Kurt and his crew did a LOT of work on my house this summer. The first project was an interior painting project that expanded to include new crown moulding, custom window trim, and baseboards throughout the living and dining areas. I had expected that I would have to hire someone else to do the carpentry work, but Home Transformations has a terrific carpenter--I worked with him and with Kurt to choose the style and appearance of the architectural details I was going for (I have a historic, cottage-style home and I wanted a look that was faithful to the pedigree of the house). It turned out beautifully. The quality of the work, both carpentry and painting, was even better than I had expected, and the result really was, dare I say it, a Home Transformation. It looks amazing. The exterior paint project involved removing a good bit of mold that had accumulated on my cedar siding. As an added bonus, Kurt's team also spray cleaned my decking in front and in back at no extra charge. How nice it is to be pleasantly surprised by something like that! The finished exterior paint looks great, too. Careful and thorough work throughout. Others have commented on Kurt himself, and I agree that he is a delight to work with: punctual, good communication, responsive to needs, and dedicated to making his customers happy. Outstanding. Tim was professional, punctual and very skilled. We couldn't be happier. We had to wait a few months to get the work done because he was very busy. However, I had received quotes from many other carpenters and even tried to hire a few (prices changed or they didn't follow through). At the quote, he was very thorough and detailed. His price was reasonable and he was upfront about his schedule. I was comfortable with the wait for what I thought was a craftsman. I was right. Well worth the wait. Original project estimate included replacing countertops, fixing pocket door, and refinishing cabinets and mouldings. Total cost was $300 in labor for countertops, $300 labor and materials for pocket door and $650 in labor and materials for woodwork. We opted not to replace the countertops when we found we would be unable to put in a new cooktop (custom venting issues). The total for the remaining work was $950. We paid a deposit of $200 on Feb. 18 and $1,000 on March 15. This was paid as a deposit on the counter top order which had to be canceled. Because of the excess payment, I asked for a new sink to be installed thinking we would come out even. It is May 15. The job has not been completed to my satisfaction. After numerous re-schedulings, no-shows and poor excuses, John finally returned and installed my remaining cabinetry but refused to do the sink. He raised by bill by $420 for added materials and labor which we had never discussed. I paid him to just get out of my home

Dmitry was referred to us by Anton of Anton's Floorcovering. Dmitry has done a beautiful job of crown moulding staining and color matching to our existing kitchen cabinets. He installed crown moulding on the master bathroom linen closet at no extra charge! The entryway coat rack cubby shelf is a piece of art! The quality of worksmanship is great! He custom designed it to our needs and specifications and color matched to our trim. He did some extra work with no hesitation and extra charge. Dmitry is a friendly person to work with. Attention to detail is impressive. We highly recommend Dmitry and would hire him in a heart beat for our future projects

We called Steve to step in and help with a project that we realized we did not have the skill or time for. We had removed all the baseboards and door trim in a room that we were preparing for the arrival of our first baby. After attempting to replace it ourselves in the eighth month, we realized we needed help. We purchased a deal on Angie's List for 4 hours of work for $99. Steve was booked a few weeks out. He came on time on the scheduled date. Right away, Steve suggested some additional work to file down an old paint line in order to have a nicer finished product. It was definitely the right thing to do. He worked with the materials we provided him which were definitely not the hightest quality but he made them look really nice. He stayed over the 4 hours without charging us extra so that the job could get finished. We will definitely use Steve again in the future

The service was great! Tim was very professional, punctual, and prompt to respond. We had an issue come up before the project was started, and Tim was quick to respond and resolved the issue. What I appreciate most about the work Tim did, was the attention to detail he put in, and the quality of his work. You can tell he is experienced, and has a lot of pride in his craft! We had him install baseboards with shoe molding throughout the entire main floor (1800 sq ft.). He also framed three doors, an opening between our dining room and living room, and two windows. I have a very critical eye, being a traditional DIY'er, and I don't have a single complaint. We would definitely use him again, and have no reservations about referring him to any of our friends. I contacted Tim about the trim repair and he came out to our house to look everything over. He worked up an estimate and also dealt directly with the supplier to find the right pieces needed for the repairs. His schedule was booked up and we were looking to get the work done as soon as possible, but he still put in the time and effort to get the replacement trim ordered from the supplier, followed up with the supplier regularly, and kept me updated as to when the trim would be delivered. Once I received the trim, he was able to find an opening in his schedule to do the work. In the meantime I had gotten quotes from multiple other providers to do the work, and Tim's quote was by far the least expensive. Tim showed up on time, completed the work quickly, and the work turned out great. He was professional and left no trace of his activity either in the house or in the garage where he was trimming the pieces. I highly recommend Brewers Carpentry Services

I got a prompt response from Tim. He showed up on time, and his price seemed reasonable. He finished the projects in less than 2 days. He answered any questions I had patiently and respectfully. I was very impressed with Tim's workmanship. The crown moulding has nice tight corners with no gaps. The miters on the light rail are excellent. The stairwell trim is lovely. The window and door trim that he was to match actually looks better than the original. It is just put together better with better miters and seems. Plus, I can't wiggle the plinth blocks like I could after the last carpenter came. He did underestimate how much of one type of trim he would need, but he then went and got that trim himself. He had to splice one piece of the crown moulding together, but as we are painting it, it will not be noticeable. I am very happy to have all of these little unfinished projects done, and very happy with the quality of work. I would not hesitate to hire Tim again

