see what we could do. Chris from Radon Environmental came out and tested our system and found that it wasn't drawing well. He also noted that the outside exhaust was installed incorrectly (too low and too close to a window) and that the fan size in our system was not ideal. He thought he could fix the problem by digging a bigger suction pit for the system but noted that an additional suction line might be necessary. We have an unfinished basement with a dirt crawl space that extends about 1/3 of the floor space, so we decided to seal that. He thought that would help with the radon and noted that it would help with allergies as well. When he came to do the work, he was able to fix it without adding another suction line, which saved us money. Radon Environmental was experienced, friendly, prompt, and professional. I recommend them without hesitation.

We bought a house this year and found that the radon level was around 4pCi/l. We would like to install a radon control system. I contacted some companies. Mike was very responsive and patient with my questions before and after the installation. On the day of installation, the technician came in time. He worked efficiently and cleaned the spots. He found that our basement had a floor drain so he deducted it from the price. The day after the installation, our digital radon detector showed the radon level dropped to around 1 pCi/l. Two weeks later, the report from Micro Air, Inc. showed that the radon level in our basement was 0.7 pCi/l. Hope that the system performs like this in the next few years. After the test report coming out, Mike sent me a test report packet with all the information and documents we need. So far I am very happy with the system and the company.

A radon test of my basement showed Radon levels above the EPA recommendations of 4.0. I contacted Tim Hinojosa of Radon Technology Company who came out to my house and examined my basement. He carefully reviewed my basement and briefed me on the methods for reducing Radon emissions. He then sent me a proposal carefully explaining all the details that needed to be done and the price for the work. He even included the expected annual costs to operate the system. I accepted the proposal. He and a coworker arrive right on the agreed time and date and went to work. Tim worked in the basement and his coworker worked outside. They were a real coordinated team. In about 3 and 1/2 hours they were done. The installation was very neat and everything was cleaned up. Tim left a Radon measurement device in my basement which was read several days later as 1.9. I was very pleased with the work and the results.

I highly recommend Radon Environmental should you detect radon in your home. Chris, the technician, knew how many pipes were necessary. He was careful to place them where they are not noticeable, even in our finished basement. We do not see the fans either or hear them. This is a reliable company you can trust. Besides their skill and knowledge of radon mitigation, they are honest, courteous, and pleasant. Overall, the servcie was excellent.

Radon Technology e-mailed a proposal for the work to be done after speaking with us by phone. In his proposal, he even included proof of license from Indiana for the work that he was doing. He arrived when scheduled and completed the job within 4 hours. A retest of the radon levels over a period of 3 days after 24 hours from installation revealed that the radon level had decreased to a .5 level (vs. the original level of 8).

Jay provided both the estimate and the installation. He was great to work with and completed the work on time and exactly as needed. The radon levels were dropped as promised to a very low level (0.7 pCi/l).

Tim was very responsive. He completed the installation in a timely manner and returned to explain the system and how it operates when he came to pick up the testing device that was set up for 48 hours after install to test for radon. His invoice came in under the original estimate, which was a nice surprise. Would highly recommend him and his company. He sent us the radon system documentation including the post mitigation radon test results the same day he picked up the testing device.

It basically takes the radon out of the house. Radon comes up out of the ground and it is attached to the pit where our sump pump is and it sucks it outside. We had tested for radon with a kit when we had moved in a few years ago and it was borderline. When our neighbor behind us had an inspection done, they told them that it was high. We thought it theirs was high and we can see their house, then ours can't be much different. We thought that we would rather be safe so we had it put in. They didn't actually test for the radon before they put it in; we just decided to go ahead and do it. The gentleman that came out was very professional and did his work quickly. He cleaned up his mess and was neat. He did a great job.

Recent Review: The inspector called to notify us he would be 10-15 minutes late or I would have rated everything an A. He went over what he inspects, his process, and reviewed each item he noted. He did a great job and spent approximately 2.5 hours completing the inspection. The report was emailed and hard copied as promised. We are very satisfied on the work performed.

