After Jon did some jobs for me a few months ago (building a fence; indoor repair work), I was VERY impressed with his work quality, professionalism, pricing, and sense of aesthetics. I inquired about doing something with our aging back deck. Jon was very thoughtful with his response, and I felt as if he was giving me information as if I was a member of his family--that is, he wanted to be sure I understood the options and made an informed decision. After hearing what stripping the old ugly red paint off of the 20-year-old deck would involve (both in terms of cost and final results), and hearing what a new deck would cost and look like (and how much longer it would last), I definitely wanted to go with the new deck. I am THRILLED with the results! Jon and Dillon did the tear-down of the old deck, and Dillon built the deck. Jon, of course, checked in and was available for consultation should I want it. Jon used high quality redwood, and the result is a beautiful new deck that will last for many years. He made sure I knew the importance of putting on a fresh coat of oil every summer, and that is the type of detail I really appreciate about Jon. Jon isn't at all about doing a job fast and getting out. He makes sure it is done RIGHT, and will take the time needed to do quality work. Dillon has the same values, and I'm impressed with the detail and quality of his workmanship. I had a problem with a faucet on the back of the house, and Dillon (a plumber by trade) thought about a good solution, went over it with me, and then did it. That is the type of whole-house attention I LOVE to see when I'm working with people who are making improvements to our home. If anyone asks me about home construction work or handyman work, I immediately recommend Jon Stewart Construction. Jon's logo is "No job too big or too small." Boy, that's the truth! It's nice not to worry about insulting Jon when I ask about something small like fixing the fascia where woodpeckers or squirrels have decided to make their home in the winter, or a job like fixing the #$&* wood kickboard under the bathroom vanity. Jon Stewart Construction? The best. I consider Jon and Dillon my go-to guys for any type of work I need on my home. It's nice to feel comfortable working with trustworthy individuals who are all about great aesthetics and a blue-collar work ethic.
