It went beautifully. Blake and his helpers ripped off the old deck and took it to the landfill. They cleaned up all the debris left by the demolition, even picked up old nails that had fallen on the ground. Installed new decking, a composite material, not wood. The job looks beautiful. We had them lay the board at angles, not just straight lines. Every joint is even and in line, for every board. The composite decking isn't as thick as the wood decking, which left lines on the posts and balusters. Blake covered that with small pieces of wood, similar to laying baseboard. Did a beautiful job there too, all the joints are even and tight. Again, cleaned up all debris and took it away.

New Life is an extremely professional and affordable multi-surface cleaning company. Chuck and Ray did an extremely detailed job on the multiple things that I needed done around my home and driveway. They took my old weather stained and moss covered deck and gave it a new fresh look. It was a complete transformation, I was more than satisfied with the out come. I felt the same way about the amazing job they did on my concrete driveway. Oil stains from vehicles, dried paint from previous DIY projects, rust from a basketball goal. Chuck cleaned and erased stains that I was convinced were permanent. Not to mention the carpet cleaning service he also provided. I was completely blown away by the process. They used E.P.A. aproved and environmental friendly products that were also water soluble. Completely pet friendly and CHILD SAFE.. I would highly recommend choosing New Life Hard Surface Cleaning & Restoration for any surface you need cleaned.

I wasn’t happy with them at all. You can’t get ahold of them. They don’t call you back if you have a problem. There were two men and they had a squabble here one day. I had to ask one of them to leave. The deck boards are warping. It hasn’t even been up for less than 2 years. When I thought they were doing good work, they put a roof on a house for me. The roof kept leaking. I couldn’t get ahold of them to fix it. I had to call another roofer to repair it.

It?s not too often that I write about a company to say how impressed I am with their service?but all I have to say is WOW. North Alabama Builders exceeded my expectations in every way possible. We worked the entire project through the company's owner, Brent. I was extremely impressed with Brent and his thorough inspection of the property, existing deck structure, listening to the vision/needs we had for the new deck and execution of the project. Brent continuously updated us throughout the project and stood behind his work in every way possible. The original estimate was very detailed and provided exactly what work we agreed upon. I was happy to see all the details in the estimate and it further provided me with confidence that Brent thought through all the details of the project. He executed exactly as he stated he would. We even ran into some issues with our existing structure (rot underneath a old door) and expanded the scope of North Alabama Builder's work. His team responded without any issues to the additional scope we added. Even with the additional work we added, Brent stayed within the budget he estimated. Additionally, there were a few details where Brent and his team went above and beyond what was in the estimate - such as painting the internal wall and trim where an old door was removed and replacing some boards in the bottom deck to make it look completely finished. We did not expect this and we were excited to see this attention to detail. We left Brent and his team with a key since we were not able to be home for the entire project. We never even thought twice about this. I would highly recommend North Alabama Builders. We were thrilled with the work and would use him again in a second.
