Black Mountain Plumbing Inc

David came out on a Thursday and I walked him through the potential work.  Another trade contractor had done most of the excavation, so I only had to do a little extra digging around the sewer tie in point to the existing plumbing.  He explained what was needed and provided a written estimate.  Black Mountain had a competitive bid (hundreds less than others) so I called their main office to schedule the work.  The 15% Angie's List coupon saved me nearly $80. Travis was scheduled to come out on Monday.  Travis called ahead to let us know when he would arrive.  I walked Travis through the work and he promptly started to work.  His truck had a rolling parts store in it and he had all the materials on hand.  He completed the work in about 2 hours and explained to me the venting requirements and finish plumbing work needed after the construction was complete.  I had a great experience with both plumbers visiting my project and Black Mountain Plumbing.  I would gladly hire them again and they have my highest recommendation!

In one earlier job we had a few issues with Walter Anderson. But they have gone above and beyond the call to rectify all issues and satisfy us completely. As a result we did more work with them and couldnt possibly be more pleased. They genuinely seem interested in the satisfaction of their customers and you cant say that about every contractor! Highly recommended.

Remodel Works Bath & Kitchen
5.0
Kitchen remodel started November 9th, 2020 and was scheduled for six weeks. They finished early, which was a major plus. From the first phone call to the last day of the project, Remodel Works was highly engaged and supportive. For instance, we wanted a new Kitchen but did not have an idea of what to do. John De Luca designed a kitchen that exceeded our expectations. Ryan the project manager was straight forward, communicated well and got the job on time. Our new kitchen has made it the center of our house. Prior to the remodel, the family would seldom utilize the Kitchen unless it was for cooking. Now it has become the hub our home. Friends and family are amazed at our new kitchen. We constantly receive positive feedback about the design and color schemes. Remodel Works is a professional company, and I will utilize them again for any house remodels.

Woody and his son, Josh performed a detailed inspection of our entire plumbing system. This process took 2 hours including inside and outside plumbing. They provided a detailed report with some excellent recommendations for improvements to our systems. Their evaluation was extremely helpful and provides us with a game plan for future plumbing work. We would definitely have Woody and Josh back in the future.

Will De Leon was prompt, courteous and exhibited a concern for our personal property which was damaged in our most recent pipe leak. During repairs Will showed a genuine positive work ethic and shared his experience and knowledge with the issue we were having with such a repeat problem. He restored our trust and faith it hiring an outside plumbing contractor to accomplish our work. Will is truly an asset to 1st Choice Plumbing and we will definitely call on them again if the need be.

Recent Review: My wife and I hired TR Construction to do our kitchen remodel and room expansion at the back of our house. We were impressed with everyone we spoke to in the office and also with all the guys in the field. Tony came out originally was very knowledgeable in all aspects of our build out, he made great suggestions on placement of our new kitchen as well as future desires. He had promised a written quote with all details within a few days and delivered! We couldn't be more happy with our new kitchen and room addition. Great experience overall. Thanks to Tony and everyone else involved. We will be in touch for future projects.

Recent Review: It is been a few months since our kitchen remodel and we can’t believe how spectacular it is and why we waited so long to decide to do it. Ryan was perfect to work with and he contributed so many terrific ideas. We got every single thing we wanted and we managed to stay pretty close to budget. We absolutely believed we got the best value for our dollar. All of his workers are great detail oriented perfectionists. They were on time and just really nice people. Special shout out to Jesus, our foreman who always kept us informed of the work schedules and made sure everything was just perfect for us. We are repeat customers (2 bathroom remodels including a steam room in 2018) will continue to use and recommend Integrity Home Improvements. They are the best!

