A local moving company dinged my drywall while moving out an old couch, they told me to find a contractor & they would pay the repair. This was in June, and everybody was real busy. It seemed like I couldn't get anybody to come out and give me an estimate because it was such a small job. Chris with Steadfast returned my call, and worked around my schedule to come to my place on my lunch hour to give me a quick estimate. Further, later that evening he invoiced the estimate and got a copy to me the next day so I could forward it to the moving company. At the time my wife was pregnant and she couldn't deal with any fumes. So I asked both the moving co. and Chris if we could put this warranty on hold until the end of August when my wife delivered. They both kindly agreed. It gets better, in August I had a window of time available and I thought I'd call Chris, knowing hes probably busy with bigger jobs. I left a message for him about 1 week B4 I wanted the work done, and he called me back within a couple of days & agreed to do the job on the requested date. Keep in mind a small drywall repair is tedious because you have to mud it, then let it dry for a couple of hours, come back sand it down & re-mud any touch up, then let it dry again, then come back for texture & let it dry. and finally re-paint. All together Chris did 3 quick visits on my requested day, working them in with another job he was working in the area. Finally, the texture took overnight to dry and he worked with me yet again to come over the next day at 7am B4 I had to be at work to do a quick paint on the repaired areas. Its also worth mentioning that since he was here doing the area damaged by the movers, I asked him to touch up a couple of other areas that needed cosmetic drywall repair. I told him I wanted to make it worth his while (I was just glad to get somebody to come out), and that he could just bill me separate for the area's that were cosmetic & not damaged by the movers. Amazingly, he sized up the requested extra's and said he would do the additional work for the original fee that the moving company was going to already pay for the repair. In other words, it didn't cost me a red cent for ALL said drywall work. Chris definitely went above and beyond for me (and my wife & baby). Overall, this service was above and beyond any I have ever experienced. Chris is truly a polite professional and hes very responsive when you attempt to contact him. I will definitely be using steadfast home repairs again in the future, in fact we already talked about having him come back for a small baseboard trim repair job. However, this time I'm gonna cut him some slack & schedule it in the winter (his less busy season). Cant go wrong with steadfast home repairs, would highly recommend!
