During our basement remodeling project, we got ourselves into a bind with scheduling when we discovered that our heating vents had to be rerouted prior to framing walls etc... Brian Rickert was referred to us by a common business acquaintence so we gave him a call. He went out of his way to make sure that the work that we needed done didn't require us to change any of our other plans or our schedule. We have an older house with low ceilings and he made sure that his work provided the the maximum head clearance that was available. He had a special boot fabricated that really made the difference. He also discovered a furnace exhaust vent that had a routing restriction ("T" instead of a "Y") that could have caused carbon monoxide to backup through our water heater. The exhaust venting was also not connected securely to the vent pipe going to the roof. We are very happy that we called someone that didn't just do what we asked but he did everything that needed to be done. Great job Brian and thanks

I really wanted to give this company a good review. Unfortunately, due to what I believe to be laziness on their part the job was not done correctly and I got stuck with the bill. They gave me a quote to add 3 vents to my upper half story including 1 return and 2 supplies. They didn't do measuring or look into the city code prior to the quote or the work, they gave me other options such as an independent system and expected me to choose the other options. The two employees started opening walls without proper measuring and planning for where all three were going to go. Long story short I ended up with two large extra holes my walls and only 2 supplies (instead of the 2 supplies and 1 return as quoted). They did not follow code and the inspector had to come back extra times. They attempted to make it right but when I asked them to discount because they could only give me 2 instead of 3 they stated they couldn't because of all the extra work. It was completely their fault there was any extra work in the first place! I got stuck paying the whole thing because they threatened to not sign the lien release. They have horrible customer service and are terrible at keeping the customer updated on the status of the job.

Paul (and his helper, Paul!) moved a heating vent for us from the wall to the floor to prepare for a patio door installation on that wall. The estimate was reasonable (about what our door contractor said it should be to move the vent) and they called the day before to confirm the appointment and were finished sooner than expected. All in all, exactly what we needed done and would not hesitate to call them in the future for other jobs.

We called for an estimate and they were able to come within a few days. Their quote was fair and they ended up charging a bit less than that. The gentleman who installed the vents was punctual and professional and the work was done quickly. I would recommend them and would use them for any future projects.

During a kitchen remodel, we knocked out several walls eliminating heating chases and cold air return vents. I panicked when I realized what I had done...it meant none of the upstairs bedrooms would get heat, let alone the kitchen! To get heat and cold air returns back into each of our revamped locations we were counting on St. Marie to do a miracle...and they did. They made the most difficult ductwork seem like a breeze, running them through our last remaining walls and under toe kicks of cabinets. It was an engineering marvel! 3 heats 3 returns. We will use them every time we have a remodel project.

I think okay. They didn't put a heat vent in the furnace and didn't remove the old humidifier, but when we called they promptly came out to resolve these issues. I was pleased, and though we got bids for lower felt good about using them.

They were extremely professional, courteous and competent. They arrived on time, were very responsive to the questions I had and left the space very clean. We inquired about removing a heating vent in our living room and they did so, no charge. Great experience and great company!

Business Description: We get it. Heating and cooling isn't glamorous. It's not high-interest for most people. You should be interested in the quality of the service and equipment, but it is often hard to navigate all the new technology and information out there on the subject. More than anything, you need a company you can trust. We at Bloomington Heating & Air Conditioning could tell you how trustworthy we are. We could tell you that we've been serving Bloomington and its surrounding communities for over 25 years and we have a great reputation and do great work. We can say and believe whatever we want, but every heating and cooling dealer pretty much says the same thing. That's why we felt we should let our customers do the talking. After all, most of our work comes from referrals – word of mouth. Take a look at our site, some of the positive customer testimonials we've received through the years, and then make the decision who you should call to take care of your furnace and air conditioner. We look forward to hearing from you. Additional DBA - Bloomington Heating & Air Conditioning Inc.
