We had extensive landscaping completed, which included installing a drainage line, to manage the run-off from the gutter leaders, 2 concrete paver sidewalks totaling about 130 feet, 1 patio (15 x 15), updating the front stoop with a tile veneer, blue stone steps and landing and two wrought iron railings. The sidewalks were installed in a Herringbone pattern which required that the sides had to be individually cut to fit up against the sailor border. The sidewalk corners (2) also required extensive cutting and fitting. Topsoil and seeding completed the finish work. All of this was accomplished by three workers with occasional assistance from John and Josh (owners) in about ten days. They worked steadily through out some very warm days with only a couple breaks. The workmanship was extraordinary. They also ran into some ledge and large tree roots while working on the sidewalks which required bringing in some heavy equipment. They also managed a workaround when they encountered a large rock when installing the drainage. This was accomplished by installing a pop-up valve at the end of the drainage line which allowed the water to drain gently onto the lawn. Communication was generally good. They made suggestions to our original proposal which we readily accepted and they made no complaints if we wished to tweak the proposal as we went along. I would not hesitate recommending them to family, friends or folks planning similar enhancements to their properties.

Ben was very courteous and easy to work with. I had about 400 SF of old sidewalks removed. They had settled and were heaving after 28 years. They were also very thick - mostly 6 " or more. I then had about 450 SF of new sidewalk poured, which was a little more than the original proposal. We came to a reasonable additional cost. The quality of work was excellent. There was one small glitch that he corrected without much issue. After they were done, about a week later, I called to have him do additional work. I had never included all the work up front because I did not think I would have the funds. But we decided to continue and called him back to remove an additional 125 SF of sidewalk and steps plus we changed our mind on a 30 SF section he poured already and removed that as well. He then poured a new set of steps and large pad plus redid a small section of the original work. Again, another fine job. Well, our adventures didn't end there. He poured the front stoop at 10AM and at 4:30PM, the Fedex guy stepped in the concrete. I called Ben and they turned around, came back, and fixed it. Then 7:30AM the next morning, we noticed there were cat prints in the concrete. At this point, it was clear that something was wrong. No way should either of these mishaps have caused imprints. It turns out that Ben was skeptical as well when he came back to fix the Fedex footprints. Well, the concrete company screwed up the mix and it was a bad batch. He worked it out with the company and a week later, they came back and redid all the concrete from the second phase of the project. The first phase was fine. Everything is good and I highly recommend them.

Very well. The recommendations in the design phase of the project were well thought out. Alex & team showed up on time and began on the agreed upon date. All the work was done professionally and to a high standard. Many on our street inquired and also employed Alex as they saw the quality of the work performed. I would definitely hire him and his team again.

this concrete walkway was probably not a big job as far as these things go; 38 feet by 42 inches, and it was a replacement for a walkway that had been in place many decades. The old walkway was removed earlier by a contracter we had hired to resurface & pave our driveway. Alex framed the walkway on Saturday, 11/2, and came back Monday when the concrete was available to pour. On Monday prior to the concrete delivery, Alex prepped the walkway with a layer gravel rock and steel mesh. I was very happy to see the mesh work, had not expected this, the prior walkway certainly did not have any wire underlay. the poured concreteas from a single batch off the truck. the finished worked was covered with a protective plastic sheet that was removed on Wednesday. We live next door to a school, and Alex had a worker remain after completion to ensure students stay off this walkway when school let out at 3pm. On Wednesday when I came home from work, the plastic sheet was gone, and the gap left by the framing was back filled. No materials from the job were left; clean work. The finished walkway is perfect; slopes away from the house and where it meets the city sidewalk there is a smooth transition. The walkway has the brush strokes on the surface we had asked for to ensure good traction. the repair to the concrete step, which I had asked for only a couple days before the work started was done freehand. Given the location and the fact this was a resurfacing job, framing might have not been possible, just the same, excellent work, and no mess left for me to pick up. We were a little nervous that this work was done too late in the year, not the fault of Alex, totally our fault for a number of reasons, but the cool temps do not appear to have compromised the work. I suppose this review will need to be updated next spring, since I really can't say a great job was done until at least one winter has gone by. I will put a reminder on my calendar. At this point my wife and I are very pleased with the look and feel of our new walk. Alex will be on the top of our list next time we need any masonry work done.

I have never been happier. I went back and forth because of pricing. It was a big project. Another contractor told me how he could fix a particular "bad" spot. I inquired about the same issue with Alex, he said that he would not to the particular task because he knew that I would not be happy with the outcome, and that it would only be a fix. He explained that the brick was old and brittle, cutting and resetting would only make it weaker. He showed me several pictures and styles. Also, gave me several addresses in the area where we could see the work that they have completed. I told him that I needed time to think, he had no problem at all...NOT PUSHY! When I did decide, he and his father came by to show me some samples, I wanted to make sure that my husband also liked it, this was his third trip from Waterbury, no qualms about it. They are clean and concise. They hit a snag with getting some of the pavers, they made up for time the next day by staying late. I love my new sidewalk and steps!!

They were called Sunday August 30th, came August 31st for an estimate on work and they were hired to do job. Arrived 8 am Sept. 1 and finished Sept 3. They removed all parts of old sidewalk, some concrete, some asphalt and some large stone-which went down hill and curved. The straightened it, poured all concrete which was flat,(not downhill) level ,and did a very smooth connection to driveway and existing step. It was done very professionally. Workmen were polite, explained when we could walk on sidewalk, cleaned up everything and left has if they had never been there; except for the nice, level sidewalk
