Randy's Electric
5.0
Jeremy arrived on time with a neat and professional manner. I did purchased an Angie's Deal $90 for a ceiling fan or vanity light, because I was not confident in moving a slim box over on top of a stud. The Deal was very smooth and fairly priced and I was extremely satisfied. Jeremy also furnished 3 Cree LED bulbs for the vanity light, bulbs I was going to select for myself at a value of $20.. Randy's waived their trip charge, I assume because I expressed that I needed other work done. I also needed a bath vent fan and a new GFCI receptacle. The bid was made and I thought it was too high but The Hubby convinced me to continue on and get it done. Jeremy would not install the Utilitech 80cfm 2 sone fan I had purchased, and called for a courier to bring a Panasonic 80 CFM .3 sone; the benefit is a lifetime warranty, of which I reluctantly agreed. He cut the ceiling hole and installed the fan in record time, and also the new wire to the double rocker switch I had provided with the GFCI on the side of the 2-gang box. He had also called (and bid) for an assistant, but there was none available. That being the case, I did assist pulling wires and removed tile myself. The GFCI receptacle, of course, needed a dedicated wire to the circuit panel, about 40 feet of wire in an unfinished easy access basement. This was done in 20 minutes. Jeremy was extremely focused on performing precision, quality work and I could see that he is an excellent electrician. Clean up was okay. I am not too picky, to save time. When the dust settled, and after I had paid, I saw what it was that I was uncomfortable with on the initial bid/ billing: $359 to install a 4inch insulated duct on the bath vent (which was $35 materials and 20 minutes of time) with 2 cable ties and tape to an already existing roof cap! I contacted Randy's Electric the next day and we discussed the day's events and Randy's Electric adjusted the price down $225. Overall the work looks beautiful, the work, I feel confident that it was done perfectly. The breakdown: GFCI on new circuit $744, Bath vent fan install with wire to switch $847 ( does not include duct or roof cap install ), Vanity light Angie's Deal $90 , Insulated duct $359 - $225 (negotiated price adjustment) = $134. With the price adjustment, the furnished light bulbs, and waived tip charge the Grand total was $1850, time 5 hours includes the bath fan and duct, and all wire. Quality work... A tad high priced, can't skimp on electrical work

These were little things, but had caused inconvenience. The bath fan was completely broken and out of date, yet the repair person was able to use existing housing, so there was no damage to ceiling plaster. The light for the deck was tricky to say the least. He worked very quickly and competently and was happy to answer our questions. He gave us advice and respected our desire to keep costs to a minimum. Problems were all taken care of and everything has worked well since

It went well, I was impressed with the work. He came prepared to install an exhaust fan far exceeding what I needed. After looking at the job and determining that I could use a fan far less expensive and would do the job just as well. He made a special trip to the store and purchased the less expensive fan and installed. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism

THE CREW WAS ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL AND DID A QUALITY JOB. THE ONLY PROBLEM WE HAD IS THAT ONE OF THE BATH FANS WAS DEFECTIVE AND DID NOT WORK PROPERLY RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. THE CREW CAME BACK TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE FAN, BUT NOT UNTIL ABOUT 3 WEEKS AFTER THE INITIAL INSTALLATION. THEY SAID THAT A NEW FAN HAD TO BE ORDERED. I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THE DEFECTIVE FAN COULDN'T BE REPLACED SOONER

Jesse came out and gave us an estimate--very knowledgable, professional, and courteous. Estimate was middle of 3 obtained. Scheduling with the office was easy and they got back to me right away. Dave came out on time to do the work on one of the hottest days--90 plus degrees and got started right away. He was very self-sufficient, professional, and friendly. Finished earlier than projected, went over everything with me, and even swept the stairs. Both fans were done neatly and look great. We won't hesitated to call them again for other electrical projects in the future

Everything was done according to plan. Joe was very efficient and knows his trade very well, other than the overall price being kind of a sticker shock for me, I would say the work done was very satisfactory. I would definitely recommend Randy's to any of my friends in need of electrical work.