Chris did his miracle work cutting out broken pieces and fitting new wood in perfectly. It could not have gone better. Victor, the owner, is so professional and so easy to work with. He referred me to a wonderful tile shop that he works closely with and who made picking out the tile a breeze. Victor also ordered what I needed and picked it up and incorporated that cost in the estimate. Victor is a hands on owner. He was in contact with me at every step of the way. He was on sight at least once every day to insure everything met his high standards and to insure that I was happy with what had been done so far. He was also there to work if something required two workers. Every concern I had was addressed and no concern was too small. He always let me know when workers would arrive and if there would be any changes or delays. My job was not huge but Victor acted like it was a million dollar project with all the attention he gave it. Andrey was assigned to do the work. I could tell that Victor has employees similar to him. Andrey did a fabulous job. You can tell he is a perfectionist. Everything was precise and exact. He was always on time, kept everything clean and protected, checked in with me at every new step of the project to insure that I was happy with the progress and with his work. He would go over everything at the end of the day and again in the morning to check if I was still happy with how things looked and whether I had any new questions or concerns. Victor did the same. His work was impeccable. I can not say enough that is positive about this company. I am so Happy I picked Metro Floors to do my master bathroom

Awesome. Alan is a laid-back guy, but 100% customer service professional. we quoted the same joh to others. Some higher (much higher), some scary low. Clearly Alan and team know what they are d*** and had a lot of local referenced that we could go and see their work. Crews showed up early and stayed late every day (about 5). Cleaned up and organized all their materials every night. At the end of the job, I walked the job with the crew lead who was with the workers every day and made a list of a few things that I pointed out needed correction/re-doing (many small details - I am a perfectionist). They re-did them do questions asked and no pushback at all. "No problem Jeff - we will keep coming back and do all these things until you are happy - that's our job". Solid professional painter and great customer service. Highly recommended. One year on, the exterior looks like it did one year ago. (I am late posting this review!

My home looks fantastic and it is very apparent Lane and my team of painters not only enjoy their work but have high standards in all aspects of the work they provide. My initial phone call was returned by Lane the same day and he provided a detailed written estimate two days later. I greatly appreciated Lane's willingness to answer my questions about patching two areas of stucco where a retaining wall had been attached to my home and in particular, his professional attitude and willingness to have my home painted within a 2 week time-frame due to getting our home on the market. He also brought paint samples to my home and returned a few days later with paint samples which he painted on the back of my house to help me select the final paint color. Other than 2 windows accidentally closed by the painters prior to being dry, the finished results and attention to detail were exceptional! Considering my 1950's home had been remodeled 5 years prior, including 12 transom and/or large windows, the two coats of paint blended the earlier re-dash textures beautifully with the original stucco; my home looks up-dated and lovely. One of the unexpected details was when I discovered the small rust spots on my five-foot iron railing were scraped, primed and repainted black along with the house numbers and mailbox slot. My bushes, plants and lawn were tied back or covered and the downspouts, vents or PVC pipes holding electrical wiring were carefully painted to match the house. When I called about the two windows painted closed, it was taken care of the next day. I'm very grateful and happy to refer Eclipse Painting

I asked Matt for an estimate on a list of small and large items that we needed done in order to get our house ready for sale. All work was scheduled quickly and to fit our schedule. Even when subs were used, Matt was always on-site first thing and he and the subs took great care in the work they did and in safeguarding the rest of our home. He provided a referral for our external scraping and painting work but did not play middleman, allowing us to work directly with the painters and get the job done very quickly as weather permitted. There is no doubt I would use Tyson Construction again as the need arises

I was very happy with the work. John visited my house to examine the floors and gave a clear explanation of my options. He gave 3 different options for finishing systems. I ended up choosing the commercial oil/water system for the maximum durability since I intended to use the living room as a dance practice area. The floors needed a lot of repairs before staining. There were some dark stains from moisture damage, some scratches, and some nail and staple holes from when the space was carpeted. John's crew was able to repair most of the damage by sanding and filling holes, and patched a small number of board where the stains were too deep. They also installed some trim to cover an unfinished line on the baseboard left when carpet was removed. The final product looks smooth and beautiful. I'm really happy how it looks! The crew was very considerate and did a good job preventing dust and debris from spreading in the house. There was a noticeable smell for a few days after the stain was first applied but it gets better quickly. I would definitely work with John again

The job we hired him for was small, but complicated in some regards. He solved the puzzle part of it quickly, and didn't just miter cut the joints; he actually coped them flawlessly. In addition, he noticed an issue with one of our doors while he was here and fixed that too. We are getting ready to sell this house, but we will hire him for future larger jobs at our new home and recommend him to others. Outstanding service and craftsmanship!!
