MR. KINNEY DID NOT COMPLETE THE WORK HE CONTRACTED WITH ME TO DO. HE WALKED OUT ON THE JOB, EVEN THOUGH HE WAS PAID FOR THE ENTIRE CONTRACT. MR. KINNEY ONLY PARTIALLY PAINTED A FEW OF THE ROOMS. HE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO PREP, REPAIR WALLS, OR PAINT. BASICALLY, HE DID A VERY BAD JOB AND THEN WALKED OUT WHEN WE REFUSED TO PAY HIM MORE MONEY. I HAVE TO SUE HIM TO GET MY MONEY BACK.

Trying to do a large Renovation of a mountain house in Waynesville when we live in Florida isn't a easy task unless you have the right people helping - From the first call and through the first project and on to the second and third, Tomas was very easy to work with and reliable - Came when he said he would - called when he had questions - shared pictures along the way - made helpful suggestions - and all affordable even for the "mountain prices" ! When I thought I needed gutters cleaned - he looked - sent a pic and when I said lets do it - it was done that day. They did a good job. They had a lot to do with building it up. They had to use a jackhammer to install metal panels and built the wall up. They installed wood blocks for the sea wall. It looks good!

DA COSTA COSTRUCTION
I do not normally write reviews but there are those exceptions where people go above and beyond. Everyone i spoke to were weeks out on their schedule, and this was also a small job. Opening about 4 feet wide and about 9-11 inches tall. Spoke to Fernando yesterday and he was able to find some time and come out and do the work and complete it today. Did a great job. Very personable. Will hire again as needed and also will recommend to neighbors and friends. I am very happy with the work and the professionalism. He was very nice and work performed was done very well. Thanks Fernando!

DA COSTA COSTRUCTION
I spoke to mr Da Costa on Friday to get an estimate to reduce a standing porch surrounding wall to about a 1/3 height. The wall was well constructed building block, poured concrete header and electrical connections for wall power and outside lighting. We agreed on the work to be performed and he and his helper appeared promptly at 8:15 Saturday morning. By 5:00 the top portion the wall was demolished, new block enlays had been installed in previous gate locations, and the stucco well applied. The work was done very quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend Mr Da Costa for any masonry work related to wall repair and/or construction. Very easy to talk to, good pricing, prompt, and professional.

Excellent job and competitive price. Retaining wall was structurally engineered to meet City of Grapevine requirements, the process went smooth with Rudy,engineer and city inspector. Rudy also was able to accommodate my LED light request mid build to illuminate the columns of the wall. What an amazing job and cleanups after each day on the project. He will be coming back this Spring to remove and replace the railroad ties in my backyard to match the Milsap Sandstone he did on front wall.

Can not say enough good things about this company. From the beginning to the end of this big project, Kelby was simply fantastic. Professional, talented, accommodating, friendly and fun to work with. He took my rough vision, and created a beautiful design. The video he developed let me envision exactly what the landscaping; pavers; new trees, retaining wall and new lawn would look like. And the end product looked exactly like the design. This company is obviously very well led. They overlook nothing and ensure complete customer satisfaction. One sign of a truly great company is the sub-contractor they work with. The owner Mike, clearly works with nobody but the best. From the guy who tore up the driveway and made paths for the pavers, to the guys who installed the pavers and the retaining wall, to the guys who installed the sprinkler system and the new sod -- they seriously could not have been better. You can tell real professionals who take pride in their work, and it is clear that Mike hires no one but the best. This was a big project. Every step of the way, I felt I was working with the best of the best, and their work and the final outcome validates that.

Brock who goes out & does the estimates (but not the actual work) was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He was thorough in giving me specific names and addresses of people whose roofs they have recently replaced in our development, so that I could go and look at the work in person. He showed me all their certifications and awards. When I mentioned that the prices he gave me for the roofing alone were above what we could afford, in order to lower the roofing price, he put together several packages that combined roofing and other repairs. This still made the offers much more than we could afford and we turned them down. They appear to have a "monopoly" in our area of town. I might consider using the construction portion of their company for the other home repairs that are needed, but they need to be more open to negotiating their costs or they may lose more customers.
