Reviews in Big Lake for Insulation

Weatherize Alaska LLC
5.0
Installed a new vapor barrier and insulation in the crawl space. Sprayed foam installation into a cantilever under the master bedroom/bath. Cleaned and sealed HVAC duct work. Added insulation to the attic in home and garage. Insulated around chimney and fireplace. Conducted their own pre- and post-blow test. Caulked around window and door openings, plugged air flow from outlets. Their costs are on the higher end of average, but the rater confirmed they did great work. I noticed improvement in comfort immediately and am already realizing some savings on energy costs (even accounting for relatively mild winter this year).

Garage Doors of Alaska

Garage Doors of Alaska is an outstanding business. I called them after a garage door spring unexpectedly snapped on a 14-year old door. They came within a week and replaced both springs for a very reasonable $220 in less than 45 minutes of work time. They even added a beef-up plate to the center door connection point on our automatic opener (a DIY project several years prior) at no cost. This is a husband-wife run team and they are very knowledgeable, punctual, conscientious, and a pleasure to do business with. Because part of our garage is also used as a gym, I asked for door insulation recommendations. They said our door was rated R-13 (good for this area) but it would benefit from a brush weather seal on the outside. They were able to return the next business day and installed it in under half an hour for $90. They predict the seal will cut our garage gas heater usage in half. Don't hesitate to call them for repairs and I'm confident their installs will be as professional.
