Lincoln Popcorn Ceiling Removal

It went well. They came out and gave us an estimate. We made an appt for the repair, they showed up when they said they would and did all the work promised and cleaned up.

I liked the man who gave the estimate. but the estimate was so ridiculously high I did not hire them

There was water damage in the front-porch ceiling of my mother's house. Over the years, the porch had developed a leak in a couple of places, but since the porch was an open area with a rock floor, we were not in any hurry to repair it because it wasn't really doing any damage to the house itself. But, eventually, we had to replace the roof on the house and decided to repair the ceiling on the porch shortly after that. We hired Chuck to remove the entire ceiling of the porch so the area would be ready for the carpenters who were going to replace the ceiling and install a ceiling fan. Chuck arrived at 8:30 sharp to start work. He removed all the old wood and insulation, stacked all the trash on his trailer, and hauled away all the debris. It was a very labor-intensive, dirty, and HOT job. He worked very hard and completed the entire project by noon. He left the area very clean without even a stray nail on the porch or in the front yard. It was a job well done and we appreciate his hard work.

The original fan had a light switch for both the light and the fan. When her put the new fan in he just connected it all to the same single switch so it's all or nothing unless you use a remote control.

The experience was very good. The technician was nice and on time for the appointment. I thought the prices were reasonable. One technician came out to do the work and it took a couple days to complete.

No complaints. The installation of the ceiling fans took longer than we both expected but in the end, it was work my husband was glad he didnt have to do. Punctual and professional.

It was awesome. Had been told previously the switch for the fireplace couldn’t be done where we wanted it. Ronnie quickly problem solved and got it done quick! The fan was a little more complicated. He had to cut the ceiling and replace it without leaving holes because we are not ready to remodel all of the ceiling yet. He did such a good job you have to be looking straight at it to see where he made the cuts. He’s fast, pleasant, and does great work! I recommend him whenever I get the chance.

We had some issues scheduling but I think it was more of the cable companies fault, but once I had called, a technician came out right away to do the work. Two technicians came out and they were able to get the job done very quickly. They really went above and beyond for us and they did an amazing job.

Jeff was amazing! He came out multiple times and really worked with my schedule. He was polite, punctual and cleaned up. He did a great job matching the texture of the ceiling. The damaged area was in our entryway with a lot of natural light, so it was important to me that the repair blended very closely. Prior to working with HMM, we had a competitor of theirs out to try to repair the damage and they couldn't repair the ceiling to our satisfaction. Jeff was able to match the texture (and for less money than their competitor) I worked with Tiffany in the office on scheduling and payment. She was very informative and kind.

We set up a noon start time on Wednesday 10/10/18, so I rearranged my work schedule to let them in and show them where they would be working. We are remodeling our kitchen and the carpet had been removed, furniture covered and everything on the walls taken down so the workers had NO PREP time. The workers showed up 3.5 hours late, at 3:30PM and started by taking the ceiling fans down. As they were painting the ceilings, around 5:00PM the owner Jackie dropped by, left suddenly, one of the workers followed her out to the car where they argued, then called and yelled at him for the next 4 hours, accusing him of cheating on her with me and threatened to ”burn him”€ - my husband and I were in the bedroom with the door shut and could hear every word. My husband went out to ask what was going on, but it continued, making it impossible for the handyman to focus on his work. His helper continued working. At 9:30PM they had finished painting, but missed spots because it was dark - we will have to touch up the paint. My husband asked how long it would take before they left, because we get up early for work. They said 15 minutes to put up 2 ceiling fans, which would be impossible. At 10:00PM, he paid them for painting and asked them to leave. One ceiling fan was partially up, but incorrectly assembled. We will have to take it down and start over. The next morning, we found 2 of the custom made kitchen cabinets Lowes was about to install for us completely destroyed under the ceiling they had been painting. We both took pictures and sent them to Jackie, but she has not responded. These people have no business being in anyone’s home.