Joe Dupay did some terrific troubleshooting to determine why several light fixtures in an area were not working. You could tell he was knowledgeable, competent, and experienced. It was almost fun watching him as he pinpointed the problem. He determined that two of relatively-new matching fixtures were defective and, by mere coincidence, a vintage fixture in the same area died around the same time. After seeing his skills and how efficiently he worked, I began to add to the list of requests. Before he left, he replaced a total of three light fixtures and the bath exhaust fan, repaired a vintage fixture, and added a new GFI outlet in the bathroom. He was good-natured and explained everything as he worked (without a hint of condescension). I have no reservations about recommending him to others and will definitely use him again

I have used Troy at Signature Electric for work in both my home and in some apartment buildings I own for the last 4 years. They are on time, prompt, responsive and clean. There pricing is fair. They have done everything from installing fixtures, ceiling fans, bath fans, upgrade electric service and rewire a house. They also have good ideas on what might look good as well. Very happy

jay and Crew did a great job. Easy to schedule project communicate answered questions about other potential priojects. i will use them again. thanks
It was great working with Tommy and his crew on our rewiring project in an older home. They were such friendly and considerate and hard working guys! They did a wonderful job of cleaning up before they left each day. I really appreciated the detailed and transparent billing of time and materials. Such integrity is rare these days. I will call them again if we need electrical work in the future
Jay Dalum responded almost immediately to my inquiry. Unfortunately he was “slammed” with work during my narrow time frame and unable to bid on my project. He did recommend a reputable competitor. Jay was one of only two Twin Cities electricians - out of 12 total - that responded to my inquiry. The other one got and did the job
It all went well. One ceiling fan went in our living room which there was not current fixture or wiring for so they ran wire for it and hung brackets and box accordingly. The other ceiling fan was simply a replacement so they took down the old and installed the new one. The lighting fixture they installed was also just a simple replacement to update from the old one but was in the main entry way to the split level home so had to work on a tall ladder to reach. The door bell was simply a replacement from old to new. Also ran wire for outlet for bedroom tv. The biggest challenge for them was running cable tv through interior walls to wire up cable in the places we wanted. They had to "fish" the cable in creative ways to get all the outlets set up the way we wanted them. Everything worked out great and I would use them again. Team of 2 guys about a day and half to complete. The longest aspect was running cable line for the TV's since the home didn't have any current cable tv outlets
They did a great job. The only thing I would have changed is that, if I had know that on the highest speed the chains rattle, I would have asked if there was a way to prevent that.
Was very professional asked, made sure the fans were installed where and how I wanted them. The only thing that was a negative for me was that he did not have enough tarps to place on the floor under the work area.
Nick and his crew are outstanding! We had six rental properties at one time and he did work at all of them. Plus our own house. He did electrical for remodeling, replaced 3 different panels. He even came out in the middle of the night and replaced a faulty circuit breakers in a not-so-nice part of town. Pricing is great, he is personable and a hard worker. I love this guy
I was in Florida and my son called me and stated it was 40 degrees in my house. I called this company and they were out the next day and replaced my heater. It was a huge relief, especially being out of town. It was such relief to have Angie's List available. Everything was seemless for me. It was taken care of quickly. I would recommend them to anybody
Chad was a pleasure to work with - he was prompt, fast, easygoing and did everything right. We gave us good suggestions about how to layout the lights and we are very pleased with the overall result.
They did an excellent job and cleaned up well. They also brought in an extra crew so all the work was finished in one day. I passed inspection by Xcel Energy and got a rebate!
They really did a good job. We had used them before the last service and they are really good for ceiling fan. Our overall experience was excellent and we will definitely use them in the future.
We used them to move to our current location. They could have been more careful because some of the furniture they moved was damaged, but the crew that came worked very hard.
They did a great job and were easy to work with. Their staff is professional, performed within the designated schedule and submitted paperwork in a timely fashion. We use them regularly because they are a great reflection of our company.
