We are happy with the system so far and with overall sales / installation process done by Surge. However, I ranked the company B rather than A because of the following two reasons: 1. We had an agreement with Surge that at the end of the installation, we are going to have two separate spigots in the kitchen think: one for soft treated water and one for hard water. However, when the plumber showed up for the job and I was walking through the steps to be performed, I learned that they planned on using a cheap plastic pipe for the hard water (a tiny pipe - the one they use in reverse osmosis systems). The pipe would give us an inferior flow and, at best, would serve for 5-10 years before eventually breaking up... It is not supposed be used for hard water. When I asked Surge to have a regular pipe installed, they could not accommodate my request. In the end, we decided not to install the plastic pipe with Surge and will be going with another company to complete the plumbing for hard water. Surge decided not to adjust the price even though less amount of work was performed. 2. Surge performed the installation very quickly but they forgot to bring the cap for our salt tank and could not hall our old water softener away at the day of installation. We had to schedule another appointment 2 weeks later to have the job completed.
