He said he was going to start the first week in June. They started in July after we had to have some trees removed. Every time we were having things ordered, he said there was something wrong with that. I kept catching him in stories and he kept having excuses for everything. The things he did do, he didn't seem to know what he was doing. He would come out, work for a couple of hours and not come back for another week. He installed carpeting before he installed any screens in the screen room. We put a level on a step to the deck in the screen room and the bubble was off the chart and you couldn't see it. There were leaks in the roof you could see daylight through. It's been a culmination of things, now I have to hire someone to remove everything he's done and start over.To obtain an itemized list of things he purchased & used with receipts & a check for the balance from what I paid him. November 7th had a meeting with him & I thought a mutual friend but end up being bullied & intimated by the friend who just happens to be his future father in law but is also a lawyer(past states attorney) & my best friends brother in law ( very small town) . I only agreed to the meeting after the so called friend agreed to bring the list, receipts & check. This so called friend told me if I wanted the list, receipts & money I could have my lawyer request it! Also the so called friend's offer was to have Jason finish the job & correct the errors at no additional charge! Jason has no idea what he is doing, I should have stopped him way before I did, but it was not until people going by the house started questioning the work & told me stop me! I am not a contractor but I know so many of the things he did was just wrong-covering treated wood with sheet metal, laying carpet before the walls are up, raining in even after several attempts to fix it- even put the gutter toppers over open space between roof & awning to "fix"it! At least 3 different contractors have been here to give me estimates to fix it with all saying what he did will have to be removed.
