I could not have asked for a better experience than I had with Midstate. From the beginning of the process of getting estimates and finding the "right" company to go with to install a furnace, humidifier, and tankless water heater, Midstate stood out. It was important to me to use a smaller company. I like supporting smaller businesses. I don't like using big companies, where you are just a number, and if problems arise the company doesn't care and the company won't stand behind its product or its work. (That is my own past personal experience talking). I wanted my business appreciated because spending thousands of dollars is a big deal to me. Also, I was reassured because it was clear that Midstate had been in the business for a while and would continue to be in the business in the future. Most importantly, when I looked over the Angie's List reviews, it was clear that customer service and satisfaction were important to the company. When I put feelers out to various companies I researched on Angie's List to get estimates, Midstate contacted me first, worked with my schedule, and came very quickly. Eric was the rep who worked with us. He showed up on time. He spent over an hour with me explaining all of my options. He was very considerate and patient. Never made me feel dumb with any questions. Didn't talk down to the "little woman." Was very respectful. Never tried to push me to one choice or another. Just gave me all of the information I needed to make an informed decision. He was personable and talking to him did not feel like he was trying to make a sale. After getting other estimates, I liked Midstate the best. Midstate worked with me on pricing when the other estimates I received came in lower. I am very grateful for that. It would have been hard giving someone else my business when I felt less confident in the others, but money is money. Anyway, they were able to very quickly get to me. On the day of the scheduled install, one of the technicians was in a car accident on the way to my house(luckily, he was okay!). Instead of rescheduling, Midstate worked things around to send another technician to me so as not to inconvenience me. I was blown away by that dedication to service. Pat and another gentlemen (I'm sorry, I cannot remember his name) came to do do the install of the furnace. They were very careful about not making a mess. They were also very nice, very personable. Pat kept me informed throughout the process of what they were doing, how the job was going. Eric came when he finished another job to assist with the tankless water heater installation. They all stayed late to get the job done and did excellent work. They cleaned up after themselves so well. When it was discovered that a part was missing (it had been with the driver who had been in an accident), they were apologetic (there was no need to be). Soon after, Eric came by another day (that worked best for my schedule) to install the missing part. Pat and Eric were both wonderful and patient in taking me through my new furnace, humidifier, and tankless water heater and educating me on what I need to do with them. Whenever I called Eric throughout this process, he promptly responded to me. Obviously, spending a chunk of money on a furnace, humidifier, and a tankless water heater is a bit daunting, but it was very reassuring working with Midstate and seeing Midstate's commitment to customer satisfaction.
