Recent Review: The demolition of the bathroom and fireplace was handled in an extraordinarily neat and orderly way. Plastic was put up to section off the house and keep the dust down, and at the end of every day Billy vacuumed the entire area. Because of the way Dean and Billy resurfaced the area above and around the fireplace, it is very easy to see where we are getting water in.... and (after the leak is fixed) rebuilding a new fireplace will be their next job with me! The new wall section in the dining room is a perfect match to the existing knock-down texture on the rest of the wall, the beam looks like it was always there, ....and my new bathroom is simply gorgeous in spite of one problem. Since I was on a very tight schedule, Dean hired a sub-contractor to do the tile work in the bathroom while he did the demolition of the fireplace. In the end, the tile work was not up to my expectations, nor to the standards of Alfonsi Construction. Dean had the tile guy come back to review what was done, and it was agreed that corrections will be made. Alfonsi Construction stands behind everything they do, and I know they will make it right. If I had not been on such a tight schedule, Dean and Billy would have done the tile work ....and I know, based on everything else they did, that then it would have been perfect. The electrician and plumber were also subcontracted out, and they did an excellent job. Alfonsi Construction went above and beyond all expectations. They arrived on time (or even a little early) everyday and worked until they finished what needed to get done. At the end of each day, Dean would walk me through what was accomplished, and what the plan of action would be for the next day. On top of all of this, Dean and Billy are two of the most personable tradesmen I've ever hired. It's not possible to overstate how important it is to have pleasant contractors who obviously enjoy their work come to your home and do a job as you envisioned it. I highly recommend Alfonsi Construction, and will be using them again in the future.

Recent Review: We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted, but Jack discussed various ideas and options with us. His estimate was very detailed and competitive. They took care of all the permitting, which can be challenging in Pinellas county. The crew always cleaned up each day before they left. They always made sure the house was closed up and secure at night even after they'd cut big holes in the wall. We were in constant communication, so I felt like I was a part of the process and there were no surprises. Ryan did most of the work, sometimes with a helper. It's obvious that he truly cares about the quality of the work that he does. I didn't feel like he cut any corners or skimped on anything. He even put some extra reinforcing in the wall because he knew we were going to hang a large TV. Colin did the woodworking for the mantle and surround. We had numerous pictures and hand-drawn diagrams of what we wanted. He worked with us to integrate all that into the final vision. And he nailed it. The mantle is fantastic. Their attention to detail is superb. The tile we chose is a 1"x3" herringbone that was shipped from out of state and arrived with lots of little broken tiles. Those two spent an entire day replacing each damaged little piece with a good one so the hearth is perfect. I know people like to say they couldn't be happier, but in our case it's true. The finished product is exactly what we wanted and provided the room with a much-needed makeover. When we remodel our master bath in the next couple years, these guys will be on the top of our list.

Recent Review: James is such a nice person aside from being great at his profession. The interior of the fireplace looks brand new. Freshly painted and repaired. I could see the chimney cap as I drove down the street and was absolutely amazed at how wonderful it looked. He installed it and repaired the wood around the chimney and painted the whole thing to match. Also replaced the damper and vent. We absolutely would hire James again and recommend him to my friends who require his services. So nice to find an honest contractor who does what they say, on time and at a fair price. Thank you James for the excellent job..

Recent Review: This was my first experience having major renovations done to our home and we were very apprehensive after hearing so many contractor horror stories. We scheduled an appointment with Jason and he arrived on time and immediately put us at ease with his demeanor. He was the third contracting company we had gotten a quote from. He wasn't the cheapest but we felt most confident with him. This turned out to be the right decision. The gentlemen that did the work were Fariz (Speedy) and Nick. I couldn't be happier with the work they performed. They were on time everyday, polite, hard working, careful with our belongings, and left the house as clean and neat as possible everyday before they left. The new floors look amazing! As does the fireplace. The job took a bit longer than what was proposed but they were there everyday working on the project and I never felt abandoned. Not to mention, the quality of the work that was being performed was worth waiting a little longer. The project manager, Keith, was extraordinary as well. He would check in regularly to check on the progress and help answer any questions. The final product is just stunning. It looks like a totally different house now. So would I recommend these guys? Oh yeah. I'd hire them again in an instant.

Recent Review: Install was a bit difficult due to the fact that our gas couplings were frozen up (not the installer's issue). However, I am happy to say that the installer did an excellent job of not only installing our new heater but replacing the frozen couplings. He did a great job. On time, professional, courteous, efficient, and reasonable cost. I have not reservations about recommending this business.

Recent Review: My new kitchen is absolutely perfect, so very pretty and easy to work in now. It used to be cramped, hot, and dark, with the sink and range in the wrong place, making it a very awkward cooking space. But no longer! We redesigned the entire space, tore down a wall, put in all new cabinets, counters, and backsplash, new lighting, built in the microwave and installed a real range hood vented to the outside. Now the kitchen does not get hot even after cooking all afternoon. We interviewed at least eight home remodeling companies, and Oldja won out because of their careful attention to listening to what we wanted, the detailed design drawings that showed exactly where everything would be placed in our reworked floor plan, and the showroom where we could actually see and compare cabinets and countertops when making our selections. The crew was very skilled and organized, easy to work with, and we never had a moment’s worry about the quality of the work. They showed up every day for the five weeks of demolition and construction. They cleaned up at the end of every work day. Their attention to detail in trim fitting and finish work was expert. Part of this project was replacing the flooring and baseboard trim in the entire first floor, extending out to our lanai floor also. The crew cleaned the floor down to the concrete, removing both old tile and an unfortunate dark and depressing wood floor. Then Tom the tile installer did a fabulous job on the new porcelain floor. He also completely replaced our fireplace facade with new tile.
