I visited the local Lumber Liquidators to obtain information and buy flooring for my home. The sales people were nice and knowledgeable and were very responsive. I, at that point was pleased, so I called to schedule an appointment for the measurement on 01 Nov 14. The measurement was scheduled for 03 Nov at 1030 in the morning. I set around until noon awaiting the arrival of person. I was not contacted by noon so I called the store. The assistant manager advised that the person scheduled for the job was admitted to the hospital over the weekend so he would not be coming. I asked why I was not notified that the person would not be coming and was told that Lumber Liquidators did not control the installers/estimators. I realize that an unexpected hospitalization is out of the control of Lumber Liquidators, but cannot understand why they could not notify me of the change. But according to the asst. manager it is not Lumber Liquidators responsibility to do so. I advised that I had made the appointment with what I thought to be Lumber Liquidators and in fact the individual was a part of the staff at Lumber Liquidators, LL, when I visited and called to schedule the appointment. I called to register a complaint with LL and the person was very helpful. I was advised that LL had a separate scheduling area and I was connected. My point here is that LL does keep track of appointments. However the person I scheduled the appointment with failed to enter the appointment into the system. When I called to complain the Lady sent me a Survey to fill out which I did promptly. This was on 03 Nov 14 and submitted. To date I have not received a phone call from LL, other than a request from the scheduling arm of LL to send another estimator. I declined the rescheduling as I cannot spend $8,000.00 to 10,000.00 with a company that has such dismal business practices. Their Customer Service, in my experience and opinion, is totally unacceptable. I really expected a call or at least a return e-mail trying to correct this regretful experience I encountered with LL. Again to date nothing to try to correct this situation from LL. I am amazed that a national organization like LL has such low regard for their customer, or what could have been a customer.
