Recent Review: For years we had postponed the hassle and cost of replacing the aging (and oft-leaking) tile roof on our single-family home, but this year we decided, not without some trepidation, that it was finally time. Affordable Roofing was one of several providers from which we obtained quotes (all of which were very highly rated on Angie's List, or we wouldn't have considered them in the first place), and while all of these companies were as professional and courteous as one would expect from an Angie's List award winner, none of them could match the complete package of expertise, selection, service and value which Affordable brought to the table. Throughout the quoting process Affordable was represented by Mr. Brett Bischof, a consummate professional whom we met when he came to our house to introduce himself and the product lines and services offered by Affordable. (Affordable carries the full lines of what my own research had suggested are the two largest and highest-quality roofing material manufacturers in the country, with the best product guarantees, as well.) After a brief introduction and review of options, Mr. Bischof ascended the roof to take measurements in order to be able to give an accurate quote. He then returned to give us a chance to ask any questions (we'd been perusing the brochures he'd left with us in the meantime), and we took him at his word when he said he'd be happy to answer as many questions as we might have -- and we did have a barrel full of questions, despite having already been through the quoting process with a couple of other roofers. Whether he expected such a litany of questions or not, he never let on otherwise, but gave patient and thorough answers throughout, and sometimes more than once (for example, when we didn't understand one of the finer points of roofing technology, warranties, or compatible option combinations). Though we were impressed with Mr. Bischof and with Affordable's warranties and service record, we weren't about to rush into such a big-ticket purchase. Over the course of the next several weeks we placed a number of follow-up calls to Mr. Bischof (as well as to a couple of his competitors) for verification or clarification of details on materials, warranties, options and pricing, and he continued to surpass with his technical and industry knowledge and his easy but polite and focused manner. When the time came for the final decision, not only did Affordable offer the best deal in terms of price and value, but we simply had no qualms about Affordable (while others left us with a small doubt here or there), and our general impression was that Affordable would go the final yard, when others might not. As it turned out, our confidence in Affordable and Mr. Bischof was never let down in the doing. They came to do the job during the dates they said they would come; they arrived to the house when they said they'd be here; they took all the care they had promised to protect our property and our pets and (most importantly) our selves during the inherently dangerous process of removing the existing roof; and they cleaned up as they'd promised at the end of each day (including sweeping up and using a magnet to pick up the many nails which inevitably fall about during the demolition phase). Their team was polite and courteous and focused on their job, and at the start of each day one or two of the supervisors introduced themselves, let us know of their goals for the day and expected progress, and encouraged us to approach them at any time with any questions or concerns. They finished the job on time and cleaned our lanai, driveway, landscaping and gutters (including a final pass with the magnet for any stray nails), so that the next day you would never have known they'd been there. The first-class service continued even after the job had been effectively completed, with calls from Affordable to let us know the expected time-frame for the county inspector to come to make the final sign-off on the permit, as well as to let us know when to expect the visit from the shingle manufacturer, who would inspect for quality of installation in order to make the warranty official. Finally, a few weeks after the job we noticed the kind of pleasant surprise one doesn't expect from any service provider these days: free of charge, Affordable had replaced some rotted boards near the soffits at one corner of our house (under the eaves so not part of the roof replacement process); I'd mentioned them only off-hand and in passing (asking whether they might have rotted as a result of a previous roof leak near that spot), and never with any expectation that Affordable would replace them (gratis or otherwise). Surprises like that never go out of style. We wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Affordable Roofing, without reservation, and give them our highest rating.

