Although we ran into many complications ie, bees nest in the wall, electrical and plumbing issues, unsquare log walls, challenges of working in the middle of winter...Jason and his crew were able to press through completing the job with professionalism, dedication and patience. I would highly recommend Spartan Construction LLC for even the most challenging project.

Our kitchen ceiling sprung a leak on a Thursday night. It was so bad we had to turn off the water to the whole house, leaving us with a 3 year old and a newborn, and no water. The problem wasn't worth an and quot;emergencyand quot; after-hours service call, but we needed it fixed ASAP. My husband called Stack at 7:30 Friday morning and they were at our house in North Pole by 8:30. It took them about 5 minutes to find the problem (a nail hole in a supply pipe) and another 15 to fix it. I was home by myself and know nothing about plumbing, so they easily could have dragged the job out to charge more in labor, but they worked fast and I wound up paying a lot less than I expected when it started raining in our kitchen the night before. They were very friendly and professional and I would absolutely call them again.

They did what I asked. Every year we have the washer line snaked and there is always a clog at 42-45 ft. Everyone else I call tries to heat the line or unhook a toilet or snake the kitchen line and argues with me. These guys are very polite professional from initial phone to call through service. They even were trying to clean everything up for me and putting the washer back into place and wipe down the washer for me. I ALWAYS use these guys for the past 5 yrs.

It went very well. The plumber, Jim, was punctual, friendly, proficient, competent. I gave him an overview of what I hoped he could work on, setting him to work on the priority item - toilet change-out - first. Because we noted during the overview that the supply line and flange and outflow pipes were corroded, replacing these was added to the job list. Water supply needed interruption for only one minute while he put a new valve where he would be adding new line, which he had in his truck. While I drove to the plumbing supply shop that carried the additionally needed sewer line parts, Jim carried on prep work plus attempted to dismantle the kitchen faucet, which I had not been able to do; Neither could he. With parts on hand, toilet work was quickly finished, area cleaned, and advice given for faucets, allowing me to improve one and replace the other. Jim did not charge for travel nor overhours time.

I called because I needed my new gas stove hooked up to the propane line in my kitchen. I thought it would be a super quick job, but it turned out that the stove needed to be "converted" too. I had no idea what that meant, and was led to believe it was a pretty simple, quick task that any plumber would know how to do (I blame Home Depot for lack of communication on that part). Len arrived and said he couldn't hook up the stove without the conversion, and I was desperate to have a working stove, since I'd waited 9 week for Home Depot to deliver it. Len did the conversion even though he had never done one for this type of stove before, and he was pretty unhappy about it because it was tricky. The actual hookup took no time at all, though we were missing a connector and he had to drive to 2 stores to get one (and we had to pay for that driving time as well). I would say that the main drawback of this service was the abundant chit chat and complaining -- in some ways that is my fault because I didn't know I needed the conversion done in advance, but in other ways I stood there thinking, "why am i paying to have this conversation?" After some strange negotiation over price, weighing the # of hours it took him (about FIVE!!!!) versus the fact that ultimately I should have had it done somewhere for far less, we settled on $270, which was excessive for what was done but in fact was far less than his hourly rate. VERY frustrating process overall. In summary, if you need a gas stove hooked up, make sure that you have the conversion from natural gas to propane done by someone else (Home Appliances said they would have charged $70), and THEN call this guy, and he could do the hookup for you in a very short time.
