I called for an emergency repair on a leaking toilet valve. It was 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday and both the website and Angie's List show that Domco provides emergency service. We were literally having to shut the water in our house off or risk severe water damage behind our toilet. When I called I explained my situation and the only thing that was said was, "Well, we won't go until tomorrow." Um...what kind of emergency customer service is that? So much for 24/7. The paid too much for the graphic that's on their website if they aren't planning to use it. Won't call for any service again.

Manuel is the greatest handyman and is always helpful to me when something breaks or goes wrong. He is a godsend to helping women with issues when they need guidance to a problem and how to evaluate the seriousness of the problem. The water was leaking and the spigot was broken and the emergency shut off for the irrigation system did not stop the leak and so I had to turn off the main water line to my house and this happened at 7pm on Sunday evening. Manuel came at 3pm the next day and identified the source of the problem and went immediately to the store and replaced the spigot and by the time i got off work the water had been restored to the house. I can't say enough good things about this extraordinary handyman and how he has helped me in times of crises. He is extremely fair in his prices as he values his customers and knows the importance of doing good quality work . I would not hesitate to recommend him in an instant to anyone needing a good reliable handyman.

The Plumbing Therapist
I discovered a broken sprinkler valve on the weekend and called the Plumbing Therapist first thing Monday morning. Mike came out that evening and worked into the night to repair the valve. Not only was it dark, but hot and humid too! He was prompt and professional. Since the glue wasn't entirely dry, he left the sprinkler valve off and came back in the morning to check and turn on the valve. Unfortunately for Mike, later in the morning the valve came apart and water was spraying everywhere. He did not hesitate to return to fix it and was very apologetic. I was impressed with the overall service and professionalism and would not hesitate to call again.

Our water softener started leaking on a Friday afternoon -- understandably one of the worst possible times for getting help! I had to call Angie's list to get names of plumbers who supposedly had 24/7 and weekend appointments as I wasn't getting anywhere just calling companies listed from their website. I give them a C rating because on the positive side they did pick up the phone and I actually talked to a real person. (The mailbox of one company I called was full, several others I called I was only able to leave a voice message.) The negatives come in because 1) they actually are NOT 24/7, 2) they don't have a plumber available on Sundays and 3) I was quoted a fee of $165 for the first 1/2 hour, and then $82.50 per 1/2 hour after that. That is a pretty exorbitant fee!

I broke the shower handlewhile trying to replace the it. This caused a leak that could only be stopped by turning off the water supply to the house. This occurred on a Sunday so I called plumbers who advertised that they provided 24 hour emergency service. Of the 4 I called, only Boyd Plumbing actually provided 24 by 7 emergency service. I left a message with their service and they called me back within 10 minutes and were out to my house inside of 30 minutes from the call. Ed Massengale, the service repair person, was professional, informative and made the repair within 15 minutes of arriving. He provided advice on the proper fixture to buy and actually found my shut off valve to the house so I do not have to use the curb side shut off anymore. Quick professional service.

It went well. He assessed the issue quickly and fixed the problem right away. He was polite and personable. Although the $250 price hurt a bit, it wasn't out of line for emergency plumbing service. The fact that he came right away found and fixed the problem was worth it.