Recent Review: Working with Greg (the owner) was great. He came out on time to give us a quote, and unlike the other bidders who just speculated, actually checked out the framing in our attic to determine if a load was wall bearing. The bid was very competitive, and we had a strong recommendation from a friend who had used Gilbert Construction for his own remodel. Greg was great in terms of working with us. He was completely flexible in terms of letting us choose what we wanted to do ourselves. Scheduling worked out very well. For example, the drywallers finished on Friday, letting us paint over the weekend, and the cabinet install started on Monday. Overall, there were no major surprises along the way, and things stayed on schedule. We added some window replacement and a bit of extra plumbing to the job as it progressed, but the original quoted work was completed as-bid. We had a few issues with the electrical subcontractors, but nothing major. The rest of the subcontractors were all great. We'll use Gibert Construction again for future projects, and have already recommended them to friends.

Recent Review: Hiring a Contractor   Luke Woolsey came to me from a friend, who has had a lot of work done on her home. I knew if she liked him, he would be more than satisfactory for me.   When you have an old house like I do, the original intended project quickly morphs into something else entirely. Many homeowners become suspicious of contractors when they simply tell you the truth.   Is that the fault of the contractor your house is falling apart? Absolutely not.    I knew my overall goal for the project was to restore structural integrity to the house. I discussed this with Luke frequently, so he knew what my priority was. This is critical to a productive relationship with your contractor.   Knowing my husband wanted to keep expenditures to a minimum, I would hand Luke my camera and have him photograph all the deficient areas that he found. I highly recommend all homeowners do that. You want a record of before and after. I would show my husband the pictures, we?d approve the cost via Change order and cross that issue off the list.   We started out with a list of things that needed replacement: windows, a deck rail, some roof leaks etc.  For a home built in 1978, we soon found we had extensive dry rot. Our roof had been built before the current code and all our flashing were out of code and hence the leaks.    With the roof, I had Luke remove the tiles from eave to the top pitch of the roof. Take some pictures. Sure enough, you could see all the felt was rotted, no washers around the nails, failed flashings. Can?t argue with pictures.  So we did the roof via RC Roofing, a Luke Woolsey subcontractor.  Luke replaced all the dry rot wooden eaves.   Onto the deck, it was out of code, the surface rotted, railing rotted, iron work pitted and starting to rust.  Again, drag out the camera. The entire deck got rebuilt, the railing replaced with a composite material that termites don?t find appetizing. Luke recommended resurfacing the iron work, which turned out beautiful. I don?t know where he finds his subs, but they are all quality workmen.   Window replacement was also on the list. The glass company, Glenview Glass and Screen was quick, neat and did exceptional work.  I wanted them to reinstall a shower enclosure but they came up with a cost effective substitute which looks way better than what I had planned.   Air conditioning duct work was also an item. His duct work sub, Kunkle Heating and Air, was simply super. Fast, neat and definitely knows his stuff. They installed a couple extra ducts in the upper story that more evenly distribute the cool air, which is really important in Poway during the hot weather.   I was extremely happy with all of the work that Luke did. The work was first rate and he uses quality materials.  He did some minor items for me with no charge which was really nice.   My neighbors have commented on the roof, the deck and my new windows. My only hang-up about writing this review is I don?t want Luke to get too busy.   I plan on downsizing in the future. I know I will rip up the kitchen of any house I buy. I want Luke to do it. I don?t want him to be too busy.

Recent Review: We had a wonderful experience working with Guy and his crew on our kitchen update. He listened to us throughout the process, understood our desire to retain old-house bones/idiosyncrasies, and offered helpful suggestions (improvements) to our initial proposal — most notably to level the bar/counter to an seamless counter height. New counters/backsplash, fresh paint on the cabinets. Replaced sink/disposal/under-sink plumbing as well as all outlets and plates. Pictures hopefully give some justice to the remarkable update, but thank you Guy, Francisco, Ivan, Juan and the rest of the team at Infinity. We love our new kitchen!

Recent Review: Overall, it went well, I would consider it a success. Once the date and time was established, on the 1st visit, the technician assessed what work could be done, provided an estimate, purchased the items and completed the repairs. The kitchen fluorescent lamp covers (4) needed replacement, and the plastic needed to be special ordered. On the 2nd visit, the covers were cut and installed; and the ceiling light was trouble-shot and repaired. Technician was on time and courteous; invoice and payment was explained and was no problem.
