I recently purchased a home and needed to update many of the home's fixtures. I contacted Matt via e-mail roughly 2 weeks prior to service date detailing the work needed and the requested work date. He responded very quickly to arrange an in-person estimate. A few days later, he came out and walked the house in order to provide the best, most accurate estimate possible. He provided suggestions and alternatives to work within my budget and would point out any potential issues that might arise on the service date, so that should anything go awry, it wouldn't be a surprise to me. After a few days of back-and-forth conversation and me trimming down my repairs list, he provided a written estimate of $2,065. We agreed on a service date of 6/12, and he called a few days before to reconfirm and arrange a start time. Abe and Patrick arrived right on time (8:45AM) and got to work immediately, with Matt showing up about an hour later with some of the needed materials (I had requested he pick up some of the items on my behalf due to me having a tiny car!). There ended up being about 5 guys working on the house at one point, as Matt understood my tight timeline and was able to manage the workload in order to complete within the day. When issues arose (as they always will), he talked me through the issues and provided me my options; he was also very patient with me when I was making on-the-spot decisions. I must point out that he had very good communication skills, which isn't necessarily the case for many individuals in the service industry, so it was a pleasure to work with him! Additionally, he ensured he and his crew provided quality work -- for example, one of my fixtures came with very minimal hardware, and once they hung the fixture, they recognized it needed more reinforcement. Instead of moving on, they took the extra care to ensure it was affixed in the most long-lasting manner possible. They ended up leaving right around 5, with all previously discussed repairs completed. Due to the amount of trash, he was unable to haul away the trash the same day, but Patrick returned bright and early the next morning to retrieve the refuse. I was very pleased with Matt and all of his crew. Moving and repairs are very stressful, and unfortunately a lot of the service providers can end up being sketchy so it was nice to work with someone like Matt. He was responsive, receptive, and accommodating to my timeline and needs. I would absolutely use him for future repairs.
