The project started off poorly when the crew did not show up on the date they promised to start work. It was raining that day so it wouldnt have surprised me if they wanted to reschedule, but I did not receive a phone call letting me know either way. The project to replace about 150 square feet of siding got started about a week later. The crew arrived, introduced themselves and started the job. Later in the day they left without any communication to me regarding the job being complete or not. I also did not receive any communication back from the office as to the status of the job. Wanting to get it painted prior to the cold weather, I cleaned up a few loose ends that should have been done by the contractor, and painted the new siding. A week or so later, I received a call from the contractor that a worker was at my house "finishing up the caulking". I was concerned over the additional caulk because I had already painted, but decided to go ahead and let them finish and I would touch up the paint again later. After returning home and checking the new caulking, I was stunned at the sloppy and unprofessional job that had been done. There were drips and gobs of caulk stuck in various places that would have stuck out like a sore thumb if I had painted it. I contacted the contractor to ask them to clean it up and they sent a worker out to do so. I again inspected it and found little to no improvement. I contacted the contractor again and was told that they were sending out the gentleman that sold the job to me in the first place to finish up the work. He informed me that they normally dont caulk underneath each row of siding, and proceeded to take a razor knife sloppy caulk job and cut away the excess drips and gobs of caulk. He made some improvents but as you would guess trying to clean up dried caulk is not going to end pretty which this didnt. Evidently since they normally don't caulk underneath each row of siding, he opted to not re-caulk the areas he had cut away - so now I have siding that is partially caulked underneath each row. I have grown tired of dealing with this contractor, their lack of communication and unprofessional results and will finish the clean up myself. Lesson learned, stupid me for not more thoroughly checking references and talking to multiple contractors before making a decision to use Alpine. I am
