All went well, he came for an initial visit to determine the scope of the work and then we were able to schedule a time for the actual install.

Excellent.  Home Depot would not install the microwave because a bolt needed to go where a support board was.  Richard came prepared with some wood that he was able to use to make the installation.  Richard had to insert a few additional boards to make it all secure.  He was creative and very efficient.  Polite, neat, considerate.  A great find!

Scheduling is not a problem with Stephan, and he and his crew did arrive on time for the project and finished the project within the timeline as well. Communication was also quick and easy. I emailed precisely what items needed to be work on along with pictures of the property. Unfortunately, he brought an 6-8 person crew the day of (which he charges $75 per hour PER PERSON) for work to be done. This was totally unnecessary.  I had them paint 2 bedroom, a living roomI had needed closet doors for my master bedroom which equated to $2,400 of work??? I got charge for replacing two light bulbs (that I purchased) for $75. I could go on.  Their price is expensive. Try to use them only in emergencies.

Although this project was not a disaster, the quality of Philip's work was disappointing. The cabinetry (a very simple job with just two trimmed panels) looked like a 6th grade shop project. There is a crooked splice in the middle of EVERY span of molding - and no span is more than 3 feet long! I suspect he spliced extensively to make up for inability to miter properly. The damper and an additional cover on the Vent-a-Hood did not get installed. I found the cover in the packaging in my garage, but suspect he discarded the damper. (He also discarded all the manuals and installation guides). I ordered a replacement and he promised several times to come out and install it, never doing so. On the plus side, my job was rather small and it was not easy to find people to take on a $1200 project when they could be doing a $60,000 new kitchen in Los Altos. Hint: The best contractors take the $60,000 jobs and leave the small fiddly jobs for people like Philip.

IT TOOK SOME TIME FOR XTRA-HAND TO SEND US A BID. THEY HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEIR EMAIL.THE YOUNG MEN WHO REPRESENTED XTRA-HAND WERE PLEASANT,& EFFICIENT & EXTREMELY PATIENT WITH MY INABILITY TO SPEAK ABOVE A WHISPER (PARKINSON'S).. ONE CAME ON A THURSDAY, & FRIDAY,HE WAS JOINED BY ANOTHER, & HE CAME BACK ON THE TUESDAY TO SPRAY THE SURFACE ON THE CEILING REPAIR SO THAT IT MATCHED THE REST OF THE CEILING. (MONDAY WAS LABOR DAY.) I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW WILLING THESE YOUNG MEN WERE & HOW WELL THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES.

Alberto was very responsive and finished all the work very quickly. He offered to pick up my appliance at the store and deliver it to my house and install it. He is prompt, professional, and neat. He left all work spaces clean. I am going to definitely use his services again and would highly recommend him.

Excellent. This company did a whole kitchen remodel for us 3 years ago, and when I called about a problem with an appliance no longer under warranty, they stepped in to help out. Above and beyond the usual professionalism.

Technician knew exactly what the problem was and completed the task in a short amount of time. He was very professional. This service is part of a home warranty purchased through Sears. Cost is $40/month to cover a number of appliances (stove, oven, wash/dry, microwave, etc.). In this case, it was $80 to fix the microwave.

This job was to replace an over-the-range microwave oven that stopped working (after 16 years) for my rental property. I left a message with Mark about the job and to get an estimate. He responded the same day. I purchased the microwave and requested it to be picked up at the store located near my property. Mark offered to pick it up on the scheduled day of the job. However, he had to reschedule the installation because the microwave was not released to him. (I failed to leave his name as the pick up person). Aside from the setback, the job went very well. According to my tenant, Mark was prompt, tidy and professional. He also took the old microwave for disposal, which was very nice. Mark is kind, friendly and efficient. My tenant and I are very pleased with his work. He is highly recommended.

They told me they needed pictures. I sent them. They said they would give the info to a technician. And they’d get back to me. Then never got back to me.