Recent Review: Great job! Jonathon was thorough and informative. He set everything up with the home owner and seller's agent. He also scheduled to come back for the radon system. It was so easy. He walked us through each issue and explained possible fixes. He documented everything, and it was so simple for us to just forward the findings to our agent. We are very pleased.

Recent Review: He was on time and did a nice job. He went through the entire house, including the attic and garage that's separate from the house. He had the inspection report back in less than 24 hours. He discussed items of concern with my realtor and I and was willing to work with us on criticals. He also ran all the appliances during his inspection to make sure they were all working. He is also able to do the termite inspection and radon. :) He will be coming back to do my reinspection after the seller made repairs.

Recent Review: Installation went smoothly - they arrived on time, took as long (~half a day) as estimated, and did a great job both technically and aesthetically (aside from the PVC pipe on the side of the house, which isn't really their fault). Our radon levels in the basement dropped from well above the recommended limit to basically background numbers. I give them a 'B' on price because their estimate was 50% more than the second estimate we got. We asked, and they matched the lower number without complaint.

Recent Review: Chris arrived early and had already begun the inspection - he was documenting and snapping pics for his report when I arrived. He explained his process and answered any questions that I had regarding his findings or my concerns. I expected to receive the report in two days or so; surprisingly, we received it within an hour of leaving the property! He was very professional and helpful during this process. We highly recommend his services.

Recent Review: We were referred to BPG by our realtor, she suggested a specific inspector, but we ended up booking a different inspector due to a mix up on my part. BPG scheduling was fantastic, due to a short time between our offer and closing and a work trip we had to schedule our inspection within just a few days and at 7pm on a Wednesday I was able to schedule someone for the next day through BPG. Our inspector was Larry Reed and he was fantastic. I would highly recommend him to anyone. We were a little nervous when we figured out that it was not the person our realtor recommended, but due to the time crunch we went ahead with the inspection. Larry called and left a message when he was on his way saying he would arrive early and would meet us there. He did arrive early and looked around to see where things were, but did not start the actual inspection until both my husband and I were there so we would see everything. He was very patient and friendly considering there were some mix-ups where we thought the water would be on and it wasn't, he came out for a re-inspection within just a few days after that had been taken care of. This is our first home purchase and he walked us through the inspection and didn't mind me taking notes the entire time and slowing him down with a lot of questions. He was very informative and the report was very detailed with pictures. We received the report the evening of the inspection and the radon report 2 days after when they checked the results. The radon test was set up and collected by the radon manager, Lynda King who was also very friendly. She made sure to explain to us what she would do and asked if we had any questions. Overall the experience was excellent and I would highly recommend BPG and specifically Larry Reed. For the $470 we got the home inspection with termite and radon, they also have a 90 day guarantee.

Recent Review: Well, we are buying an older home that we know needs work. While I'm a bit handy, I did want some additional information and background. Plus, as the house has a cellar, radon testing was a no brainer. I arrived early at the house at the time of inspection, and Jason Thompson had already arrived. To make a long story short, Jason spent the next 3 hours walking around and through the house. He had a number of findings, and it felt like a thorough walkthrough. As for the radon, Lynda King was on site to collect the radon devices. They both answered my myriad of questions. Do I expect that we found everything wrong with the house? Goodness no. I'm certain that there are numerous small issues that we missed, but I still feel that this was a thorough review and inspection. The reports were received on a Saturday evening, a quick turnaround in my opinion.

Recent Review: I can't understand all of the negative reviews. Selling my house and needed Radon Remediation as a condition of sale. No one wants to do this, no one. However, my experience was painless. From the first call to the service tech, Brad, (more on him later), everything thing went smooth as silk. Brad was amazing. Polite, intelligent, personable, knowledgeable and did he do an amazing job. Everything was explained, clearly. This job couldn't have gone better. It was so painless, that I am trying to get my sellers to use SWAT---in particular, Brad, to do the work in my 1926 house that needs the same work. In conclusion, perfect in every way. Highest recommendation.