Recent Review: Started with Ken the consultant that came out, He was VERY professional and kept us up to with all the happenings prior to install. Once the crew arrived it ONLY took a day and half from start to finish. they were very PROFESSIONAL and informed us as items needed to repaired. Recent Review: The work was started and completed on time. Ryan and James made sure to keep our home and furniture clean and safe all through the process. After the inspection was completed and satisfactory, Ryan returned to touch up all minor details he had noticed. Though we had a short list of concerns, he had taken care of all the items before we even mentioned them. Over all from the start of the process, ordering the doors from Chip and Courtney, through the installation, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Recent Review: Avery Construction replaced everything in my living room. It was stripped down to bare walls & floors because of a mold issue. They had to remove my sliding glass doors & fix / replace everything. They also found that there was no insulation in my ceiling - so we ended up ripping that down too. He took out my hardwood floors (that were destroyed by the mold) and replaced it with tile - so they had to level the floor & prep it for the tile - then lay the tile for me. Their work was amazing & I was impressed with how clean they are! For so much work being done in that one room, I really didn't have much to clean up at all! We also had a leaking deck on my 2nd floor above the room with the mold. This was probably the cause of the mold - - - but they had to strip off the old deck & wrap around some kind of flooring that will make it so it won't leak in the future. While doing this, they had to remove my old railing (which was about to fall down anyway) - and replace the railing around my 2nd floor deck. We also had some minor other things that needed to be fixed according to my insurance company. I had just switched insurance companies - and after I signed on the dotted line, they came back to me with a laundry list of things that needed to be done in 2 weeks. Avery Construction was able to fit me in so that I was not cancelled by my insurance company. I am so thankful they were able to get it all done in the short time frame the insurance company gave me! This included a handrail be added to my deck that ran the length of my house - as well as a handrail being added to the steps of a storage shed because It has more than 3 steps up to it. Avery was able to make this all happen when other companies wouldn't have been able to get around to my job until a few weeks past my deadline. They also had to replace some of the T-11 (siding) around my house. My lawn guys had let the vines grow a little too much on my house. When we had that all removed (per the request of the insurance company) - we learned that some of the vines had somehow gotten behind the T-11 & were pushing it out from the house - causing it to decay & create a possible leak situation. Avery removed the damaged T-11 & replaced what was needed. I had full faith in their crew. Even gave them a key to my house & moved out while all of this was being done. It took almost 3 weeks for everything to be completed. I could have moved back in at the half way point - but I figured it was easier for them to work without me there. I'm usually very over protective of my house - always turing on the alarm when I get home & as I leave - but with Avery Construction, I felt I could trust them with everything & not have to worry about a thing. I feel so lucky to have found them - and to have them guiding me through this process that was not something I had planned to do right away. They were able to turn what should have been a negative experience - into a positive. I love my living room now - more than I did before! Laying the tile & painting the walls a color - totally opened up the room & I actually enjoy sitting in there more now than I did before. Everything happens for a reason - as long as you have the right people on your side. I feel very lucky to have had Avery Construction on my side & will for sure use them for other projects as well! :)

Recent Review: Everything went great! The project took about 2 weeks. The old tar/gravel roof was removed and a new metal roof was installed on 3/4 of the house. The other 1/4 required TPO since it was a completely flat area. A lot of the old wood had to be replaced due to the age and termite activity. Flashing up around the chimney is holding up great and a part of my old rainwater collection gutter system was even reinstalled on the new roof. The fascia and soffit looks great too. We've been through 5-6 rain storms already and there has been no leaks. The wood around the garage was replaced and then the whole thing was wrapped in vinyl for a clean look. Two end features on the peak of the house were wrapped as well and it made the house look very clean and neat. As for cleanup, for the most part all went well. As can be expected, a few old roofing nails were found, but not that many. A few short pieces of metal roofing and a few leftover panels were left behind as well as a bag of screws. (We made a shed with them) Overall we were very satisfied. Other roofing companies we called were quoting us $18-20K without the addition of the extra wood and the cost of the fascia/soffit or the garage repair.

Recent Review: Karoly was top notch from estimation thru installation. Very professional and excellent workmanship. Having been in construction for most of my life, I was very observant of how the installation went, how the windows and doors looked after, how they operated and how the crew worked together, how efficient they were and how well they cleaned up after themselves. All of the above was A+. We had been warned to expect a lot of dust everywhere and to cover everything, That was not the case with Karoly. The crew minimized that by using fans and the methods they used during the demolition phase of removing our old windows. County inspectors were pleased with installation and all passed with no issues. We are quite pleased with the windows and especially that we chose Karoly as our contractor. We got 5 quotes and sales pitches before choosing them. A+ rating is well deserved!

I had searched for a contractor to install siding for a long time, but never found one that gave me the sense they would take the time to do it right. That is, until I found John Anderson. They maintain excellent communication throughout the project, ensure their install team meets customer expectations, and deliver a quality job that looks great! I highly recommend them.

Recent Review: Wow! I can't say enough good things about Genesis! Walter and Matt were great communicators. The quote was detailed as I asked (other contractors didn't do this). The price was right where I expected it to be and a couple of additions (one new window installation and some interior drywall repair) were quite reasonably priced. The workers were very courteous and professional. They were always on time or informed me ahead of time about schedule changes. In fact, they were so good, I subcontracted them to install a new roof and that job went as smoothly as the siding project. I heartily recommend them!
