I would recommend Phil Long and his team for any job any time. They spent nearly a year completely remodeling and refurbishing my house; and I mean completely! I now have new hickory kitchen cupboards and granite counter tops, tile throughout the house, two mosaics on the floor and one on my kitchen wall, freshly painted and patched walls, newly remodeled bathrooms, new roof, additional patio space, block and stucco wall in backyard, wheelchair ramp and reconstruction of front porch with additional flowerbed, new windows and doors, and other stuff I can't think of right off hand. They are friendly, hard working, creative and very talented. I recommend them highly.

Went well, manufacturer sent wrong parts to attach chair to lift and battery terminal was badly corroded. Done came up with several workarounds to enable me to use lift, and went to store to get parts to finish job, took far longer than mandufatures estimated, but Don finished to job and and price was reasonable. I would use him again.

Jason responded promptly to my request for a site visit and an estimate. He pointed out areas where existing joists and header boards were serviceable and which should be replaced. His estimate was the lower of the two I received, and I had confidence in his understanding of the job and my expectations. After making the deposit the work was scheduled within 2 weeks even though this was the period around Christmas. The work was begun a couple of days earlier than planned, with my approval, and completed in just over two days with three people on the job. After the existing deck had been removed, Jason showed me some of the ledger board was rotted in places that couldn't be seen with the deck in place. It was my call whether to replace a section of this and I asked him to do this. The extra cost was only $200. I am very pleased with the outcome. I have done some work like this myself in the past, and know what can be achieved by craftsmen who care. These guys do care. All of the deck boards are level, straight and evenly spaced. The cutoff ends are square and in line. I can't imagine how the job could be any better.

I cannot praise enough the professionalism, quality of work, and artistry of Larry Hume and all of the craftsmen he brought in to remodel our bathroom. He, and all of the subcontractors, did what they promised on time and within our agreed price. He created a functional shower for my handicapped husband, which has not only made the act of showering safe, but allowed the experience, which before renovation terrified both my husband and me, one that is now pleasant. Larry was even thoughtful enough to design storage within the shower to hold the various bottles and showering supplies, so they would be neat and off the floor. The handheld shower that was installed has a long, flexible hose, which facilitates my helping with showering. The shower controls were installed at the entrance to the shower, rather than under the shower head, which enables me to turn the shower on/off without getting wet or forcing my husband to be doused with cold water as we wait for the hot water to reach our bathroom. In addition to remodeling our shower, grab bars were installed in the bathroom to facilitate my husband's ability to get to the toilet. Changes were also made to the height of the threshold of my front door and ramps installed, which now allow us to roll a transport chair easily out the door. Finally, a 5 inch step at the end of our walkway was changed to a ramp, designed to blend in with the rest of the walkway and end in a way that was level. This was no easy feat because our driveway is on quite a slope. The work was done so well, it looks like it was always part of our walkway. And, my husband has gone from being a house prisoner to having the freedom to get out again. I would recommend Accessible Home Remodeling to anyone who is looking for a contractor with creativity, integrity, and connections with tradesmen who are all exceptional at what they do.

This company accomplished an amazing amount of work in very short space of time. Everything is beautiful! I would recommend Martin for any tile work you have - he is an artist. Actually, I would recommend this company every day of the week and twice on Sundays. They can do it all or know who to call for things they don't do.

The Sure Fix LLC

At the beginning of the week of July 9, 2012, I called A Sure Fix to have some repair work done on my home. I was advised by a member of the staff that the cost would be $45 an hour. I agreed to THAT price. I was told that Ray would be coming the following week, Thursday, July 19th between 3 and 5 pm. I gave the on phone staff member the list of issues that needed to be addressed and materials needed. On July 19th, I waited at home all afternoon for Ray to come. At five o’clock, he STILL hadn’t arrived. I called and was told that he was running late but would be there “soon”. At five thirty, he arrived with two other people and began the work. Ray stated that since he was running late, he needed to pick up an extra person to get done quicker. I didn’t want to be charged more because of his tardiness....not my financial responsibility that he was running late. Ray didn’t have the list, and no mesh to keep snakes out of the yard. What mesh was remaining, was pulled to make do. He was in a hurry and completed the work fast.It was time to pay Ray. The arrival time was 5:30.....finishing time was 6:40. He stated that it was $65 per hour. NOT SO!! As previously stated, I was advised by his staff on the phone that the fee was $45 per hour. ,Ray had the payment up to one hundred twenty dollars at the incorrect fee for a second hour not ten minutes. When all was said and done, I stood my ground and was charged $88 two dollars short of two hours at the rate I was told initially. Ray added that this has happened before with other customers. What a way to run a business! To me, this felt like a scam. From having Sure Fix arrive late and then overcharging me, I would not do business with A Sure Fix again.
