Terrible. They didn't know how to run the machine to re-texture the ceiling. The texture is inconsistent, there are cracks, the paint is streaky.

When we realized the ceiling was worse than thought at first, he was honest and did not charge me, even though he had been to our home twice. He arrived on-time. Handled patching of the wall pretty quickly. The ceiling had bowed from the water leakage, plus covered with popcorn. He re-secured the ceiling to the joists, painted and patched as needed. The difficulty was dealing with a popcorn ceiling and trying to make the repair blend in. That was a difficult task and not 100% successful, but certainly much improved over the staining and sagging of the ceiling board

Excellent, I strongly believe no one in the Twin Cities or State of Minnesota is more talented and Professional than Todd and Dan's Crew. I was so impressed by some previous work performed by Shelton's Painting, I hired them to scrape the popcorn off of my ceilings. The end result.....My ceilings look flawless. I have been in other homes where the same type of work was done and I can see some imperfections. Todd, Dan and their crew will make sure you do not see any. Not only did they Scrape the ceilings to perfection they also repaired and even re-taped many areas that had not been done properly and were covered up with the popcorn texture. I had 2 water spots on the ceiling from the previous owners of the house and Shelton Painting removed both of them. When the ceiling was originally installed, there were some areas were the ceiling drywall had not been taped. Shelton Painting recognized this and repaired the issue as well as many other small repair issues at no extra cost. What was even more impressive, Dan one of the owners came out to the residence after hours and visibly inspected the job performed and made any necessary repairs to make sure the ceiling looked flawless. This type of job can be extremely messy, however Todd, Dan and their crew made sure everything was protected and cleaned, leaving the area the same as it was before the job began. Amber came out and set up a nice color scheme that worked well for my needs. Todd's crew was there for a couple of days, they showed up ten minutes early each day, and Todd made regular stops to supervise the progress. The end result looked great

They had great ideas and suggestions for how we could use the space and accomplish our objectives for the area - far better than any of the other contractors we talked to. Not only that, Paul was willing to reuse the old hall closet door and a few other of the original items that were salvageable, which made the finished product blend with the rest of our older home. The project went well. The job took a bit longer than expected, but I've found that that's usually par for the course when it comes to working with contractors. Kurt was very nice to deal with and was very understanding with any frustration I may have had. Dave, the carpenter, was also a very nice person to deal with and was a very good carpenter. The painters did a great job and were very neat in cleaning up after they were done. Everything that this company did turned out beautifully

Kurt and Chris did a super job. When I called Kurt the first time, his message suggested texting him our info. which I did. He responded within a couple of hours and set up appointment the next day at which he arrived promptly. Newday bid was higher than but another but we appreciated the fact that as owner, he did all the work with his partner Chris. The estimating process was exceedingly thorough. Excellent communicators both. We had planned to go on vacation while the painting was going on (3 weeks) and noted that other reviewers had trusted Newday without issues. This was a big plus. I think we had at least three meetings over a week to draft a comprehensive and detailed scope of work contract and color / finish selection. Kurt kept us apprised of the progress by text and phone. When we arrived home, the job was complete and beautifully done. The house was clean. Drop cloths covered the furniture to protect from dust. A difficult ceiling repair was done so well it was impossible to see any sign of the previous water damage. There were two issues. 1) My wife was unhappy with her color selection in hall and stairway. 2) The paint in the man cave proved defective. The day after we got home (labor Day) Kurt called to see how we liked the job. We explained the issues and made an appointment with them for the next day. After discussion, we elected to have them repaint the hall and stairway in a different color at our expense. Newday agreed to re-prep and then repaint the basement using a different paint at no charge. We expected that this would be done over the next week or two but they insisted on starting the next day. By the end of the week, both issues were corrected. The charge for repainting the stairway and hall was minimal. We are very satisfied customers. We will use Newday again and highly recommend them to others

He came prepared with a heavy-duty junction box (in case it was needed), heavy duty hooks and links to swag the fixture (that he had already painted to match), and scaffolding. Vlad is a talented handyman. He cleaned & repaired gutters. Replaced our damaged window with a beautiful glass block. Tore out wet damaged sheetrock. Replaced new sheetrock, wanes coating, trim, matching wall paint color perfectly. Additional ceiling sheetrock repaired from another water leak. The ceiling matches perfectly. Talented & willing handyman. My husband has dementia, and is no longer able to complete these repairs we had adding up around our older home. We had our toilet plug, he responded with yes I can take care of it. Several window cranks needed to be replaced. Vlad bought parts required & replaced these as well. My initial consultation was for storm damage, gutters, window well & interior sheetrock repair. He gave me an estimate for the big construction. While he was here he was so awesome to add these other smaller repairs. I have a few more projects to tackle & Reliable Handyman, Vlad will be who I reach out to for my future repairs. Chuck did a good job. I did not ask for prices up front, so that was my mistake, but Chuck charged by the item rather than by the hour. He was here for 2 hours and charged $340.00. I feel $170 an hour to be very high. Chuck also did not clean up after himself which was very frustrating. I found garbage everywhere. One item I had him do was to add salt to the water softener. The empty bag was left on the floor, right next to the garbage can
