Always On Call Mountain Mechanical Corp

My first call to Mt. Mechanical was on July 9th. I was scheduled for the next day but asked to be put on the pick-up list. 10 minutes later a technician called and 20 minutes later he was at the house. The flapper in my toilet gave out but because the toilet was so old there were going to have to be modifications made which would in all likely hood cause either the tank or the bowl to crack. He also discovered that the main water shut-off was corroded to the point it had to be replaced! He was nice enough to turn the 'service call' into an estimate only call and didn't charge me. We put off the work until the following week to give me time to coordinate with AWWU to come shut the water off and to give me time to get a new toilet. We re scheduled for July 17th and the technician showed-up at 8:30 and had everything prepped and ready to go so when AWWU showed-up at 9:00 it only took him 10-15 minutes to replace the water shut-off so water could be turned back on to the house, then it was another hour and he was done installing the new toilet. I couldn't believe how clean he left every thing, and he not only took away the old toilet, he also took away the box, etc. from the new one too! I am a first-time homeowner and this was my first experience having to deal with a plumber and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised not only with how quickly I received service but how pleasant, courteous and professional everyone I dealt with was.Thank you Russell and thank you Mt. Mechanical!

Received a quote on services and set up an appointment for 9 am. Technician called at 9:22 am to let us know he was late. He had to get gas. He arrived and started working at 9:38. The work was done quickly - he was writing up the bill 31 minutes after arriving. All appearances indicate the work was done correctly, but he left packing materials in the bathroom, and the floor was covered with water when he left. Following the work, we called the company to let them know we didn't appreciate the late start or the mess left in the bathroom. We were told that we shouldn't expect a prompt arrival at 9 am for a 9 am appointment, because they open at 9 am and the tech has to drive to the site.......apparently it was our fault. The response to all of our concerns was a repetition of the question "your work got done, right?".

Faced with a non-functioning upstairs toilet and dripping old kitchen faucet with holiday guests on the way, I was grateful that Dave found time to help me. Once I purchased the necessary items, Dave kept me informed as to when he could come. He and his son went straight to the tasks. His son handled the upstairs issues: removal of old toilet and installing new one, connecting new smoke detector and new ceiling light. Dave tackled the kitchen faucet that, though Home Depot had suggested would be a 15-minute DIY job, was a challenge as after 35 years the nuts and bolts had fused together. Difficult to reach and immovable, Dave finally was able to drill through the nuts to extract the old faucet. Despite the discomfort and frustration, he kept up his sense of humor. So glad I hadn't attempted it myself! They were meticulous in clean up, and asked me to watch for leaks in case further tightening was needed. When a small leak occurred between the toilet base and tank, Dave responded quickly. I have many larger projects ahead which I discussed with Dave. He referred me to another company which specializes in tub-to-shower conversions, but I will call on him again when I am ready replace some doors and complete trim work. I look forward to using his services again.

It went well. He removed the toilet, ran the snake thru the drain and ran water to make sure the water wasn't backing up. Checked the drain in the bath tube and realized the stopper for the drain in the bath tube was broken. Replace the seal to the toilet and made sure it wasn't leaking

I called Anchorage Plumbing and Heating in the morning regarding a toilet repair emergency. They were at my house by noon and the plumber was EXCELLENT! The plumber, Ryan, was a real problem solver with energy and skills. He said at least three different times,”let me try this” and he worked very hard. When he fixed it we literally cheered! What a great worker from a long established, well respected local plumbing and heating company. This was not the first time I have hired Anchorage Plumbing and Heating, and their service has always been very good. I will always call them first from now on.
